I wanna be a villain so I can just saunter everywhere. the heroes are always sprinting, always running. you ever seen darth vader run? hell no. and I ain’t about to either.
there’s a deaf west spring awakening bootleg circulating and I don’t think it captures how truly beautiful this scene is, this is only audio, but this night I went, the emotional level was so high, it was so on point, everyone needs to listen to this.

what she means: Deaf West’s Spring Awakening was the first show on Broadway to incorporate American Sign Language into not only the songs and dialogue, but the choreography. The choreography (and essentially the whole show) were blocked and shaped around the ASL, and it wasn’t even nominated in the Best Choreography category for the Tony’s
