No good relationship has shame.

“OK. Here’s what happened.

We’d only been sitting at our table for about ten minutes – but we’d already had one drink and we were starting in on another – so on an empty stomach, we were both feeling a bit tipsy.  And then our waiter came over with another drink for me – and said it was sent from a man sitting at the bar across the room. 

That was a surprise, to say the least. The waiter pointed out the man who had sent the drink, and then said that the man had asked the waiter to ask me if I would join him at the bar.  I laughed, and so did my hubby – although I could see he was also a bit unsure of how to react.  Here he was – sitting with me – and another man was asking me to join him at the bar.  I thought my hubby might even get up and give the man a piece of his mind – making it clear in no uncertain terms that I was his wife and he would not stand for another man flirting so openly with me.  But instead, my hubby just looked uncomfortable about what had happened. 

I asked the waiter to tell the man “thank you” and that I was flattered, but to also tell the man that I couldn’t possibly join him because I was married. The next couple of minutes were sort of awkward as my husband and I worked on our second drinks while hardly talking, in part because I kept trying to steal glances over at the man at the bar. The thing is … he was VERY good looking. And very well dressed.

A few minutes later, the waiter returned, and he said that the man had now asked him to tell me that the man could see that I was married, but that didin’t matter to him and he thought I was very pretty and very sexy, and he still would like me to join him at the bar. The waiter also said that the man said to tell me that that my husband looked like he was probably a beta who wouldn’t do anything to stop me from going over to the bar.

I wasn’t sure what to say at that point. But I admit I was REALLY feeling flattered and … quite tempted. Maybe if I hadn’t had two drinks already nothing would have happened, but I HAD had two drinks, and so – now that I was ready to start on the drink that the man had sent over – I picked up the glass and turned and looked at him and smiled and mouthed “thank you”. The man smiled back, and crooked his finger to beckon me to the bar.

I then surprised my hubby – and myself – by asking my hubby how he would feel if I went to the bar to chat with the man?  My question got my hubby all flustered, and he got a weird kind of look on his face and asked me if that was what I wanted to do? Well – I had expected him to say it would make him angry or something like that – that he would make it clear there was no way I was going to do that. So I answered my hubby honestly by saying  … yes … I was thinking I’d like to at least thank the man for the drink.

So, while my poor hubby sat at our table alone, I took the drink and walked over to the bar. The man greeted me with a warm smile and a kiss on the cheek, then I sat down with him and we started to chat.  He was – really fun to talk with. Smart. Funny. And very complimentary. And I guess the minutes began to pass, until finally my husband came over to find out what was going on – why I hadn’t simply thanked the man and then returned to be with my husband.

Keep in mind – by then I’d had three drinks AND I was having a wonderful time talking with this incredibly handsome and sexy man. So when my hubby came over and asked if I was ready to go back to the table with him, I somewhat angrily told him no – that I wanted to spend more time with the man who had bought me the drink – and then I basically told my hubby that I thought he should just leave and go on home by himself!

When he heard that, my hubby got such a defeated look on his face – it was a look like nothing I’d ever seen on his face before. And then the man said to my husband that he thought my hubby should do exactly what I’d told him to do. For a moment I thought my hubby might actually cry, but then, with his head down, he submissively did as I’d told him to do.

Well – suffice it to say that I ended up going with the man up to his hotel room, and we had sex three times – twice at night, and then again in the morning just before he drove me home.

When I walked in the house, I could see that my hubby was really upset – but I’d had such a wonderful time I was in no mood to hear anything negative from him, so when he asked me, in a hurt but a bit angry voice where I had been, I told him the truth. I told him he was now a cuckold, and that the sex had been incredible, and that the man had asked me to return that evening to have dinner with him and then to spend the night with him again – and that I’d said I would! And then I went up to the bedroom for a shower and a nap, before making my emasculated hubby drive me back to the hotel for my dinner and sex date that night.

Anyway – so THAT is what happened on my anniversary. “
