i can't be the only one who's noticed just how fucked up the concept of loki joining the tva is, right? i personally haven't seen anyone talk about this but it's one of the main things that makes me so uncomfortable about the show.
like, let me describe this without using any of the language that the series does;
a secret police dedicated to killing entire groups of people "for the greater good," one day picks up a man from one of these groups and tells him that if he doesn't help them catch the person who is trying to take them down, they will straight up kill him.
he is then given a coat to wear, branded with the secret police's logo, as well as clarification in huge red letters that he is NOT one of the secret police— he is part of the group the secret police kills.
this secret police is marketed as morally gray, and the company who makes the show releases merch for you to dress up as the secret police (or as the group that they kill) for fun because they want you to think this is cute and aesthetic.
and also the secret police uses gas chambers.
oh and also also, people draw cutesy ship art of this man and the "good cop" cuddling, while the man is clearly labeled and wearing a bland jumpsuit that the secret police forces him to wear.

A Merlin TV show-style series about Thor, Loki, Sif, and the warriors three in their adventures before the events of the Thor movie. Please.
Even if it’s just a mini-series, I need this in my life.
Adventures in Asgard and the other nine realms, the team of six going on quests and battling to keep the peace within them. Odin and Frigga behind them to send them on those journeys, all the while cutting back to them every so often to show some political intrigue, the tense atmosphere of their relationship, and just to what extent they favored Thor over Loki.
Showing the daily lives of Asgardians and, hell, maybe cut to Laufey sometimes and show the events going on in Jotunheim as well? Maybe that point when Loki showed them how to get through to Asgard in the Thor movie wasn’t the first time he’d ever helped the Jotuns? The others just never caught onto most of it, or if they did, they just never told anyone for fear of Loki being exiled or something?
Maybe even show Loki having a thing for Sif, then eventually confessing his feelings only to get rejected as Sif fell for Thor? That’d be interesting! Especially since Sif was in love with him in the comics. (I know people don’t like love triangles, but seriously, they can be done well.)
I mean, especially the warriors three, at the very least. Because we BARELY knew them from their short time on screen, and they definitely deserve some love.
Maybe you could even show a few flashbacks of things that happened with Hela and Odin? That’d be interesting to see! Gives her a bit more character fleshing-out while also possibly giving some context for stuff that happens later? Cutting back between Hela’s time with Odin and the Brother’s time with him?
Bottom line: Someone at Marvel, or Disney, or whoever else- please, make this happen! (Bonus points if, because Marvel was bought by Disney, the series has musical elements to it. Seriously, I will die on this hill, a marvel musical would be amazing.)
You know... I just realized something while rewatching Earth's mightiest heroes.
The jotuns in that show clearly try to eat people, right?
Do you think- ...do you think Loki ever gets cannibalistic urges because of that?
I mean, Loki is a jotun, right? Or half-jotun in some universes (The universes where he's Thor's half-brother, for instance). So since Jotuns seem to have that same instinct to prey on humans and Asgardians like in the original mythology, it only stands to reason Loki would, too, right?
Obviously, this wouldn't apply to MCU Loki, because it pretty much does everything it can to characterize them as basically just 'taller icy Asgardians with blue skin'. (Or maybe it does apply, who knows, we didn't get that much world building with the nine realms in the MCU universe before phase four ruined everything.)
But for universes like Earth's mightiest, where it's blatant that they eat people?
I mean, I obviously haven't read all of the comics, so maybe something in a comic I haven't read yet disproves that, but from what I'm currently aware of? It's not impossible.

Edward: The rule is no Ex's talk though, it just triggers-
Jervis, with anguish: AAAALLLIIIICCCE!
Edward: Just promise the evening won't end with me in the middle stroking both your heads while you cry about Sherry and Alice.
Jonathan, deadpan: I make no promises.
I assure you, brother, the sun will shine on us again.
I tried to watch Demon Slayer. ...I could barely get through the first episode.
I don't know, there's something about the writing that bothers me. The visuals are nice, but other than that, it's just not interesting to me.
Obviously, I tried to give it its due and watched a couple more episodes after that, thinking maybe it was just one of those shows with a bad first episode? ...But no, it's just like that.
I don't get why people like this show. The writing and direction feels awkward.
I think I'm already tired of the 'all of one character groups into a collective of multiverse heroes' trope. Or whatever you want to call it.
I just tried to watch 'My adventures with Superman' and I was mentally checked out the entire seventh episode as soon as we found out about the 'league of Lois'.
Honestly, that trope is so dumb. I'm not the only one who thinks that, right?
