In the beginning of our relationship, my wife and I would verbalize fantasies during sex. In hindsight, it was mostly me and mostly gay fantasies. One day, she said she didn't want to hear that stuff anymore, so I stopped and buried it......buried it real deep for many years... until it came back. After I came out to her, she said she didn't want to hear that stuff anymore because it was obvious how much more I was into "the gay" than her. She figured (hoped?) that it was just a phase, and didn't need encouragement. Hmmmm..........
