Even as far back as the book of Genesis, God revealed His plan of salvation for mankind. That even though the devil (the serpent) would decieve and manipulate to bring sin into the world, and have Christ crucified (bruise His heal), it would all be in vain! Christ would arise the third day, defeating death and the devil! (bruise his head)

Fluffy February Day 4: Strangers to Friends

(Inspired by all my favorite friendships in all my favorite fandoms)

Once upon a time, they had been strangers. Funny to look back at that time now, as though there ever could have been a part of life where they weren’t friends.

It had started small, a smile, a wave. Then the first conversation, the discovery of a shared interest.

(Saving each others’ lives a time or two didn’t hurt either.)

And somewhere along the way, between great adventures and the small, mundane things that build a life, the alchemy of time worked its magic, transmuting lead to gold, strangers to friends.

Impossible, now, to imagine a world that didn’t hold them both, fast friends forever.

Sometimes a family is a brilliant Biochemist, her husband who's whereabouts and when-abouts she cannot know without putting him in mortal danger, their grandson who is the same age as them, and a Millennium-old Sentient Synthetic being who all live on a time-traveling plane. and that's beautiful.

SOMETIMES a family is a young woman with earthquake powers, her surrogate mother with no emotions of her own, her surrogate father who is now an android BUT has a lot of feelings, and her constantly-bewildered boyfriend who was meant to die in 1955 who all live on a time-traveling plane. and that too, is beautiful.

AND SOMETIMES, these two families (plus a Colombian Speedster with robot arms and her boyfriend, their leader, with his large and powerful form) come together to create one bigger even more beautiful family, who all live on a time-traveling plane.

Could somebody give me Dorothy L Sayers 101? I had never heard of her until joining tumblr, where you fine people seem to talk about her a lot 🙂 She sounds like some kind of hybrid of Agatha Christie and CS Lewis! Where should one start with her? And can one pick up any old Lord Peter Wimsey book from the library with no context, or do they need to be read in sequence?

People all throughout history have seen the same sun. They had red dawn light and warm noons and sunsets reflecting off puffy clouds. History wasn't just illustrated in books; it felt the sun.
