"why didn't she just say no"
"silence kinda implies she was okay with it"
"why couldn't she have taken it to court instead of convincing twitter users"
yeah, y'all the reasons why victims never speak out.
silence is not consent at common criminal law. god, these kids are all middle school age at most and think they know how the law works.
and court? right, as if the justice system full of old men has ever helped SA victims. they'll ask for proof, like do you expect a rape victim to provide a 1080p video of them being raped? no, they're a little bit busy, well, being fucking raped at the time.
why do so many rape cases get attrition, huh?
ok but please tell me I'm not the only one who wants an actual exploration of Stella's character in the show. yes, I know she's a bad person, yes, I know she abused Stolas, but the way she's portrayed is just a kind of caricature of dumb and abusive, exactly like Valentino, when I feel like she has the potential to be way more interesting. Not, to be clear, as a way of excusing her abuse, but as a way of explaining it. Yes, it's possible that Stella's just a bad person, but there could definitely be more to it. For instance, think about this photo we see of her as a kid:
this is obviously incredibly violent and not ok at all. what I want to point out is how Vivzie chose to show that Stella has always been violent and angry, even as a child. in this picture she's what, eight to thirteen? almost definitely around the adolescent age range. if someone is committing animal abuse when they're a literal child, it almost always indicates that they either have anger issues from some type of mental disorder or they had a very bad childhood and home environment. either of those explanation would be fascinating to explore in the show. Stella having an extreme mental illness and never getting treatment would explain both her violence and her seeming stupidity (I use these terms lightly. Obviously not all neurodivergent people have anger or intelligence issues, I'm just saying it can be a cause of those issues). Likewise, her having a bad childhood would explain her defensiveness, childlike impulse control, and how she lashes out easily. People who were abused or mistreated as children often act less mature as adults because they were never given the chance to be a child, and this would account for much of Stella's personality. It would also be interesting if it turned out her family had groomed/manipulated her in some way, since that would make the way Anderalphus treats her make more sense (seriously, he calls her a "fiery vixen," and says she's attractive, wtf??)
anway...yeah. those are my annoying ramblings. I know Stella is canonically abusive, I'm not saying she isn't, or that there's any excuse for hurting your partner, but I would like to see more of her backstory and her become a nuanced character.
Oopies I accidentally made the Freikorps, I didn't know they would organize and install a fascist government, when I made them I was just trying to protect the Republic. I'm sorry that I created the language coached in a fighting a future civil war (or race war). I didn't know they would become fascist paramilitaries. Well I guess we live and learn...
Dream is such a fucking twat.
AH.
@spacecharlotte-man here @zgmoony
Me but with the Electric State too. Fuck the Russo brothers, they're just another blight upon the industry now.
can we like, have adaptations made by people who care about the thing they're adapting
Every time I report a bot another one appears and now they’re also posting stolen art fed through an Ai generator, the same one taken right off my deviantart
Fuck AI generating pictures, AI is not art, AI is garbage and theft and anyone who believes it is art can unfollow me right now because I will only speak more unkindly about AI from here on out
Me and a friend have been developing this conlang thing for use in co-op play, both for immersion and so we don’t need to constantly pause to type things. I call it slugsign :-)
I should note that neither of us know ANYTHING about language structure or conlanging, we just developed it naturally lol.
some grammar notes:
-’punctuation’ style signs (such as ‘question’, ’attention’, ’relax’) come before the rest of the sentence. this is for clarity of intent
-’relax’ can be used to initiate longer, more complex conversations
-signs are VERY position specific. the limitations of the medium make a lot of signs look similar, so using the right starting and ending positions are important.
-’region’ specifies which region you’re referring to by the direction of your arm waggling, and the regions adjecent to the one you’re currently in. For example if you were in industrial complex and wanted to refer to chimney canopy, you’d waggle upwards.
what the fuck do you mean he’s on the internet again
Tried designing the voices!
Holy fuck 😳

Imagine washing up on Dinotopia and getting a talk saying "unfortunately, you can't escape this island! You'll never go home or see your loved ones ever again" & then while you're crying they say "I'm sorry, you'll just have to live on the island of dinosaur communism for the rest of your life" and you look up through your bleary eyes and go. Wait what
