How do you draw the alien & dragony feet so well?? I can never get the toes right, any advice?
Sure do! I usually start with a human-ish shape then extend the toes into a dragony shape. Knowing the basics helps when you want to make something new:
A lot of times you can get away with just drawing the basic shape and some nonsense lines to mimic muscles/tendons and it’ll look good!
If you want to know more about how legs work on the inside I’d suggest looking at the legs of emu, ostrich, big cats, deer, and horses. Emu and ostrich legs will give you a look at that scalie/fleshy toe texture. The tendons in big cat paws are very dramatic and have that perfect little M shape to their toes because of their retractable claws. Looking at the leg bones of horses and deer, especially the hind legs, will help you better understand how digitigrade(”backwards” bending) legs work.
Soooo I've hit one of my apathetic times again.
I finally finished watching violet evergarden. I watched the first 5 or 6 weekly but after a point I just had to stop. As someone who’s lived with ptsd for as long as I can remember, violet evergarden made me feel a lot of things. I saw young her and empathized and remembered a lot of things I normally try not to think about. Sincerely, thanks.
writing is the worst
u wanna write a single, passing line of dialogue so u fact check it to make sure it’s historically accurate, then suddenly you’ve lost track of time, space,, urself
for instance: I wanted to know how frequently fighter planes were used in WWI and now I’m several pages deep into the history of witchcraft in ireland
I think there was something sort of profoundly beautiful about the Wii.
I don’t know why, but especially with the built-in channels there was something about the presentation and the music that really feels so much different from any other console. I think it’s because it’s the first console that tried to be something a little more than just a gaming device, and the ephemeral feeling that came with trying to blaze a trail while still maintaining an air of “we know exactly what we’re doing and are fully confident in these ideas”.
Looking back on it is like a fully realized glimpse into a reality congruent but slightly skewed to our own. The place on our respective timelines was right after the intersection where the two lines fully separated from each other, but only barely.
