As you go back home and think about what your wife just told you, you suddenly realize why you got so many strange looks from other people in your wife's office when you were with her at her office Christmas party last year -- and why she and her boss seemed to disappear together for an hour or so during the party. She is distracted. Drinking the morning coffee you poured her she isn't listening to your conversation. You can see it in your eyes she is texting with him. You would love to see her phone, what they are chatting about. It is clear she is not sending a work message or texting with a friend. She has been on her phone a lot more since she met him. First it was fun, flirty. Then they fucked. Now they are going on dates. It would be cheating, since you are not included. He is more like her boyfriend than a bull. But the difference is you know about it. You haven't stopped it. Even if you don't know all the details, like how they are meeting for lunch today. That they regularly meet and have marked it off on each their schedule every Tuesday and Thursday. She is feeling a lot of emotions and hormones are releasing that are making her not think completely straight. At least not about you, the kids, your family. There is a new energy surging through her body, giving her butterflies in her stomach every time an new message comes though. It's the beginning of a romantic relationship causing a surge of sexual and emotional feelings for another man that is not you.
