Fact: Today (September 23rd) is bisexuality awareness day. Be aware of bisexuals. They are dangerous.
You know what’s the saddest part about this? That black queer girls have lost yet another form of representation. Black lightning? Cancelled. Batwoman? Cancelled. Naomi? Cancelled. I know what it’s like to be a young black lesbian and all I see on tv are white gays and feeling like there was no community for me. We shouldn’t have to dig, scrape and pull for representation. As always Black Lesbians deserve better.

The entire experience of watching a Shakespearean comedy is hearing the female leads say most beautifully romantic things to each other for an hour or so until one or both of them falls unconvincingly for a man who is either duller than a sweet cream milkshake or definitely gay.
The bury your gays trope has always disproportionately effected sapphic media and now the trope has evolved into entire TV series with sapphic leads getting canceled after 1 or 2 seasons for increasingly shady reasons but are still being pointed to as "representation"
Point blank being told sapphics are good for show but otherwise disposable
All of the modern takes on Dracula really make me wish they would make a mostly true to book adaptation that is a horror comedy, with things like Dracula having sudden costume changes while pretending to be his own staff, trying to knock the crucifix off the wheel in order to steer the ship, and the people of Whitby chasing him around as a dog. Just all the collective hot takes on what's going on with this story that make us, the modern readers, laugh, presented in a glorious cinema quality film.
If TMA was an office comedy, there would be a running gag about how Martin has had Every Job Ever before working at the institute.
Ex:
“Martin, where did you learn to drive like that?!”
“Oh, I delivered pizzas when I was younger.”
“Since when could you completely repair my 20 year old laptop?”
“I worked at an IT help desk for a few months when I was twenty.”
If there are Malevolent fans out there who don't mistakenly read "Kanye" every time someone writes "Kayne," please tell me your secret.
Some "helpful" reviews, in case anyone is on the fence about watching The Sandman:
