The Way His Voice Gets High Pitched When He Talks To Himself

AU where Logan isn't in Williams anymore and with more time in hand, he starts looking at other stuff to do to fill up his days. First he golfed and fished. Logan's a creature of habit, he likes doing the same things, less stress comes with it but even he had to admit he was getting kind of bored. With holidays around the corner, he decided to try his hand at making some recipes.

It goes...not well. In his defence, the last time he's legitimately cooked or baked something for himself, with just his own merit, it must've been when he was like eleven or twelve. He was still in Europe, his dad was busy, his mom was back in the States and he missed the food back home so he tried baking something himself. Safe to say that was his last attempt when he almost caused a fire to break out and had left a permanent mark on the kitchen island in his hurry to get the smoking pan out the oven. Now he's twenty three, more than a decade older since his last attempt and his latest effort proves that it is possible to get worse at baking when your start was already atrocious.

Technically the reason Logan didn't cook or bake at all, other for fear of actually burning down the kitchen, was that his trainer always had pre-planned meals ready for him on hand. His meals were planned down to a T, his trainer or nutritionist, whether it be Benny or Elias, always being the one to do the meal prep while he was left with the job of eating it and not complaining. Not complain, he did. Shoveling whatever motley of vegetables in the bowl into his mouth and swallowing it down without a thought. His favorite part of meal times though was whatever dessert that came after. It always felt like a little present for surviving yet another day. There's just something about dessert that takes him back to when everything, and he means everything, was so much simpler and the only pressing thought he'd have was if his elementary school teacher, Ms Stella, would mind giving him an extension on the essay he should have started two weeks ago.

Logan doesn't give up though. It's just another challenge that he wants to see through. Maybe being an okay chef/baker could be the first step to not feeling like a complete failure every time he wakes up hahahaha.

Logan starts recording his attempts, at first it was to show Oscar what he'd been up to in their home and maybe to rub in the fact he could eat as much dessert as he wanted. Yes, some of the cookies and cakes he made had ended up being so burned that they disintegrated in one touch or were just plain inedible but the sentiment was still there. Slowly he starts getting better, getting more confident in baking and his success rate goes from a 42.14% to a healthy 76.75%. His confidence levels get to a point where he decides to post his baking online. Logan posts it on YouTube and titles the baking series 'Heat On Lo', but under a completely new account, just trying to share his baking journey and hopefully get some tips on how to improve.

His videos get a humble number of views, and he's happy. He's receiving tips, getting better at honing his craft each day and he's as relaxed as he can be.

His low-profiled baking channel blows up overnight, his subscribers going from fifty three to a whopping sixty one thousand. Guess his plans on cruising through without being recognized is ruined. Oh well. His channel grows from there and he pivots to focus on trying to make desserts that are especially suitable for athletes or anyone really, who can't have that much sugar so as to stick to diet plans or just would prefer something a bit healthier while not sacrificing taste.

Fans thought no more surprises would come their way. What could possibly be more surprising than Logan starting a freaking baking channel.
