Anyways a minor bit of info on him, I like to imagine he was moved from a gritty crime filled town (with more Gotham type villains and the like) to Fair City by his agency, it's just really funny imagining a more serious character being moved to a goofy environment. I also love the Idea of The Narrator being "local" and specific to the area (or the hero) Honestly can you imagine moving to a new city and the first person to greet you is a disembodied voice in the sky? Insane. I'll post more stuff about him later teehee

Okay I know everyone loves Reigen adopting Mob but COME ON. THE KAGEYAMA'S ADOPTING REIGEN IS SO MUCH BETTER AND SO, I have decided that in the year 2023 I shall be providing the Reigen/Kageyama family dynamic we deserve. Sometime post-series, Reigen takes Mob out for one of their semi-monthly ramen nights and the kid seems more distracted than usual. After he bends his spoon for the second time (and the ceramic ones are much more fiddly to fix), Reigen’s finally like “Okay, Mob. What’s bothering you?”

Mob: *continues fixing his spoon* Reigen, internally: shit, is someone giving him trouble for liking boys? is he afraid of how people will react? are society’s judgements preventing him from following his dreams? Reigen: *deep breath* Reigen: *launches into a long and heartfelt speech about how it doesn’t matter what other people think of you and you should always be true to yourself and pursue what makes you happy, and being different isn’t bad, in fact it’s beautiful, and how no matter who he loves Mob will always, always have his support. By the end he’s crying a little and so are half the other people in the ramen bar* Mob: Oh. Mob: Thank you. Mob: But it’s not that either, Master. Reigen, giving up: What is it, then? Mob, wringing his hands: When you ask someone out, it’s polite to pay for their food. But Hanazawa’s appetite is so large and I don’t have a lot of money. There’s no way I can afford to date him! Reigen, suddenly haunted by the Ghost Of Restaurant Bills Past: … Ah.

(and that’s the story of how Reigen ended up sponsoring their first date)

I feel like a great example of The Duality Of Reigen is how he manages to take out an entire squad of Claw goons with charisma and Sakurai's cursed cologne, but the manga reveals that the reason he knows how the cologne works is that one day he got bored, sprayed it directly into his own face, and lost a client when they arrived for their appointment to find him passed the fuck out on the office floor.
