I Just Saw The Question About Gabriella Asking Her Mother If Her Boobs Will Be As Big As Hers One Day

I just saw the question about Gabriella asking her mother if her boobs will be as big as hers one day and it made me remember the Szene of the movie. And that made me thing of Gabriella asking that question her father Miguel instead

😂😂 OMG

----

"Papa?"

"Hm?" he was looking at his computer screen when Gabriela entered his office.

"Mama uses bras, right?"

His head whipped to face her, brown eyes staring at him with wonder.

"Uh, yes she does. Why?"

"Bras are used to hold big boobs right?"

He nodded

"Do you use one?"

He blinked at her words, as his face was trying to find the right emotion that fit the situation.

"I mean, you have big boobs as well."

Miguel sighed softly and put the laptop away.

"Do you have milk in there, like Mama?"

Miguel couldn't help but chuckle and shake his head.

"No, mi sol. It's different for men." He sat her on his thigh and ruffled her head softly.

"It's muscle."

"Do I have muscles?"

"Oh yeah, your body is full of them. Your face, arms, tummy, legs, even your tongue is a muscle."

"Really?" her nose scrunched up in wonder

"Really."

" So I will have muscles when I grow up?"

"Of course. If that's what you want."

Gabi smiled and left him alone. He just stared at her leaving, wondering where she was getting all these questions. He glanced at his chest and chuckled.

Another great series!! Check it out!

Plot Twist || Reader x Moonboys

Moon Knight AU

Word Count: Around 1.3k

Summary: in which your boss sends you to keep an eye on a possible avengers recruit. You’re tasked with following him, figuring out who he is, and if he’s good enough for the team. That’s it. But it’s never that simple.

Warnings: None (I don’t think?) it’s really just a story full of fluff.

MARC SLOWLY WALKED out of your bedroom. He was nervously fiddling with the t-shirt that you had given him. His heart was pounding and he felt like he was going to have a panic attack, but he tried breathing through it. He knew he could do this - and he wanted to.

"There you are." You said sweetly as your eyes landed on the man.

"Here I am. ." He responded, scratching the back of his neck.

"Steven asked if he should be worried that you have men's clothes here." He said lightheartedly.

You laughed as you cooked, elegantly moving around the small kitchen. You set her spatula down and looked to the man.

"Is he. . Jealous?" You raised an eyebrow teasingly.

"Little bit." Marc felt the tension slowly leaving his body as you fell into comfortable banter.

"I assure you that Steven - and you - have nothing to worry about. I stole them from an old friend of mine back home." You said as your cheeks turned pink.

"Sorry, I don't mean to insinuate that you like me or have to like me. I was just -" You began to ramble as you tried to fix your mistake.

Marc smiled softly and closed the gap between the two of you, standing in front of your short person. He raised his hand hesitantly before wrapping it around yours.

"No, no. . I understand what you were saying." He assured you.

Your skin burned at his touch, in the best way possible. Steven was so lighthearted and silly, while Marc was mysterious and dark. It drove you crazy. You wanted to know everything about him.

"Well. . Good. Take a seat and I'll serve you." You told him, shooing him towards the table.

He happily obliged and took a seat, adjusting the sweatpants that hung on his hips. You set a plate in front of him consisting of a small stack of pancakes and waffles. You set syrup in the middle of the table before grabbing yourself a plate and sitting opposite of the man.

"I wasn't sure what you guys liked so I just made both." You said referring to the breakfast items, a nervous glint in your eyes.

"I'm good with anything. Steven prefers pancakes." He chuckled as he dug in.

"I'll keep that noted." You said as you tapped your head.

The two of you fell into a few minutes of comfortable silence before you decided to request something from him.

"So, Marc. Just like I asked Steven to, tell me about yourself."

"I - uh. There's really not much to tell." He told you.

You studied his reaction and saw the nervousness and uncomfortable look he suddenly held. You would have to take it much slower with Marc, you realized. He wasn't an open book like Steven.

"Let's start simple. Tell me this, what's your favorite movie? Because I already know how much Steven loves The Mummy."

☽ ♞ ☾

Marc was sat on the couch, waiting for you to find a particular blanket you were looking for. He watched you with humor in his eyes as you scurried around the apartment, looking for the item.

After a few minutes, you returned to the living room, wrapped up in a large fluffy blanket. You took a seat near the man and glanced at him.

"Sorry, I tend to misplace things." You giggled as you grabbed the remote and pressed play on the movie.

The two sat near one another, your knees almost touching. Marc glanced to you and back to the tv, contemplating what to do. Should he hold you? Or should he just stay where he was? He didn't want to make you uncomfortable.

"You can lay with me. . If you want?" You broke his train of thought. It was as if you could read his mind.

He looked over to you, to see you holding your arms open towards him. Without hesitation, he dove into your arms and laid his head on your chest. You giggled at his eagerness and wrapped your arms around him.

"I'm sorry. . You just don't know how long I've waited for this." He admitted in just barely a whisper.

"Really?" You asked with surprise.

He nodded his head in reply, resting his palm against your stomach. You bit at your lip before reaching up and running your fingers through his wild curls - causing him to let out a sigh of content.

You didn't press further and adjusted the blanket so it was covering the both of you. Your focus became engrossed in the movie and that's how you two spent their day off.

☽ ♞ ☾

You were stood at the museum gift shop, a clipboard in your hands as you examined the items for purchase. You had to keep rereading the words on the paper - as your mind was completely distracted with thoughts of Marc and Steven.

Your heart fluttered at the mere thought of the men, a smile always finding a way to your lips when thinking of them. You had come to the realization that you were inevitably falling in love. You knew you shouldn't be and you knew you should feel guilty - in a way you did. Would you ever be able to tell the boys the real reason you came into their lives? They would probably hate you.

That thought made your stomach drop. Should you just tell them now instead of pushing it off? You didn't know what to do. It was another instance of when Natasha would come to your rescue. But that was no more. And you certainly weren't going to ask Peter, the 15 year old, about it. You were on your own and it was nerve wracking.

"Love." The familiar sweet British accent rang in your ears, pulling you back to reality.

You spun on your heels, now facing an adorable Steven. His lips were broken into his toothy smile and all you wanted to do was plant kisses along his face. But you refrained - hardly.

"Hey, you." You beamed as you set your clipboard down and stepped towards him, gently tugging him closer by his jacket.

His curls were wild and unruly - and you loved them that way. His eyes carried bags underneath, alerting you to his lack of sleep. A frown immediately replaced your grin.

"You didn't sleep did you?" You asked him, your voice filled with worry.

You hadn't seen him in a day or two - ever since you met Marc for the first time. He had been busy with work and what you assumed was Moon Knight business.

"I uh. . no." He admitted, a frown now on his face.

"Well. . I guess you know what that means?" You tilted your head slightly as you asked him. He shook his head no and gave you a confused look.

"It means you have to sleep with me tonight." You told him, a smile popping back onto your lips.

Steven's eyes widened at your words. He knew what you meant, but he couldn't help but think about the other thing. He blushed deeply before smiling at you.

"That is very much needed." He told you, an eager look in his eyes.

"Marc says it's just what he needs." He added on with an eye roll, making you laugh.

"Tell Marc, there's enough of me for both of you this evening." You sent him a wink, knowing it would make the man blush even more.

"I uh -"

"Bye, love." You turned and grabbed your clipboard, walking away from the awestruck Steven.

He was stood stuck in his spot, his eyes wide with adoration and lust as he watched you walk away. Marc was rattling around inside his head, demanding him to go after you. Marc wanted to continue that conversation.

"No, no. I have work to do." Steven took a deep breath as he calmed himself, still watching your retreating figure.

"We gotta keep ourselves in control." He muttered to his alter before trudging towards the cash register.

A/N: this is a hanahaki au. WC: 3.9k

Remus sits in a booth, anxiously tapping the tabletop with a butter knife as he waits. The boys had kept him back for too long. At least that’s what he thought. Between trying to find a decent outfit and listening to James’ ridiculous plan, Remus was sure he’d be late; running all the way here to not keep you waiting. Funnily enough, now here he sits, waiting for you to join him.

“Ready to order?” The waitress asks pointedly as she approaches the table.

“Sorry.” He apologizes, setting down the cutlery with a sheepish smile.

“So?” She asks again, this time with a smile. “Ready to order?”

“I’m actually waiting for-“

“Moons!”

Remus’ head whips up at the sound of your voice and when he sees you standing at the entrance, he completely forgets about the person right in front of him.

“Hey.” He breathes, though you’re nowhere near close enough to hear him- something the waitress finds incredibly amusing. She looks between the two of you with a curious gaze.

“I’ll just…give you a minute…” She says- mostly to herself- before turning around and hurrying towards the kitchen.

“Hey. Sorry I’m late,” You apologize once you reach the booth.

“You’re not.” Remus assures you. “I got here early.”

“I had to talk to McGonagall about the classes I dropped-“

“It’s fine.”

“And then I went to meet with Kettleburn to see if he’d still allow me to do my apprenticeship with him-“

“No worries.”

“And for some reason everybody wanted to stop me on the way here to say hi? And like, yeah it’s nice but-“

“You look lovely.” Remus says casually, effectively stopping your rambling.

You freeze, cutting yourself off mid sentence before looking up at Remus with a confused smile.

“Just for the record.” He adds.

“Shut up.” You mumble, laughing nervously.

“No, really.” Remus insists with a nod.

You continue to stare at him skeptically.

“I especially love your jumper.” He comments, eyeing said garment teasingly while he takes a sip of his water.

You roll your eyes with an amused huff.

“You mean your jumper?”

“Is that where I know it from?” Remus asks, pretending as if the information shocked him.

“Do you want it back?” You ask with a guilty smile, already starting to pull one of your arms through the sleeve. After all, it is long overdue. You’d had it for over a month now.

“Not a chance.” Remus refuses, reaching over and placing his hand upon yours.

Your smile drops as you stare at Remus’s hand now sitting atop yours. Your gaze slowly rises and you swallow nervously when you lock eyes with him. The playfulness of it all gone as you hold his stare, unable to look away.

“It looks better on you.” He adds softly, causing your cheeks to warm.

“I brought some appetizers!” The waitress announces, setting the platter down with a proud smile. “On the house, of course.”

Remus pulls his hand away and you clear your throat, avoiding his gaze as you readjust the jumper. The waitress looks between you curiously.

“I didn't interrupt anything, did I?” She asks cautiously.

“No.” You tell her at the same time that Remus says “Yes.”

You look at Remus with wide eyes before turning to stare at the waitress, no doubt looking just as shocked as you feel. She’d have laughed at your expression if she didn’t find you two stumbling over your words so endearing.

“Right. Well…enjoy!” She smiles knowingly, walking away before either of you can even thank her.

You and Remus exchange a shy grin before digging into the food.

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵

“Sorry again for being late.” You apologize with a frown, dipping some fries into the pile of ketchup and taking a bite. “I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long…”

“Waiting for you has never been a problem before.” Remus hums absentmindedly, picking up a chicken wing and taking a huge bite. “Don’t see why it would be now.”

Choosing to ignore the somersault your heart just did at his confession, you smile appreciatively at Remus only to let out a startled laugh when you look at him.

“What?” He asks, mouth still full of food.

“You have barbecue sauce on your face.” You inform him in between giggles.

Remus grabs a napkin and wipes the side of his mouth before looking to you for approval.

“It’s still there.” You tell him with a shake of your head.

Remus frowns and wipes his face again.

“Did I get it?”

“Not even close…”

“For fucks-“ He aggressively wipes his face a third time. “Good?”

“Give me that.” You huff, stealing the napkin out of his hand. “Come here.”

Remus leans forward and you gently grab hold of his chin as you wipe the napkin across the right side of his mouth.

“Honestly, Moony.” You scold teasingly. “If the napkin came back clean the first time around, why would you continue to wipe the same spot?”

“Make fun all you want, love. From where I’m standing it looks like I won.”

“Oh yeah?” You ask, playfully narrowing your eyes at him. “How so?”

“Mm-mm.” He shrugs casually before smiling at you. “But I am quite comfortable.”

It’s only then that you realize you’re still gingerly holding his chin, with his face mere inches from yours. You see his eyes drop to your lips and that’s when you seem to finally snap out of it, pulling away abruptly to put some space between the two of you.

“Here.” You hand him back the napkin, avoiding eye contact as you do. “Try not to make a mess this time.”

“Yes ma’am.” He nods, chuckling at the offended look you give him.

You playfully stick your tongue out at him and Remus points at something over your shoulder, taking a few of your fries when your back is turned.

“Hey!” You whine when you realize that he’d simply tricked you.

“Oh, did you want them?” Remus asks cluelessly after having shoved the fries into his mouth.

“No…” You shake your head, leaning back in your seat before adding, “…tosser.”

Remus throws his head back in laughter before looking at you with a fond smile.

“Missed you.” He confesses. And it’s true; he had. It had been so long since you’d been your playful self, he almost forgot how much he loved it. Almost.

“Missed you too.” You return. “That’s why I asked you to ditch.”

“Oh yeah?” He asks, taking a large gulp of his drink.

“Yeah.” You confirm with a nod, as you shyly avoid his gaze. “I know how important class is to you but I was really hoping you would say yes…”

“As if I could ever say no to you.” Remus scoffs.

“Careful Moony. You keep saying things like that I might just go ahead and fall in love with you.” You tease, schooling your features even though your face feels as if it’s on fire.

“Is that supposed to scare me?” Remus asks with a raised brow.

You simply grin at him before picking up another fry and dipping it in the mountain of ketchup.

“So how are you?” He asks.

“Fine.” You shrug, dipping the fry back into the ketchup absentmindedly. “Better than fine, actually.”

“You’re not in any pain?” Remus asks worriedly. “Or shortness of breath? Or coughing up flowers?”

“No. No. And no.” You answer, still dunking the fry into ketchup.

“That’s great.”

“Yeah…” You hum, fry now limp and soggy from the amount of ketchup it’s drenched in.

“But?” Remus asks, reaching over and gently grasping your wrist, stopping you from dunking the poor sliver of potato even more.

Finally realizing what you’ve been doing, you grimace at the fry before setting it back down on the plate and wiping your hands with a napkin.

“Do you think I made a mistake?” You ask softly, staring at him with wide eyes, anxious to hear his thoughts.

Remus takes a deep breath before crossing his arms and sitting back in his seat.

“Do you think you made a mistake?”

“No.” You answer immediately. “I mean, you saw me.” You remind him with a frown. “I was at death’s door. This was the best option for me. For my health. My- my chance at living!”

“Then what’s the problem?” Remus asks with a frown of his own.

“I don’t know.” You shrug. “I just… I feel off…”

“Off how?” He asks, voice filled with concern.

“I-I feel like something is missing...”

“Like…the guy…” Remus stutters nervously, sitting up in his seat. “The uh- the one who caused your hanahaki?”

“No.” You shake your head. “I knew I would forget him. I was fine with that. I am fine with that. This is something else. I don’t know what. But I know something is missing. My brain is too…quiet…”

“Quiet? Hmm… Do you think they did the surgery wrong? Did you forget more than you should have?”

“I don’t know!” You groan in frustration before letting out a long sigh. “I don’t know… Everyone worth remembering, I remember.”

“Okay…” Remus nods. “That’s good!”

You look up at him and he’s surprised to see your eyes filled with tears.

“But I feel… empty… and I don’t know why…”

“You’re crying…” Remus says softly.

“I am?” You ask, wiping under your eye and frowning when your fingertip comes back wet. “Fuck.”

Remus hands you a napkin and you take it with a grateful smile, sniffling as you dab your eyes.

“See?” You ask, balling up the napkin and tossing it on the table before pointing at your eyes. “What is this?! Why is this happening!?”

“When was your last period?” Remus asks curiously.

You glare at him and he immediately hurries to explain himself.

“PMS is a thing, Y/N! You know better than I do. Could it be that?” He suggests.

“I am not discussing my monthlies with you.” You tell him matter-of-factly. “…But it’s not that.”

“Okay.” Remus relents, holding his hands up in surrender. “Sorry I brought it up.”

“What if your emotions are trying to get regulated?” He offers instead.

“Do you think that’s possible?” You ask skeptically.

“Considering that hanahaki was thought to be eradicated this whole time and somehow you got it, I’d say pretty much anything is possible.” Remus shrugs.

“Lucky me.” You tell him, voice dripping with sarcasm.

Remus smiles sympathetically at you.

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵

“Hey Y/N?” Remus calls as you both start walking back to the castle.

“Yeah?”

“Can I ask you a question?”

You contemplate it for a moment before eventually nodding.

“Sure.”

“Why did you ask me to Hogsmeade today?” Remus asks, eyes fixed on the ground as he walks. “I mean, without the guys.”

“Well, because I missed you…” You tell him with a nervous chuckle. “I thought that was obvious.”

“I missed you too.” He nods. “But so did Pads and Wormtail and Pr-“ He stops, cutting himself off before he could mention James.

“Well yeah,” You agree. “But that’s different.”

“How?” Remus asks curiously.

His curiosity only grows when you smile knowingly at him before facing forward and skipping ahead, leaving him behind.

“It just is.” You call over your shoulder at him with a giggle.

Remus looks at you curiously but chooses to let it go for now, hurrying to catch up with you. The last thing he wants to do is overwhelm you, so he’ll give you some time before asking all the questions plaguing his mind.

Upon entering the common room, he walks you to the staircase that leads up to the girl’s dormitories.

“Thanks for hanging out with me, Moony.” You smile at him.

“Yeah of course, love.” Remus nods with a smile of his own. “Any time.”

You gaze at him for a moment, as if you’re contemplating something before finally, taking a step closer to him. Remus watches with bated breath as you get on your tiptoes and press your lips to his cheek in a chaste kiss. Remus stands frozen, staring wide eyed at you while you take a step back, staring back at him with a shy grin.

“Okay…good night…” You tell him, turning around.

Before he even knows what he’s doing, Remus has reached forward and grabbed your wrist, stopping you from going any further. You look up at Remus in confusion, wondering what he’s doing.

“Are you sure you don’t remember him?” He asks suddenly, anxiously.

“Who?”

“Ja- the guy. The one who caused your hanahaki.” Remus stutters. “You don’t remember him? At all?”

You furrow your brows in concentration before eventually shaking your head.

“I just remember you.” You tell him with a confused smile, wondering why he’s suddenly bringing him up.

Remus continues to stare at you wordlessly, causing your confusion to grow.

“Why do you ask?” You finally ask him, head tilting to the side curiously as you watch him.

“It’s nothing.” Remus mumbles, shaking his head as he lets go of your wrist. “Sorry. Get some rest, love. We’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Okay.” You nod, waving at Remus a final time before turning around and hurrying up the stairs. “Good night.”

Remus watches you climb the stairs and turn down the hall, surely going to your dorm. As soon as you’re out of sight, Remus leans against the wall, running a hand down his face.

“What are you doing, Moony?” He asks himself before finally making his way to his own dorm.

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵

The moment Remus exits the bathroom, James is standing right in front of him. Remus raises a brow but when James continues to silently stare at him, he walks around him to finish getting dressed.

“So?” James finally asks, following him.

“So what?” Remus asks as he ties his shoelaces.

“So how’d it go last night?”

Remus freezes, smiling softly to himself before shaking his head.

“It was fine.” He shrugs, standing up and quickly fixing his duvet.

“That’s it?” James asks with a frown, following after Remus as he crosses the room to get his backpack. “Just fine?”

“Yeah.” Remus nods, making sure he has everything he needs before closing his bag.

“What’d you guys talk about?” James continues to interrogate as they make their way out of the dorm and towards the Great Hall.

“Prongs…” Remus sighs.

“What? I can ask, can't I?” James defends. “I’m not doing it to be malicious. I’m asking as a concerned friend-“

“She doesn’t see you as a friend anymore, mate.” Sirius interrupts with a grimace.

“-who is trying to get back the woman he loves.” James continues, acting as if he hadn’t heard Sirius- though the flicker of pain in his eyes says otherwise. “So? What’d you guys talk about?”

“I don’t know, Prongs. Lots of things!” Remus shrugs.

“Yeah. But what exactly?”

“I can’t tell you.” He shakes his head.

“Why not?” James frowns.

“I just- I don’t know… Some of the things were quite personal. They were about her hanahaki and her surgery. I don’t wanna put her business out there…”

“So you’re keeping secrets?” James asks curtly. “Again.”

“I’m respecting her privacy.” Remus responds with a frown.

“Sounds like you’re keeping secrets.” James mumbles to himself.

“You can call it whatever you want.” Remus sighs. “But I already told you that I wasn’t gonna spy on her.”

“He’s right, mate.” Sirius agrees. “You shouldn’t put Moony in the middle of all this. I mean… even more than he already is.”

“It’s not spying!” James argues. “It’s simply talking to her and then sharing everything that she said with me!”

“That’s spying, idiot!” Sirius shouts.

“No it’s not.” James frowns.

“That’s literally the definition of it, Prongs.” Sirius groans.

“Okay, guys-“ Peter interjects with a nervous laugh.

“Alright, fine, whatever. Did she say anything about me?” James asks instead, borderline begging Remus to give him something, anything, even the smallest sliver of hope.

“Just that she doesn’t remember you. Like at all…” Remus tells him, smiling sympathetically. “Sorry Prongs. I specifically asked her… There’s nothing there. She- she doesn’t remember anything about you…”

“Oh…” James mumbles, staring at the ground as he walks. “Well, that’s okay…”

“It is?” Remus, Peter, and Sirius all ask at the same time.

“Yeah.” James nods, looking at his friends with a determined smile. “It’s fine that she doesn’t remember me. It’s brilliant, actually. That means we can start all over again. I can do things right this time.”

“How’re you gonna do that?” Peter asks as they finally reach the Great Hall.

“Simple. I’ll just turn on the good ol’ Potter charm.” He winks before heading towards the Gryffindor table.

“Yeah, because that’s worked out so well for him in the past.” Sirius comments sarcastically.

“I don’t buy the whole optimistically positive thing. So how’s he really doing?” Remus asks Sirius worriedly.

“Oh, you know…” Sirius trails off before sighing. “He missed lunch yesterday. And dinner.”

Remus and Peter nod with a frown.

“I finally found him in the locker rooms, and it was completely trashed… Chairs thrown across the room, pictures of past teams shattered, his broom was broken in two…”

“Merlin’s beard…” Peter curses.

“When I finally got him to stop, he broke down crying…” Sirius sighs dejectedly. “Took me ages to calm him down and even longer to get him to move. Finally managed to put him to bed around one a.m.”

The three boys look at James in concern before following after him and taking a seat, mentally preparing themselves for whatever happens next between the two of you.

You enter the Great Hall a few minutes later and scan the table, looking for your friends.

“Oi! Y/L/N! Over here!” Sirius calls, waving his arm to get your attention.

You wave back at him enthusiastically before heading towards him with a smile. You come to an abrupt stop when you see James sitting with the boys- your boys- once more.

“Y/N! Hi! Good- good morning!” James greets with a smile.

Your smile drops as you stand there, staring at him with a blank expression. James swallows, his own smile starting to waver slightly.

“Can I just take a moment to tell you how absolutely stunning you look this morning?” He asks with a flirty grin, hoping that if he over exaggerates, you won’t be able to tell how nervous he actually is.

“Ew. No.” You grimace.

Confidence shot, James looks to Sirius for help.

“We asked James to join us for breakfast this morning.” He’s quick to interject. “You don’t mind, do you?”

You look away from James, taking in the hopeful expressions on your friends faces before setting your books down with a loud thud.

“I guess not.” You mumble, sitting down and starting to fill your plate up. “It’s not like I have much of a choice.”

Again, James looks to the marauders for support. Peter doesn’t even notice, already shoveling food into his mouth. Remus gives him a sympathetic shrug of his shoulders and Sirius gives him an encouraging thumbs up.

“What?” You ask after a few minutes, voice filled with irritation.

Sirius, Peter and Remus share a confused look before turning to you.

“Wha-“

“Do you need something?” You ask coldly, putting your spoon down and staring right at James.

James stares back with wide eyes, mouth parted in shock before he shakes his head.

“Who? Me? N-no! Everything’s fi-“

“Then can you stop staring at me?” You interrupt.

“S-sorry?” James stammers. He’s choking. He wasn’t expecting to get caught staring and now he’s choking- stuttering over his words like a damn fool. “I wasn’t-“

“I can tell your eyesight is shit.” You tell him bluntly. James subconsciously adjusts his glasses. “And while I can sympathize- or at least pretend to, I’d very much like to enjoy my breakfast in peace without you burning a hole into the side of my head from how piercing your gaze is so either lower it or risk going permanently blind.”

All four boys stare at you in shock, having never heard you speak like this before, let alone to James.

“Your choice.” You shrug with a fake smile before getting back to your breakfast.

James shares an uneasy look with Sirius before lowering his gaze to stare at his plate.

“Right…Sorry.”

“You’re about to be.” You warn before taking a sip of your tea.

Beside you, Peter lets out a high pitched giggle before quickly slapping a hand over his mouth. You turn to look at him with a confused smile.

“Sorry.” He apologizes, sheepishly dropping his hand. “I laugh whenever I feel uncomfortable…”

“You’re so cute.” You coo, pinching his cheek teasingly and laughing when he pulls away from you. “Oh my god, look at how red your ears are! Aw, are you getting shy Peter?”

“Stop.” He whines, covering his ears with his hands. “Let me eat! I have a test today.”

Everyone laughs at that before Sirius changes the topic, bringing up the latest run-in he had with Snivellus.

After a few minutes you scan the table, looking for something before groaning. A napkin is suddenly thrust into your face and you pull back with a surprised frown. You raise a brow at James and he smiles.

“Did ya need a napkin?” He asks, still smiling as he holds his out to you once more.

“No.” You tell him, still frowning.

“Oh…my mistake…” He apologizes, awkwardly putting his napkin back down.

You scan the food in front of you once more before turning your attention to Remus and Sirius.

“Do you see any oranges-“ James suddenly stands from his seat and hurries a few meters down the table before grabbing an orange from the fruit bowl and hurrying back.

He holds the orange up with a triumphant grin, chest heaving slightly as he tries to calm his breathing.

“I got an orange.” He pants.

“Congratulations.” You say simply, looking at him as if he’s crazy.

“Do you want it?” He asks, sitting back down.

You narrow your eyes at him suspiciously before looking at Remus who shakes his head, finding himself just as clueless as you are about the whole situation. You turn your gaze back to James and continue to stare at him.

“It’s yours! Here. Have it.” James announces, placing the orange in front of you. As soon as you start to reach for it, he takes it back, much to your annoyance. “Actually, let me peel it first.”

“Do I look like an idiot to you?” You suddenly ask him.

The four boys look at you with wide eyes.

“Huh?” James asks, confused.

“Do I look like an idiot?” You repeat firmly, holding his gaze.

“No.” James denies, vehemently shaking his head. “Of course not!”

“Then why would you think I can’t peel it myself?”

“I-I was only trying to help…” James says softly, gently setting the orange back on the table.

“Yeah well, I didn’t ask for your help. Nor do I want it. Just like I didn’t want you to compliment me this morning. Get it through your head, creep. I don’t want anything from you.”

The boys watch silently as you stand up and start to gather your belongings.

Wordlessly, James slides the orange across the table, hoping you’ll take it, hoping you'll accept his peace offering, but knowing you won’t.

“Keep it.” You tell James harshly before letting out a tired sigh. “Just, keep it and stay the hell away from me.”

With that, you get the rest of your things and turn around, quickly making your way out of the great hall.

“Was that the Potter charm you were talking about?” Sirius asks awkwardly, if only to ease the tension.

James groans, dropping his head into his hands.

“Fuck off, Pads.”

A/N: this is a hanahaki au. WC: 4k This is like 80% James w/ a little Remus sprinkled in there but I promise the next part will have more Moony content!

“Moony!”

Remus jolts when a pillow hits him right in the face, opening his eyes with a tired groan.

“What the fuck?” He complains, sitting up in bed.

“It’s time to get up, mate.” Sirius says, snickering at the unamused glare Remus gives him.

“Did you have to be so aggressive?” Remus sighs, whacking Sirius with the pillow when his back is turned.

“Oi! Watch the hair!” Sirius shouts. “I’ve just done it! And you slept right through your alarm! It woke us all up and you were still snoring, so yeah, I did have to be aggressive.”

“I didn’t hear my alarm go off?” Remus mumbles to himself before giving his friends a sheepish smile. “Sorry.”

“It’s fine.” Sirius assures. “None of us had set an alarm anyway. If it weren’t for you, we’d all be fucked.”

“What were you dreaming about?” Peter asks curiously as he tries to get the wrinkles out of his shirt.

“What?” Remus asks.

“For the first time, possibly ever, you slept through your alarm.” Peter reminds him. “It must’ve been a good dream.”

“Yeah.” Remus says, mind once again going back to the kiss you shared the night of the Yule Ball. “Yeah, it was.”

“So what was it about?” Peter presses.

“Are you guys seriously standing around talking about your dreams right now?” James asks in an annoyed huff as he exits the bathroom. “We have far more important things to discuss.”

“Like?” Peter asks cluelessly, fastening the final button on his shirt.

“Y/N! Obviously!” James shouts.

Peter flinches at the loud outburst before getting back to adjusting his tie, sharing an amused smile with Sirius as he does. Across the room, Remus sighs in annoyance. This is all James talked about during dinner last night, and when they got back to their dorm. Remus thought the conversation was over. Clearly he was wrong.

“Prongs,” Sirius groans as the boys finally start to make their way to the great hall. “This again?”

“Yes!” James insists. “Yes, this again! I’m telling you, something is wrong!”

“Why?” Sirius asks, clearly having had enough of James’ theatrics. “Because she didn’t immediately fall into your arms? Because she pushed you away when you kissed her?”

Remus stumbles on his feet and looks at James with wide eyes.

“Kissed her?” He repeats. “You…you kissed her?”

“Yeah?” James says, giving Remus a funny look. “Didn’t I tell you?”

“No!” Remus denies. “When I got here, all you guys kept talking about was how cold Y/N was to Prongs. None of you said he kissed her!”

“Oh.” All three boys say in unison before they start talking over each other.

“Well I did.” James confirms.

“That’s what happens when you don’t ride the Hogwarts Express with us, Moony.” Sirius chastises. “You miss things.”

“It completely slipped my mind.” Peter says honestly, giving Remus his typical clueless smile.

“Prongs, you’re my best mate; but you’re driving me crazy with this.” Sirius admits.

“I can’t help it!” James groans, running a hand through his hair. “I just don’t understand. I-I love her... How could she be so cruel? It was like she didn’t even recognize me…”

Remus turns away at the confession while Peter and Sirius share a concerned look.

“Mm-mm.” Peter shrugs, frowning in discomfort when Sirius elbows him.

“Maybe she was messing with you?” Sirius offers.

“You think?” James asks softly.

“She had to be.” He insists. “You know, like…payback for all you put her through-“

“I didn’t know!” James defends before sighing. “You really think it’s a prank?”

“Come on, Prongs. This is Y/N. Your friend. Your best friend. She’d never purposely be cruel to you. I’ll bet that the next time she sees you, you guys laugh about this whole thing.”

“Yeah.” James nods hopefully, smiling at Sirius. “Yeah, you’re right!”

With that, the marauders finally make their way into the Great Hall. Remus does a quick scan of the room; and when he doesn’t see you, he takes a step back.

“Aren’t you coming, Moony?” Peter asks, having noticed his friend no longer beside him.

Remus does a pathetic attempt of digging through his bag before pointing over his shoulder.

“I actually forgot my…something.” He lies. “You go ahead. I’ll catch up.”

Peter nods his head before running off to join Sirius and James. Remus immediately turns around and starts heading back to the common room, turning his head this way and that every time he passes a corridor, desperately trying to find you. He has so many questions.

Why did you kiss him on the night of the Yule Ball? Why did you leave him without so much as a goodbye? Why didn’t he hear from you once during holiday? What’s going on with you and James?

Upon reaching the portrait hole, Remus considers waiting in the common room before changing his mind and choosing to wait outside, lest you think he’s trying to ambush you. Remus, lost in thought, doesn’t even realize you’ve arrived until you literally appear right in front of him.

“Morning!” You shout with a beaming smile, coming to a stop right in front of him.

Remus, who had previously been digging through his bag, if only to give himself something to do, looks up at the sound of your voice and immediately has the wind knocked out of him. This is the first time he’s seen you in weeks and you look amazing. Gone is the weak, frail girl he spent the previous term taking care of. The girl standing in front of him now is beautiful; with shiny, bouncy hair, full cheeks, and a radiant smile. There’s a warmth to you now, a twinkle in your eye, a skip in your step. You’ve changed- for the better, of course. It’s like you were…reborn during holiday. Remus doesn’t even realize how long he’d been staring until you anxiously tuck a lock of hair behind your ear.

“Are-are you not happy to see me?” You ask timidly.

“No…I mean yes!” Remus corrects, shaking his head at himself. “Of course I’m happy to see you! Are you kidding me? Come’ere”

Remus grasps your wrist and pulls you into his chest before wrapping his arms tightly around you. You let out a surprised squeal before hugging him back. Remus’ hold on you gets the tiniest bit tighter, and he presses a kiss to your head before pulling back. He cups your face and smiles fondly at you.

“How have you been? Are you doing okay?” He asks softly, eyes roaming over your features, as if it’s the first time he’s seen you. Perhaps it is.

You nod, bringing a hand up and placing it over his.

“You sure?” He presses, causing you to squeeze his hand affectionately and giggle.

“Moony, I’m fine.” You assure, smiling up at him. “Missed you.”

Remus huffs at that, though he can’t lie that his heart flipped at the confession.

“I missed you too, love.” He replies, “More than you know.” He adds softly. He doesn’t mean to, but it slips out. His eyes widen the tiniest bit, registering what he’s just said; but he changes the topic before you’re able to comment on the slip up. “Come on. Breakfast is waiting.”

You nod excitedly, turning around and falling into step beside Remus. He wants to ask you about the kiss. He wants to ask you about James, but now isn’t the right time; so he simply lets it be, content to be by your side once more. For the first time in weeks, he feels whole.

Reaching the great hall, Remus looks over at you and smiles softly. You’ve been going on and on about some action movie you went to see during the break. Apparently you loved it so much you went to the cinema a total of six times, dragging your poor parents along for most of them.

“Oh my god! And then he does this super cool move, where he does a sharp U-turn? But when he does the turn- for fucks sake.” You cut yourself off.

“What? What’s wrong?” Remus asks.

“Why is he here?” You ask with a frown, nodding your head at the table. Remus follows your gaze and looks back to you with a confused frown.

“Who? James?” He clarifies.

“Don’t tell me you’re friends with that creep.” You whisper as you both look at the table. Sirius and Peter wave at you, and you smile and wave in return. However, when James looks at you, you look away, frowning at Remus.

“It was a misunderstanding.” Remus tries to reason, even though he himself doesn’t know the full story.

“Misunderstanding or not, I don’t want to sit next to him.”

“What about Padfoot and Wormtail? Don’t you wanna sit with them?”

“Yeah.” You groan. “I guess I can be in his general vicinity for a few minutes. But sit next to me!”

Remus nods his head and you let out a grateful squeal, grabbing onto him as he leads you to the table. Remus looks at your hand placed on his arm, before looking at you with a bashful smile.

“There she is!” Sirius exclaims when you finally join your friends.

“Hello gentlemen.” You greet, sitting down with a smile.

“Hi Y/N.” James says softly, shifting nervously in his seat.

You look at James and nod your head with a forced smile before immediately looking away, finding your plate of food much more interesting than it actually is. James looks at Sirius with a frown and he shakes his head, silently telling James to let it go for now. Which he does! For a while. He’s able to make it fifteen whole minutes before he starts, effectively interrupting the conversation you and Peter were having.

“So where were you during holiday?” James asks, causing you to look up from your pancakes.

“Mm?” You hum while you finish the bite you just took.

“Holiday.” James repeats. “Where were you? I wrote to you every day…I thought you’d write back at least once but I never heard from you…”

“Why would I write back?” You ask with a confused laugh.

With that simple question the table goes quiet. All four boys share a concerned look before turning to you.

“Y/N.” Sirius laughs, because surely you must be joking. “That’s James.”

“Right… Well I’m gonna start heading to Charms. You coming?” You ask, standing from your seat and grabbing your backpack. James starts to gather his things before you stop him in his tracks with a single word.

“Moony?”

Remus chokes on his tea before quickly setting his cup down and looking at you.

“Are you coming or not?” You ask, staring down at him with a smile.

Remus shares a confused look with the boys before nodding his head at you.

“Yeah.” He agrees, grabbing his bag as well. “Yeah, let’s go.”

He shares one last confused look with Sirius, Peter, and James before following after you.

“Still think she’s just messing with me?” James asks Sirius, watching with sad eyes as you and Remus exit the great hall and turn left, disappearing from his line of sight.

“Nah.” Sirius shakes his head as they all start to gather their belongings. “You’re right, mate. There’s something going on.”

“Yeah, but what?” Peter asks, taking a large, final sip of his juice.

“I don’t know.” James shrugs helplessly as they start to make their way out of the great hall. “But I’m gonna find out.”

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵

You walk into charms and follow Remus to his seat. He sits down and starts rummaging through his bag while you squat, resting your head on his desk as he gets all his supplies out.

“Hey,” you whisper at him. “What’s your last class today?”

“Ancient runes. Why?”

You bite your lower lip before smiling mischievously at him and Remus is once again taken back to that night- that kiss.

“Do you wanna skip and go to Hogsmeade?” You ask.

“Sure.” Remus nods. The first day would most likely just be a review of what they went over before break, so it’s not like he’d be missing anything important. “I’ll tell the boys to meet us at the usual spot.”

“Actually, I was hoping it could be just us?” You clarify.

“Oh?” Remus says, brows furrowed.

“Just this once?” You plead with a pout before smiling at him. “I missed my Moony.”

Remus feels his heart stutter in his chest when you refer to him as yours. He can’t fight the goofy smile on his face as he nods.

“Okay. Sure.”

“Yeah?” You ask with hopeful eyes.

“Yeah.” He confirms.

“Okay, cool.” You smile at him. “It’s a date.”

Remus’ eyes widen at the word. You smile at Peter as he takes his seat next to Remus. You stand up, prepared to take your own seat only to groan when you see James sitting in the row in front of you.

“Oh, you gotta be kidding. Wormtail, switch seats with me.”

“No.” Peter refuses, sinking further into his seat.

“Come on.” You plead.

“Why?” Peter asks skeptically.

“Look who’s sitting in front of me!” You whine, jerking your head to the side. “I don’t wanna sit with him. He’s weird.”

“Good morning, class!” Professor Flitwick greets as he enters the room. “I trust you all had a good holiday. If you could all settle down so I can start taking attendance.”

“Y/N, please.” Remus begs. “Just for today. We’ll talk about this later.”

“Ugh, fine.” You concede with a roll of your eyes. “But if he tries to kiss me again, I’m drawing my wand.”

Remus nods his head.

“And getting a restraining order.” You add, causing Peter to snicker.

“Fair enough.” Remus agrees with a chuckle.

You begrudgingly walk to your desk, dropping your backpack on the table before falling into your seat. You start pulling your supplies out, only to groan when your parchment rolls off your desk. James, having heard it hit the ground, picks it up and hands it back to you.

“Thanks, Jeremy.” You nod at him.

“It’s James.” He corrects with a frown.

“Whatever.” You shrug.

Sighing, James turns around and faces the front once more. He doesn’t try to talk to you again, no matter how badly he wants to. It’s near the end of the lesson when James, and just about everyone else, gets the shock of a lifetime.

Professor Flitwick, having wrapped up the lesson a bit earlier than expected, decided to let everyone talk amongst themselves until class was over. You’re doodling on the margins of your notes when someone comes to a stop beside your desk. You look up and smile when you see Lori, a girl you had tutored the previous year, standing in front of you.

“Y/N!” She greets excitedly. “Look at you! You’re glowing!”

“I am?” You ask with a confused smile. Sure you feel different, but you didn’t think you looked any different.

“Yes!” She confirms with an enthusiastic nod of her head. “You look so happy and healthy and- and full of life!”

“That’s because I am!” You tell her with a smile of your own. “I’m all better now.”

You’re so absorbed with the person standing in front of you that you don’t even realize nearly everyone in the room has stopped talking, desperately trying to eavesdrop on your conversation.

“Really?” Lori gasps, eyes widening. “Does that mean the guy…he loves you back?”

“Oh, I don’t know.” You reply with a careless shrug of your shoulders. “But even if he did, it’s too late.”

That sentence causes the marauders to share a concerned look.

“I got the surgery done during holiday!” You exclaim, biting your lip in an attempt to hide your smile.

James’ heart drops at the announcement.

“You did?” Someone sitting behind you asks.

“Uh-huh.” You nod, turning around in your seat to face them. “I’ve got a big ol’ scar going down my chest to prove it. It’s very hot.” You joke, causing a few classmates to laugh.

Sitting in front of you, James finds it difficult to breathe.

“Were you scared?” Lori asks softly.

“Well sure,” you nod, giving her a kind smile. “But I didn’t wanna die. I mean…you saw me… I was getting worse and worse. At the end of the day, he just wasn’t worth it.”

“Prongs…are you alright?” Sirius asks softly, whispering so as to not draw attention to his friend.

“Fine.” James nods, smiling tensely at his friend, desperately trying to keep it together.

“Are you su-“

James stands abruptly from his seat, grabbing his backpack before rushing out of the room. Sirius stands, prepared to go after him, only to stop when Remus shakes his head.

“Give him some space.” He mouths from his seat a few rows away.

Sighing, Sirius nods, sitting back down and rubbing his temples.

“I thought seventh year was supposed to be easy.” He grumbles to himself. “This whole situation’s fucked.”

︵‿︵‿୨♡୧‿︵‿︵

After Defense Against the Dark Arts, the marauders all convened in their dormitory for an emergency meeting. Well, the marauders minus Remus, convened in their dormitory. But to be fair, they didn’t have time to track him down in a time like this! They trusted him to find his way eventually. And sure enough, he comes rushing in only a few minutes after them.

“What’s all this?” He asks, breathlessly, clearly not expecting to run into anyone. “What are you all doing here?”

“Waiting for you!” Peter exclaims. “Sit down, we were just about to get started.”

“With?” Remus presses, still completely lost as to what he’s just walked into.

“With our meeting!” James stresses. “To talk about Y/N. Figure out what’s going on and you know…set up a game plan of some sort.”

“Now?” Remus asks, glancing at his watch before heading to his trunk, trying to find something acceptable to wear. “I can’t. I’m sorry. I have plans.”

“You have plans?” James repeats incredulously.

“Cancel them.” Sirius says simply.

“I can’t.” Remus repeats.

“Why not?” He fires back.

“Because they’re with Y/N!” Remus admits, releasing a shaky breath before turning to face his friends.

“You have plans…with Y/N?” James asks softly.

“What plans?” Sirius interrogates, crossing his arms as he stares at Remus.

“She wants me to go to Hogsmeade with her…”

“Just you?” Sirius asks, to which Remus nods.

“Just me.”

“Why?” Peter finally asks.

“I-I don’t know.” Remus shrugs.

“This is great.” James says, getting everyone’s attention.

“It is?” Remus and Sirius ask at the same time.

“Yes!” James assures them. “Brilliant actually. Think about it, guys! Who was by her side the whole time she was sick?”

“Moony?” Peter guesses.

“Right.” James nods, “So who do you think she trusts the most right now? Who would she spill everything to? Who would she let pick her brain?”

“Moony!” Peter repeats, more confidently this time.

“Moony, you could be our man on the inside.” James tells him eagerly. “Go to Hogsmeade. Find out what happened. What really happened. Then come back and fill us in.”

“I don’t think this is such a good idea…” Remus trails off unsurely, toying with the jumper in his hands.

“Don’t think, just go!” James insists, pushing Remus out the door before throwing himself onto his bed.

He groans in discomfort when he feels something jabbing him in the neck. James pulls it out and sits up when he sees it’s a letter from his mum. He rips it open, wondering what’s so important that it had to be delivered straight to his dorm instead of the owlery.

“Hello love.” James reads out loud. “I found this tucked into the back gate while tending to the garden. I think it might be that letter you were waiting on this whole time. I’m sure by now you’ve probably already discussed whatever was written inside, but I figured I’d send it to you anyway! Love, mum.”

“What is it?” Peter asks curiously, sitting down on his bed as well.

“It’s a letter from Y/N…” James says, taking in the weathered envelope. He rips it open and pulls out the parchment inside, unfolding it gently before holding it up.

“Well?” Peter presses. “What’s it say?”

“I don’t know.” James sighs, shaking his head as he puts the letter down. “I can’t read it. I’m scared.”

Sighing, Sirius stands and holds his arm out. James gives him a grateful smile before handing him the letter. Sirius clears his throat before reading.

James,

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s you. It’s you I’m in love with. I’m sure that right about now you’re hating yourself for not realizing sooner, and blaming yourself for everything I went through… Don’t. It wasn’t your fault. I don’t blame you for any of it. And you shouldn’t either.

I knew what I was getting myself into when I fell in love with you, and I don’t regret it. I don’t regret any of it. It was worth it. You were worth it. And I would have happily died loving you…if only I loved you a little more.

The thing is, the thought of dying terrifies me, Jamie. The thought of leaving you behind, of never seeing you, or Peter or Sirius or Remus, it keeps me up at night. You guys are my best friends, the most important people in my life. I can’t leave you. Which is why I’ve decided to get the surgery.

“Fuck.” James sighs. “Y/N, why didn’t you wait for me?”

Sirius gives him a sympathetic smile before continuing to read the letter.

I’m afraid you’ll get the short end of the stick. I’ll come back in January and I won’t love you anymore. Hell, I won’t even remember you. But I’ll be alive. That’s enough for me. I hope it’s enough for you.

I’ll apologize now for whatever the new Y/N does. I imagine she won’t particularly be nice to you. She'll probably tell you off and roll her eyes whenever you look in her direction. She’ll make her disdain for you apparent. She might even raise her wand against you. Don’t take it personally. That’s only because she doesn’t remember you. She doesn’t remember loving you, or being loved by you. Go easy on her, yeah?

From where I’m standing you have two options. If you don’t love me back, then you have nothing to worry about. You can carry on loving Lily and you won’t have to think twice about me. I don’t remember you, remember? Don’t feel bad and please, in the name of Godric, don’t feel guilty. All I’ve ever wanted was for you to be happy; even if that wasn’t with me.

If, however, by some stroke of luck you do happen to return my feelings, I am so sorry. I’m sorry because what I’m about to ask you to do is going to be incredibly difficult… Jamie, you need to let me go.

“No.” James says immediately, angrily shaking his head. “Fuck that. I won’t do it.”

Sirius huffs in amusement. James and Peter look at him questioningly before he points to where he left off in the letter and continues.

I’ve known you my whole life, James. I know what you’re thinking. You’re probably reading this letter, shaking your head defiantly, saying you won’t do it. So that leaves you with one last option…

Somehow, you have to get me to fall in love with you again. And you’ll have to be quick about it; because if you do love me, when I come back in January you’ll be the one with unrequited love. And wherever unrequited love is, hanahaki is not far behind.

I don’t know how, but I’m sure you’ll be able to pull it off. After all, you already managed to make me fall in love with you once before- and you weren’t even trying that time! This time around should be easier, right?

I know it doesn’t feel like it right now, but I’m still here. Don’t give up on me, Jamie. I’m still here…somewhere.

Sirius carefully folds the letter back up and hands it to James.

“So….” Peter trails off.

“What are you gonna do?” Sirius asks, leaning against the wall.

“Isn’t it obvious? I’m gonna get her back.” James says with a determined nod.
