You had a very stressful week. Your boss wanted all records for the last few months and you were on the edge with the time hoping that you haven’t missed something.

When you got home every night you felt exhausted like you have never been in the past. In fact, you were so tired that you didn’t even want to make love with Bucky.

He was worried sick about you that you’re pressing yourself too hard at work and he wanted to help you. Every day he would cook breakfast and dinner for you and would remind you how beautiful, strong, and intelligent you are.

But when that week extended to a longer period you started to become more tired, moodier, more negative, more insecure.

Everything seemed to be upside down. Bucky was always making sure you are taken care of but your mind was going crazy. Waves of anxiety, panic attacks, and negative thoughts were rushing through your mind every time Bucky tried to comfort you.

You wondered why he chose you. He could have anyone else but he chose you. The water spilled when you were walking through the compound when you saw him talking with Natasha.

“Of course.” You told yourself. He was probably gonna break up with you. Why spend time with such an ugly girl when he could have someone like Natasha.

You went to your shared apartment. Tears were flowing down your cheeks but you wiped them away not wanting to be even more miserable than you already were.

You removed your clothes. One by one examining every single part of your body.

First, you removed your shirt. You had lost/gained a couple of pounds and it showed. Probably due to stress. You had a few scars and stretch marks here and there on the skin from missions. Your breasts were too small/medium/too big.

Then you removed your pants. Continuing to examine yourself in the mirror. More stretchmarks, more self-harm scars that not only covered your legs but hands too. Your hips were small/wide.

You felt like God took all those parts from the trash and made you out of them.

You didn’t realize when Bucky came home until he stormed into the bedroom.

“Y/N? What wrong, honey? What are you doing?” He asked softly but you could catch the worry in his voice. This was it. The tears started falling down your cheeks like river.

“Why do you love me? Look at me! Why are you with me when you can have a beautiful and mentally stable girlfriend like Natasha!” You fell on the floor unable to take any more of this.

He immediately grabbed your shaking body and hugged you tight. “Y/N, listen to me. You are the most amazing woman I have ever met and I’m 106 years old. Believe me, I have seen a lot of women but none of them are like you.” He was stroking your back with soft motions drawing imaginary shapes.

“You are beautiful inside and outside. This body. Your body. Gives me the touch I never thought I could feel again. It gives me love, pleasure, warmth, and who knows make one day it will give me a child, too.” He chuckled at the thought of having a mini you running around.

“You are gorgeous. Those marks only show how strong you are and how you managed to keep yourself altogether. You are beautiful, intelligent, caring and most of all you are the love of my life.” He kissed the top of your head before cupping your face.

“You think so? I saw you talking with Natasha earlier and I thought are going to break up with me.” You said but it came out like a broken sob.

“I was talking with her because I wanted to make you a surprise and I needed advice from a woman because I have no idea what to do.” He smiled looking at your eyes brushing away the tears with his thumb.

“What surprise?” You asked confused.

“You will see, my love. Just be patient.” He planted a kiss on your forehead, then on your right cheek, the left, your nose before he stopped on your lips.

“I love you, Y/N. No matter how you look or what you think I will always love you until I die. God, I love you more than life itself.” He murmured before bringing his lips to yours for a kiss full of love.

After you broke the kiss you understood how much he adored you, how much he loved you and how if he could he would put you on a pedestal.

God and you loved him too. You wanted to spend the rest of your life with him. Raising a family with him and living your life. With him.

So context for the latest Oscar drama (2022 edition):

Chris Rock was presenting an award and made some jokes about certain stars in the crowd.

He noticed Jada Pinkett Smith has a shaved head and joked that she was going to star in GI Jane 2 (a movie where Demi Moore famously shaved her head).

Will Smith originally laughed, saw his wife wasn’t laughing, then got up, walked over to Chris, and slapped him.

Audio was muted where I was, but uncensored clips are out showing Will yelling at Chris to keep his wife’s name out of his mouth.

Will Smith has now won Best Actor and as I write this is giving a speech. He apologized to the Academy and has said protecting family is important.
