why does batman hide his identity from the public? supeheroes do it so their closed ones don’t get hurt when a villain inevitably attacks their family to gain leverage. bruce’s family is a circus of orphans that equally kick ass and get their asses kicked on the daily anyway, and a butler that gets cold called by the joker every other monday evening because he wasn’t invited for sunday roast. what does he have to protect? is it because the mask is actually the man and not the bat? no. he’s a bitch in and out of the cowl. what is it? why are you hiding? if i was batman i’d throw a party at the manor to announce what is really up and turn around to reveal my batman-themed assless chaps. bat on one cheek, man on the other one. i tattooed my stupid hero name on my ass, that’s right. who’s gonna stop me? who’s going to FUCKING stop me, i’m batman

i think the thing that sets me off about kuron’s death isn’t even the fact that he died, but how he died without any kind of closure. in the blink of an eye he was under haggar’s control, and that was the end of it. he didn’t get to heroically sacrifice himself at the very end, he didn’t get to respond to keith at all. the only thing we got was a crushed look and a shaky “keith..” leave his mouth in a second of clarity before it was all over. and that shit really cuts me deep
