Why yes I DO have a lot of silly thoughts about Liza let's get started.
For Chaotixgame reasons I was thinking about different ways that Archie-verse characters could fit into the IDW continuity. There are a few characters I put into a mercenary group (since the Diamond Cutters can't have been the only mercenaries around) and without revealing toooo much about the other members, I sort of imagined that Hershey would be the leader and that she brought Liza up after adopting her in a big sister kind of way.
It's like Espio and Vector but instead of a DJ detective, Liza was taken in by these mercenaries.
I haven't put too much down on paper but it's already one of those ideas I'm WAY too attached to.
Obviously this version of Liza is very different from the character we get in the comics. I sorta speedran her planned Archie character arc from terrified sheltered kid to adventurous, competent weird girl ninja (kept the botany nerd stuff though). She's got some interesting adoptive sisters.
Bonus things maybe - at some point Hershey absolutely had to break it to Liza that she's not a cat. I also think Liza has a few quirks from growing up without any reptilian influences; she's a lot more expressive with her tail and her hand gestures because she doesn't have ears to emote with, all that. She appreciates a good nap and gets the 3am zoomies. Just cat things.

THIS. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS!!!
I have such a brainrot idea of post-betrayal Cassie teaming up with Roxy to help get her out but with the elevator destroyed they have to take the long way back, aka going through the entire PizzaPlex again. Roxy is determined to get Cassie out no matter how hard it is but Cassie decides she has a lot more to do down there in the meanwhile.
First thing turning M.X.E.S security back on but it's very weak and vulnerable without the security nodes. The Mimic is down there somewhere still but it certainly will try to follow and escape once it's no longer stunned. So Cassie offers M.X.E.S her vanni mask as a first initial node (with M.X.E.S and Helpi instructing her how to do so,) so that the security bunny has some grounding to start on. This allows both Helpi and M.X.E.S to talk to Cassie through the mask's implant.
So on the long way back Cassie tries reactivating the parent nodes and child nodes.
Since she gets on better terms with M.X.E.S it no longer tries to get her killed, meaning most past threats aren't gonna be prone to attack her... but thats not enough for Cassie.
She goes out of the way to help those broken, confused things seemingly tortured beyond repair. She tries to save every thing stuck down there with her. She clings to the idea and need to there being some meaning in a little compassion in such cruel, twisted world.
Getting her hands dirty pulling trash and rotten food out of Chica's body to disobstruct these nasty things from her endo ontop of returning her voice.
Getting her hands scratched up trying to reboot Monty after draining the water he was electrified in.
Getting her hands sore trying to pull out every sharp metal seen impaling into Prototype Glamrock Freddy.
They join Cassie along with roxy.
Reactivating the mini Music Men, they help her through too vertical vents. Reactivating the wet floor bots.
Basically undo everything the Mimic tricked her into doing, with an additional offer of bits of kindness. It was her kind heart that led her down. It can lead her back up. And she's taking everyone up with her.
Trying to patch and fix Bonnie up. Recruiting the Daycare Attendant so they're not doomed to an empty lonely daycare.
Cassie tries to make everything better for everybody. By god does she wish she had the power to just fix literally everything! But she can't... so she sets on her heels and tries to fix whatever she *can* fix.
By the time they make their way back to the lobby where this nightmare and deception started, Cassie has gathered a large group of unlikely friends. They're finally here! They finally can leave. See the sun. Be free! Be happy again!
As beautiful of a sentiment that is... it's not that simple.
They can't all just leave; they need to stay to help M.X.E.S keep the Mimic sealed away. They're guardians as much as M.X.E.S is. And if a similar crisis happens again, M.X.E.S needs guardians to send distress signals to to come and help. It can't guard the place alone.
Cassie can leave though. She earned it. She deserves her happy ending. She did enough- no she did more than enough. She did more than many ever did.
But if it's her happy ending, then why does she feel her heart breaking? Why does it feel so unfair? Looking at those disfigured broken faces (or lack thereof, in the case of Prototype Glamrock Freddy,) she can see real friends there, despite everything they've gone through. Real friends that would show up to her birthday party in a heartbeat, she knows. Real friends that wouldn't leave her behind. She's never had such friends before in her life!
And now she's the one who has to leave them behind?
This feels awful. She feels awful. It doesn't feel like a happy ending at all. All she can bring herself to do is cry her heart out while hugging and clinging to those metal monsters.
But it's necessary, as painful as it is to part ways. It's the right thing. They have a very important mission in there, and Cassie has a whole life ahead of her-- she shouldn't stay really, there's no proper or safe food for her down there. And this is no place for a child, this is no longer the fun Freddy Fazbear's Mega PizzaPlex where people come to play, eat and watch the Glamrock band. Those are times long passed, long gone, and forgotten by most.
Besides, she can leave with her vanni mask, the first and now last node. Even if history repeats itself, there would always be one node left. It's a perfect safety plan.
Or... Cassie can choose to stay a little longer, if to check if there's anything else she can do... such as unlocking that mysterious scooper room... it sure is scary, the thought of getting down there again. But with those new friends by her side rather than trying to stop her, the trip back down is quite easier, if still rather dangerous due to the place's hazardous condition. But she will not fail this time. She's determined not to.
Maybe then, she can make everything right again, for them all, after all.
ok so, since this is gonna be a large post im gonna try to divide it in sections in the next order: location, characters and motives, plot, changes and design. there may be some things here and there that slip, and since im planning on making this a big project im gonna try to not jump into spoilers that much
(has a note, some aspects may change has more games come out, so what i say in this post may be edited or no longer apply when those changes happen)
so, without much wait, let's dive into the rewrite!
LOCATION
The location where the game is taking place in the same place has canon (a kindergarten in Canada, Montreal) the state is not changing as it does not affect the characters other than their accent. The kindergarten however is changing in design both on outside and inside, as it is redesigned into a mansion that was repurposed as a kindergarten by the owner of this mansion. after the accident it fell in ruin, leaving it empty has some sort of urban legend
opila’s room will resemble the original, but more soft and less plastic. something similar to the reincarnated version, with tubes on the walls and a more cushion-like floor and the egg hunt will be the same as reincarnated (instead of feeding Opila, you put them in a nest).
now to the facility itself, it's similar to a hidden bunker, many levels leading down to a cave system, it being divided in sections, the first being floors like communication or information, the others being of testing and subjects rooms, and the lower ones being of extraction and collection of Givanium (i'll get to that in a second), has the lower it gets its more dark and slightly more claustrophobic.
CHARACTERS AND MOTIVES
Now this is the part where I explain some of the characters and their motivations, to not make it too confusing, I'm gonna only explain the characters up to chapter 2. so let's start with the most recognizable
BANBAN
I’ve changed a few things about Banban when speaking about his personality and motives. instead of being whatever he is right now (a smart guy thats melodramatic about his issues if i have to guess) and more for a cowardly but helpful in some sense, he still has his problems with his violent form, but acknowledges that is something he should fear and locks himself has far away as possible, giving instructions and opening doors from where he is.
im keeping the “he thinks he’s Uthman” to some extent, where he knows who his donor was, but cannot recall any clear memories from him, making him feel lost as to who he is and who is the “real” Uthman. his main motive is to get out, has he feels he doesn't belong there
BANBALEENA
Her personality and goals are somewhat similar to the original, “energetic but crazy teacher that went mad due to isolation”. she IS kind tho, is just all the bottled up trauma with the isolation and being a subject of experimentation, at some point in the plot she will turn neutral, not attacking the protagonist unless they do something.
OPILA
Simple, it's a bird and it's trying to protect its children. there's not that much character in her, after all she’s made to act like an animal, so she mostly acts on instinct.
JOSH
It's a similar case to Opila, acting more out of instinct like an animal rather than a person. The only thing I'm changing is him seeing the player has “dolls'' and him being some sort of giant baby monster. so he will be more of “giant unpredictable monster that is better to not provoke”
FLYNN
im changing more his personality than his motives (they’re still different but still connect), personality wise he’s more like a rowdy young adult rather than an all knowing elder god, he’s more naive and easy to anger, besides he shows his emotions pretty quickly. his goals are somewhat similar to the canon one, that meaning that he wants to get out, but the difference is that he doesn't want to do it at the expense of children, he would want more to find a way out himself and risk dying than putting innocent children in danger, so when he hears that they’ve been dragged down to the depth he’s fuming.
FIDDLES
he would take more the role of friend, as he has the mentality of a 3 year old therefore not knowing any better. it's not a big role but that's because i still don't know his role in canon, guess i'll have to wait for chapter 4 (this may be updated in some future)
SELINE
Despite her role being small I still wanted to expand on her a bit more, she’s someone who’s very scared and constantly in a fight or flight response, if she can't flee, she will fight her way out. She's more like an alarm for other subjects, as if she sees something that could be potentially dangerous she announces it or just stays for a second before leaving.
NABNAB
Nabnab is something between his canon version and canon josh, as he feels lonley and wishes to have a friend, but also doesn't understand why his actions have negative consequences, as he was never taught or understood what it meant. his personality is awkward, stalking people and forcing them to go with him, not wanting to hurt anyone unless its demands are not met.
TOADSTER
Toadster is a little more complicated, despite his role still not being clear, his motives are very relevant to the plot, so i'm just gonna say he’s looking for someone specific. Meanwhile, his personality is somewhat distant and cold, not that big of a talker. He has some negative feelings towards the experiments, but that's something for later.
PROTAGONIST/SUNNY
now to the protagonist (who is my personal interpretation of it). She's a single mother that is looking for her missing son, willing to do anything so he (and the other kids) get back to their families safely. She's scared easily and very nervous, but she’s also stubborn and very protective, which is the reason why she decided to go this deep to find the children.
ZOLPHIUS
Zolphius has the same issue has Toadster, where he's very important to the plot to the point i cant speak about him too much, so better talk a out his personality. He's not evil or creepy or whatever, but rather more like a "incredibly nice and silly person who just turns out to look very fucking scary", he loves singing and dancing, he may appear here and there and give cryptic warnings, but overall he's not dangerous.
PLOT
The plot is gonna be the same as the original, a parent looking for their missing child in an abandoned kindergarten that has a dark secret. The things that i'm changing and adding about it are more centered around characters, with this i mean that things such as "Banban's identity crisis" and "what happened to the scientist" are gonna be more of subplots or things to give more background to the story. Some things like the Givanium and the note of the children will still be there, but those are gonna take a deeper role with Zolphius.
Something I've been thinking of but don't know if I will do is that I could jump between moments in time (like the hallucinations of Flynn, which I've decided to change so Zolphius gives them) to see a different perspective of it, but I'm not so sure.
CHANGES AND DESIGNS
Now to the good stuff, the changes to i made to the characters designs and things i've added to make them feel more unique
(Note that i may have changes some little things about the character designs before making this post)
EXPERIMENTS
The group of experiments all have their unique things, so before going individually I would like to point out some little things ive changed about the characters. I've changed it so there needs to be more than one genome, or else the subject would become unstable and not survive, therefore needing to add some animal genomes so it would become stable. this means that the experiments have some part of not only animal instincts, but also some animal characteristics
Some other details are scars caused by accessories made by the scientist (electro-shock collars) so they could be assured they would be in their best behavior.
Another thing I changed, and is important to mention, is their roles. Their purpose still is to help teach kids, but their main role has been replaced from “teachers” to “entertainers”, by this I mean that they’re more of a circus or actors rather than actual teachers, they still teach stuff but their main goal is to entertain children.
ok now onto each individual character
BANBAN
I made him taller and have more animal-like characteristics, resembling something somewhat “human”. His main role was “acrobat '', being able to perform tricks in the air and those where it looks like you breathe fire. His feral form is more animalistic, running in all fours as he chases you and throwing everything on his way just to get you, this also relates to his facial expression. instead of having that goofy smile all the time he actually can emote, his tongue and smile only show up when aggressive. another thing i changed even tho is not that important, is that his alias is now “the goat man” instead of the devil, because it sounds less weird
BANBALEENA
Similar case has Banban, making her have more animal traits but keeping some human traits, her horns going inwards and giving it the appearance of bunny ears. Instead of being a normal teacher, she’s a ballet instructor that also teaches arts ‘n crafts, she retains most of her canon traits as stated before, but having a different aggressive form which is similar to Banban’s. She also runs on all fours and has more expressions, and I also replaced the object-students with mannequins.
OPILA
I turned Opila more bird-like, and made her taller and able to fly, as I felt the original was too goofy by how she was shaped. she’s in a constant state of aggression unless her husband (which i changed their name from Tarta to Doe has in John Doe) shows her the person is harmless. im retaining both ostrich and flamingo donors, has it would be scary if she killed you by kicks than by beak
JOSH
I changed his pose and some of his designs, making him more “strong” and look more like a dinosaur. His role was of the “strongman”, the scar of his face being by fire. i also changed his personality from i suppose is “mentally a child” to “alligator beast”, has i made his donors a gorilla and an alligator.
FLYNN
i made him an octopus, a jellyfish just didn't make too much sense for me, has how could he be so intelligent if he was an animal without a brain. he has most things of an octopus like changing color and squeezing in very small places, and he has 4 beaks that can come out of his eye, and has stated before, he can no longer put us in a hallucination.
FIDDLES
I made them look more like monkeys, while also giving them characteristics of children. they’re very similar to the canon interpretation we have where they’re just like 4 year olds, otherwise nothing much has changed.
SELINE
I made her slightly taller and had her eyes bend down as if she was hurt, also gave her small nub hands as I saw it fitting for her. i made her less likely to attack unless she doesn't have an escape route and made her look more beat up. otherwise nothing changed
NABNAB
I made him look more like Banban and Banbaleena, as he’s supposed to look like an evil version of them. The horns on his head are actually jaws and he can rotate his head so it's facing down, the stitches on his back are for keeping it shut, as there are another pair of arms inside of it. he cannot speak but rather just mimics voices and sounds.
TOADSTER
He's bigger than Banban and stronger, he has a shotgun not pictured and his badge hangs off his neck. most of his changes are based off his personality, has he’s more quiet and aggressive towards threats, but otherwise he’s just always annoyed and somewhat remorseful
and has of the other characters of chapter 3 (and maybe 4) i’ll still have to work on it, but i already got some ideas, they just need a little adjusting
