My niece watches a lot of octonauts and this got stuck in my head for a month
Why didnโt anyone ever tell me that if you ask a teacher for help you might just walk away knowing the subject matter???
2 โข 2x06 - Never Been Kissed
โPrejudice is just ignorance, Kurtโ
Young Parisian corset maker Sylvain Nuffer began cutting, stitching and boning corsets for men four years ago and now sells 30-odd standard models a year at 500 to 600 euros (650 to 775 dollars) a shot, 40 percent more when made to measure.
โI felt frustrated by the lack of choice of clothing for men,โ he told AFP. โI made one for myself and they kind of multiplied.โ
Wearing jeans with a gray silk corset of his own making over a shirt and tie, Nuffer, who learnt the complex trade with his corsetiere mother, stands tall, waist nipped in, shoulders wide, back straight.
Corsets for men have a history, he said, worn by medieval horsemen to protect the spine, adopted by bikers today for the same reason.
But the real inspiration behind Nufferโs corset - laced up the back with a clip-open busk at the front - dates back to the heady days of the 1789 French Revolution.
Male followers of utopian philosopher and economist, Count Claude Henri de Saint-Simon, at the time adopted the corset precisely because it was impossible to lace up alone. Having to help each other with the ties symbolised the humanitarian helping-other ideals of the Saint-Simonien movement.
Critics derided Nufferโs early creations, however, saying a garment stiffened with a multitude of bones and stays would be uncomfortable.
Not so, said one adept, Laurent Renaud, who teaches at a fashion school and wears his everyday. โI wear it over a shirt or under a sweater,โ he said. โI use it as daywear or to go out at night.โ
โThe problem,โ he added, โis you get so used to it keeping you straight that it gets difficult to go without.โ

We had the plane on wire tracks that the dancers would always lift accidentally during Toledo Surprise so it would be my job to army crawl on our second layer during intermission to retape them.
Lemme just say that I LOVE your username
Thank you! My freshman year my school did The Drowsy Chaperone for the school musical I was on tech and it was so amazing it kinda never leaves my brain.
Iโm back!
Prom Queen
So there isnโt much in this episode. I love the Furt content, I love Rachel/Mercedes/Kurt/Santana competing, and I do love Sue in this as well as seeing what Will does for her at the funeral, despite their pretty terrible relationship.
So, as usual, Iโm just going to change a few things around. Iโll be going by character arc this time.ย
Sue
Instead of her conspiring against the glee club most of the episode (IE getting their plane rerouted with Terri) Jeanโs death just stops her energy for her anti-glee club ways. Kurt and Finn still take the lead in getting the glee club to help with the funeral.
In the end, Sue pays for the cost of the trip entirely, and thanks them (Specifically Furt & Will) for helping her despite the fact that sheโs done horrible things and tried to stop their club.
This will result in the build-up of S3.
Finn v Jesse (aka Jesse v Glee Club)
Jesseโs comments, along with the fact no one (even Rachel, who is still considering her feelings for him) trusts him, get to Finn and the glee club. After Mercedes, Santana and Kurt put on their same, great performances and yet Jesse only compliments Rachel (and everyone else is there watching) they decide, as a club, to get him out-that none of what Jesse has to offer in advice will work for them.
Mr. Schue, who has finally come to terms (seeing how hurt and angered the whole glee club is with his favoritism) agrees, and sends Jesse away, despite Rachelโs conflicted feelings.ย
He decides, right then, that not only are there to be no more sole-singer solos, butย โduetsโ will be broken down so at least two couples (and not necessarily romantic couples either) can perform them, along with a group number that will try to feature everyone, and save duets and solo competitions for the glee clubโs own personal competitions.ย
They all (with a little bit of convincing to Rachel) agree.
End of Fuinn
A day after the funeral, Finn is considering Sueโs (spoken by Will) speech. When he and Quinn meet for a date, and they spend time just eating dinner quietly, he comes to the realization that the spark is gone, and that though he loves the idea of Quinn, he doesnโt love her the way she deserves or should.
Quinn, who has been playing her prom queen moment again and again, realizes she needs to be herself for awhile: without the attachment of a boyfriend or idealizing the idea of romantic love and popularity.ย
Their growth throughout the season (year) lead them to amicably breaking it off, realizing that their history, their personalities, and their wants are leading them to different things. Itโs finally a end to a relationship that isnโt messy, isnโt by cheating, and is just two people who realize itโs best to end it now rather than risk pain later.ย

Silver?
โWhy on earth would you paint yourselfย silver?โ Finn whispered, standing in the doorway of the bathroom as Sam rubbed frantically at his face with a washcloth, silver face paint covering him from the top of his forehead and down to where his V-neck tee, a light grey, started.ย โDid you use permeant marker or something?โ
โIt wonโt come off,โ Sam cried, trying to stay quiet. The Humdel parents had been kind enough to let him stay for the school year, he didnโt want them knowing heโd snuck out for a midnight screening for a double-viewing of the Fantastic-Four movies. He also didnโt want Mr. Burt to see him covered in silver. He knew the man was very kind and accepting of pretty much anything, but he was sure the man didnโt appreciate his bathroom getting covered in silver paint.ย โFinn!โ He whispered, a bit frantic.ย โHelp me!โ
โI donโt know what to do!โ Finn cried back, stepping into the bathroom to look at Sam through the mirror.ย โMaybe we should wake up-โ
โNo.โ Sam interrupted, his eyes wide with fear.ย โWaking up Kurt is the last resort.โ
โWhy?โ Finn asked.ย โKurt will know what to do to get the paint off.โ
โYou really think waking Kurt up-your brother, who bit you when you woke him up from a nap to ask him where the coffee grounds were-will appreciate being woken up to help me de-silverfy?โ Sam shook his head, and groaned when another swipe at his face with the wash cloth barely removed anything.ย โNo way.โ
โWell,โ Finn shrugged.ย โItโs either I go and wake up Kurt, or you are silver until he wakes up in the morning.โ
Sam wiped again at his face. He looked in the mirror, and whimpered a bit: heโd been cleaning up for an hour, and he was still mostly silver. He still didnโt want to wake Kurt.
โIโll just be silver forever,โ Sam moaned.ย
โWhat are you two-Sam?โ Kurt stepped into the bathroom doorway, drawing back in surprise when the pair whipped around to stare at the smaller teen. Kurt was gaping at him, eyebrows upturned as he took in the situation. Finally, after a few moments of awkward silence, Kurt deflated, shaking his head in obvious disappointment.ย โSam,โ he groaned, rubbing a hand over his eyes.ย โI told you not to paint yourself silver.โ
โOhhh,โ Finn said, registering why Sam didnโt want to wake Kurt.ย โYou didnโt want to wake him, because he told you this would happen.โ
โYes yes yes,โ Sam looked to Kurt desperately.ย โYou can lecture me in the morning. Please help me,โ Sam begged. He clasped his hands-also silver-and made puppy-dog eyes at Kurt. Kurt, for his part, just looked at him through tired eyes, and sighed again.
โFine,โ he said.ย โWait here. Finn, grab the extra washcloths from the cabinet so Sam doesnโt turn this whole bathroom silver.โ Kurt strode out of the doorway, Finn tossing Sam a few new washcloths with his order. The pair waited a few minutes, Sam feeling so tired he wondered if it was just best to sleep in the bathroom and wait until morning to clean, just as Kurt reentered, holding a jar in one hand a glass of water in the other.
โCoconut oil,โ Kurt told him, setting the jar on the counter and opening it up.ย โPut this on your skin, wet a washcloth, and it will come off. I suggest taking a shower after since youโll feel very slick and gross, even if you wonโt be silver anymore.โย
โThank you,โ Sam replied, relieved.ย โWhatโs the water for?โ Finn stood from his seat on the bathtub rim, leaving Sam to finally wash off his mistake.
โMe,โ Kurt replied.ย โItโs why I was up.โ Before he could stop him, though, Kurt raised his arm, and quickly took a photo, having hid his phone in his pajama pants pocket.ย โThanks for not waking me up. Goodnight Sam, Finn.โ With that, Kurt quickly, and somehow quietly, dashed back down the hall to his room, before Sam could grab at him.
โNight dude, Finn said with a laugh.ย โHave fun. See you in the morning.โ Sam could only watch, still too silver for retaliation, as the taller teen left him alone. Groaning for what felt like the 100th time that night, Sam stared back at himself in the mirror.
He was never going to paint himself again.ย
Fantastic-Four be damned.ย

Kurt and Blaine breaking up was absolutely necessary for them to realize what they actually wanted in partners and for Kurt to finally sit down and process everything they had been through
