I am sure many if not all of you have said this atleast ONCE in your life. Well I am here to explain why sleeping is this best shit ever and you should never pass on it
1. When you’re sad you can use it to escape- when you sleep (well for me) I forget in that time what’s making me sad and I have some pretty awesome dreams. I have had to do this several times last year as two people I knew died in that year and I was quite distraught.
2. When you are angry you can use it to forget- same thing with being sad. When I’m pissed at someone and I feel that im about to say something I regret. I tell them I’m going to sleep. When I wake up I’m more calm and less likely to say something rude.
3. Sleeping helps you remember!- I’m sure many of you have heard this. But last year when I was studying for my finals I tried this out and oh my gosh I kid you not I was able to remember EVERYTHING. So Just before you go to bed try reading over something that you find you aren’t able to remember and I guarantee you it would be fresh in your brain in the morning.
4. You are more productive when you have a good night’s rest- I mean this one is obvious. The more rested you are the more productive you are able to be. No more dosing off in important classes, falling asleep while doing homework, or imagining you comfy bed at home! (who am I kidding even when I’m not sleeping I still want my bed) You’ll be more energized and ready to work.
5. Sleep can reduce stress- Same thing with being sad and angry! You it as an escape and to wake up calmed and refreshed.
6. Longer, Healthier life- Studies have shown he more rested you are (not too rested though ;) over sleeping is just as bad!) that persons tend to have longer healthier lives.
These are some of the very many benefits of sleep. So just keep these in mind, sleep on them, think about it and get in those Z’s!
