Dragon eye practice
A piece I did in class today. We covered reinforcement vs punishment and one thing I can't get out of my mind is that this is the first time I'm hearing that reinforcement is more effevtive than punishment in teaching desirable behaviors. In an upper division college level psychology course.
More people should be learning this type of thing in high school. Not all teacher, coaches, and mentors are going to take a class like this one. Definitelly not all parents are going to take such a course because many do not go to college or choose to pursue psychology. But so many children are punished harshly, where reinforcement would better obtain the desired result and would refrain from harming the child or their current or future mental state.
I don't know, it's just some thoughts I had.

Queso and Mango have very different opinions on pumpkin insides, as you can see.
It’s been so long since I’ve done art. This felt so good.
It’s finals week, my family may have been exposed via my aunt who teaches at my sister’s school, and the holidays are coming up. I really needed this break from stress.
First time I've drawn in a while. Used some gel pens I got for Christmas and had not used yet.
I've been keeping busy. The holidays were fast and not long enough, I recovered my breathing just in time for mom to be forced back into treatment and so I have taken on all of the chores, I am mom again to my sister, and I am dog sitter/trainer. Just before being forced back into an intense treatment program, she got a puppy with the intention to train her as a service dog, so I am in charge of her exposure, potty, and basic commands training.
My boyfriend convinced me to start sharing my art, so here it is! I’m a neurodivergent artist and writer who goes by either Ray or Drachen | 22 | self taught |
