Babies Philip and Izabella were born early into the year, completely healthy! Luckily, there were no complications for either the babies or Lilith.
Both Lilith and Ruben are ecstatic to welcome they're children but find it almost bittersweet with how fast they are growing up. The twins quickly grown accustomed to the chickens, even mimicking them when they would crow or cluck, to which would always confuse the chickens and usually scare them off...
It wasn't too long after, maybe a third into the year, when Lilith found out she was pregnant again. Although ready to welcome the new child with open arms just as she did with the twins, she almost feels conflicted about moving a tad too fast. Money was short, and their house was small.
And,,, Ruben had made an almost fatal mistake when trying to repair the fridge. His candle he was using for light ended up getting bumped too close to the wood and caught the whole thing on fire. Luckily, Ruben was able to put it out fairly quickly, though Lilith is still worried about another fire breaking out, moving every candle at least two feet away from the walls.
Although Lilith was none the wiser, (like many other villagers in town,) she met the infamous witch who lives down the street. She had whispered nonsense and somehow repaired the fridge almost instantly right in front of Lilith's eyes. Maybe she was just tired from all the farm work, the twins, and working through another pregnancy, so Lilith simply brushes it off. (as you can tell, i had too much fun giving the townies intense lore. TW: implied death (like the priest having three daughters before having a son, which he was then relieved only to find his son is fatally sick with only so many years to live.))

Minna had twin baby girls. Luckily, the birth went by with little error and both are alive. We've got little Selma and Zelda Wendlen in the family. There is worry with Selma though because of the fact her head is scarily small compared to her body.
Despite just birthing twins, Minna has found time to herself to return back to the easel in the barns and started painting after long months of not being able to. This piece is still undone, but the more she does, it is beginning to look like she is making a self-portrait. (Which I thought was so cute when I saw the hair color)
Rolf hasn't gotten the bathroom when its free, so he took it upon himself to just shower out in the rain and the pond. Just be glad he went into the more secluded part of their lot to do so, but he's definitely clean for once!
Sadly, baby Selma did not make it. Her head was too small and over the night, Minna found her un-waking. She looked just like her mother, and I think that scared Rolf off because he has been avoiding the house a bit now. Luckily, Zelda is still healthy, she is too little to understand where her sister is, but she definitely knows that she isn't around.
On a foraging expedition, Rolf came across a little foal. He doesn't know why the little horse followed him home, they seem to both have a mutual hatred towards each other. (Seriously, why does every animal hate poor Rolf) Rolf was going to send the girl away and force her back to the wild, but then Minna had seen her, and Minna was not going to let Rolf do that.
Minna was able to convince Rolf to house the foal until she could fully live by herself given the poor foal seems to have an injured back leg. Minna made Rolf promise, and Rolf has a problem of not being able to say no to his wife. While he attempts to work on the foal's leg, the girl kicks him away every time, so it is a bit of a task.
At least the girl seems to like Adelbert, Rolf would have said "absolutely not" if the horse even looked like she might kick at his child. The foal seems to understand enough that Adelbert is three years old only and keeps her distance unless he approaches her.
As stated in last post, I played with the Royals except for the last day of 1308, so this is a pretty short update for the Frost Family.
Ruben finally got his kids and brought them all to Saint Grace Church for Lilith's burial. A nun had come over and blessed her grave before they left, ensuring Ruben that she would be in heaven. (lol as an atheist, that is so funny and weird for playing a family that are heavily religious but we rolling along.)
Honestly, the kiddos have been getting along nicely. Lowri has become quite a troublemaker, loving to take things apart and leaving them in a destructed state. And surprise surprise, Ben is loving the action and chaos that it brings. Poor Philip is usually the one who is told to clean it up.
Ruben is slowly coming to terms with the fact he will need to rewed, slowly being okay with it too. (When his new wife has children, does it make his first wife's children no longer allowed to inherit the farm?) The only problem? Actually finding a new wife.
cannot remember if ive posted character sheets of the others, but here are the ones of the new cast
I mostly played with the royals this year! It won't be very common that I do, but their children aged up and I thought I would check up on them.
Joan: Bea, I just don't know what to do. The entire town seems to hate me, haven't you noticed? Back home in Tartosa, I was well loved, it does not make any sense.
Beatrice: The people are different here, your grace. You know that King Edward is... Well, I mustn't say this if I want to live, if you understand what I am saying.
Joan: No, no, I understand. I just wish that they did not take it out on me. It's tireless behavior.
Jack: Mother, you will never believe it. I think I have fallen in love.
Joan: Jack... This is the third girl this week. It's Tuesday.
Jack: Well, yes, but this is the one this time. And she is actually a royal, so father would approve.
Joan: Your wife is already picked out, Jack...
Jack: Oh. Well then, I think I will fall in love with her when I meet her!
Joan: You've- You've already met her.
Edward: I've been at this for hours, good grief. Is this all of it then?
Luis: That's your first response of action, Your Majesty. There are dozens of others and there are letters from the other kingdoms wondering about which daughter the young prince is getting married to.
Edward: I still haven't done that. I already told Joan that the girl was picked out, has it not been yet?
Luis: No, Your Majesty, you never looked at the letters or the lineup of princesses yet.
Edward: I swear I will have died by the time I finished all of this. I am done for the day, Luis, tell everyone I am not here.

Philip is thirteen! He is getting super close to the eligible marriage age (15) for the 1300s, that is crazy. I made him shorter for my own sake, but he will slowly be aging up even while a "teen" in sims.
New spousal portrait for the Frost family because I kept forgetting to make it, what's new. They've been spending a lot of time together through winter without actually having much to do and have come to the conclusion that they don't actually have a lot in common (game please) so uhhhh. we love arranged marriages, I guess?
Lowri has become a very sociable girl and even made friends with the daughter of the Orellano's who lives down the street. Their cow, Belle, has been warming up to her as she started to come out and talk to her every morning while her mother would milk Belle.
We have a new family portrait with the kids now that they are older, and honestly, should've waited till now to make it instead smh, but here we are! From left to right: Erilyn (4), Philip (13), Eyra (4), Lowri (7), and Ben (9). Next year is going to be the first crisis to impact my game and I'm so nervous, no food sources for three years,,, yikes.
So! My save file got corrupted! I am so... so happy can't you tell? Anyways, this means I have to start over... I got up to 1317, so for the sake of my own sanity, we are starting at 1318, right after the great famine. So, let's meet the new "cast"
I gave them the biggest lot in chestnut ridge and brother... it took too long to build everything, i don't even know if it was worth it or now gah. (i didn't take pics of the actual house cause... it's meant to look like shit. and we don't need to see that)
So, yeah! That's the beautiful lot. that took way too long. Anyways! Story wise! Minna is already pregnant! (for my own sanity, shut uppp)
Honestly, they've just been doing a lot of hard labour. Nothing too fancy, and I've named their animals after Greek Gods which is always fun! (was totally listening to Epic while building and it kept me somewhat sane)
family portrait~ fun fact, I forgot to put down a chair and then got lazy and didn't put one, so Rolf is in fact doing a wall sit in the air, rip his thighs.
Elise and Levi Weldon everybody <3
they are so in love, i’ve never gotten this moodlet and have no idea if it is from a mod or what- but he’s so in love
Starter Heir:
Starter Heir's Wife:
To start off,,, Ruben and Lilith settled into a farm together shortly after marrying. With the little money from Lilith's father, they were able to buy a cow and two chickens. Their farm (gardening patch) is by no means fully used, but they have a few crops growing already.
(pretending the pregnancy test is grain seeds...)(I ALSO FORGOT TO TAKE OFF HER NAIL POLISH FOR A HOT MINUTE IM SORRYYYY) Within a couple months of living on the farm, Lilith was overjoyed (even though she looks in tears in the photo- I swear she was happy) to find out that she was pregnant!
The move was surprisingly a lot easier than Lilith was fearing it to be (she had a really close relationship with her father, and he ended up passing a month after she moved away-) and she found to enjoy the farm life with Ruben fairly quickly. (Given she grew up a baker's daughter, though they were by no means wealthy.)
Oh. And Vlad decided to show up and feast on Ruben... Erm. It was not planned. (I swear, I tried stopping it T-T he would not leave) So he might be a tad... under the weather? (I have a mod that makes being bitten have a chance of being turned... I don't know what to do if he does turn... sigh.)
It took literally almost until the last three months for Lilith and Ruben to be able to make anything other than gruel... Lilith was pretty proud of herself (and relieved to eat something other than gruel) when they finally had the ingredients to make porridge. Of course,,, not a first choice either,,, but it was better than gruel!
