In My Opinion, Annabeth Has More Knowledge Than Any Other Character, Which Makes Her A Genius But Not

Do you ever feel like Percy just can't Say No To Annabeth? Like has he ever realized that she isn't good for him? I mean I believe that Annabeth is definitely a Toxic partner and not a good Gf for percy and people say "Oh Percy would no what abuse is because he lived with Gabe" but that is what abuse looks like from an Adult. but Percy has never had a Gf so he would have nothing to compare Annabeth too, so he wouldn't know what a abusive/toxic relationship is, Cause an abusive relationship isn't all about how many bruises the victim has, it's about the control and Power the abuser has on the victim and tbh some of the parts in the book make it seem like Percy is in abusive and toxic relationship and the stuff Annabeth does or how she acts towards Percy and as a Character regardless just doesn't sit right with me and made me not like Percabeth at all

Personally, I believe Annabeth as a character devolves as the series progresses, and her worst character flaws are somehow never addressed. The worst is this sense of codependency she projects on Percy.

The Fandom, for some reason, has her put on a pedestal even though it's Percy who gets himself out of most trouble, who makes the most strategies, and takes the most efforts. Even Rick's demigod life updates say Percy scores higher in studies than Annabeth.

Yet for someone reason everyone degrades Percy while they worship Annabeth. Nothing ticks me off more. The only thing Annabeth has on Percy is her extensive knowledge and nothing else, yet every character behaves as if Percy would be nothing without Annabeth. Nothing nothing could be more wrong.

The Fandom is so eager to call out every character's flaws, yet Annabeth's are never addressed. The toxic and possessive way she acted throughout the Battle of Labyrinth towards Percy, treating him as if she owned him and her repulsive behavior towards Rachel, should have been Percy's greatest Red flag.

Not to mention Percy gets taken to Romans, his memories taken and altered by Hera left to fend off for himself and Annabeth shows no lick of understanding or supportiveness to Percy's troubles not just then but ever.

Not only that, she had the blatant audacity to criticize Percy for leaving her as if it were a choice on his part.

Annabeth literally spends the start of The Last Olympian in which Percy is dealing with the immense pressure of his looming death and the fate of the world being oh his shoulders and she is neither supportive nor understanding when he is reasonably panicking but also instead gets mad at him.

All in all, Annabeth spends the entirety of their relationship complaining, projecting unreal expectations on Percy, being controlling and toxically possessive.

I could rant all day about it, but essentially, Percy's first intimate connection with any woman other than his mother was with Annabeth.

Everyone knows Percy's deep deep seated self esteem issues, so in his mind Annabeth is too good for him, and he doesn't deserve her. Annabeth should be proving to Percy how awesome and great he is, how they both are equally deserving of each other instead of further worsening his self-esteem.

But Percy is so afraid of losing her that he goes by whatever she says. Rick himself literally writes how relaxed and better Percy feels with Rachel yet never mentions it ever again.

I agree that Annabeth was understandably terrified in Tartarus but by what right does she make Percy promise to not use a power he would obviously need for self defense, a power that just got them out alive from a Primordials clutches?

There's not one thing Annabeth has done that is truly selflessly for Percy. Yes she took a knife for him which is very good of her but honestly are you telling me anyone who has traveled with Percy for so long for whose sake Percy has frequently risked his own life wouldn't do the same?

Aside from that one action, Annabeth has never never done anything purely out of consideration of Percy's comfort , his trauma, and his insecurities.

She plays by fear as Percy says he has a healthy fear of her. There's no such thing as healthy fear. No healthy relationships should contain a hint of fear.

So yes Percy can't say no to her because he fears no one would love him if Annabeth doesn't, he never wants to lose her believing her to be the only person that would accept him despite all his flaws. And these delusions make him agree to everything Annabeth says. This is both wildly untrue and extremely toxic and unhealthy in a relationship.

Me casually thinking about how Thalia passed down the prophecy to Percy in a heartbeat, but Percy did everything in his power to stop it from being passed down to Nico, who had just lost his sister, his only friend, and had no one else but a(n) (abusive?) father for company cos no one wanted to be friends with him.

This should have been obvious enough, but apparently, the fandom is blind. It's literally scientific. Natural red hair and green eyes alone have Rachel winning the genetic lottery, not to mention Percy, who has seen many goddesses found her to be extremely beautiful. The only reason we have to even debate this is due to toxic Annabeth stans who seek to deny anything that puts Annabeth in a lesser light, which is basically in most things.

The only reason Percy claimed that Aphrodite looked like Annabeth was because he's never seen Rachel, who is actually the hottest woman in the Riordanverse series, other than Zia Rashid, and sometimes Alex Fierro.

She was gone. All traces of Hayley Marshall, his little wolf, were wiped out from New Orleans. He shook his head at the thought. She was no longer his anymore, then why did her absence gnaw at him, a strange emptiness nothing could fill. It was as if she was never there except for the scathing looks the wolves directed at him behind his back which he knew were well deserved on his part, the endless bickerings of his siblings which have worsened over time with none to mediate in between and a dull everpresent ache in his chest further served as a constant reminder which only intensified the more he though of her. You would think with her gone there wouldn’t be much to think about, but bloody hell, every little thing promoted him to think of her. She was nowhere and she was everywhere , it was maddening. Even his room smelt of her. No matter how much perfume of her own Camilie tried to smear against the sheets or fill up the room with her things. He was going to come clean at the end of the ball, but it all boiled over by then, and she chose to oust him and Camilie by funking that bastard Sergio. He had never seen so much red marring his vision. The fucker was a dead man for all his lifetimes had Hayley not gone as far as to kill Camilie to protect him and then she had left, without a word. Fled, away from him. His raw instinct exhorted him to chase her to ends of earth and darg her back but his family had vehemently opposed him and Elijah had talked him down emphasising on Hayley needing time and some space. His second instinct was to hunt down the bastard Sergio, chop him into pieces, and display his head as a decoration on the mantle piece, the only thing stopping him was that he didn't wish to hurt Hayley anymore than he already had though the fact that she felt something for that fucker or any other made him want to burn down the world. But if Hayley needed time, he would give it to her, for they both had eternity at their disposal. And he could always kill the bastards who had dared to look her way later. And anyways his vampires were tailing Hayley every now and then to ensure her safety. Whatever the current state between them, he would never leave his little wolf at the mercy of his enemies. While she was far from defenseless, he needed this peace of mind.

And his sources informed him she would be returning to New Orleans soon and Klaus had never heard sweeter words than these before. Now he would reclaim his little wolf, his Queen even if he had to grovel for all eternity.

What had confused Klaus, however, was the fact that Hayley only slept with the bastard Sergio to get back at him and Camilie. However, what the hell happened to the proposal of the pack elder? After Hayley left, he had barged into the Bayou and coerced her beta Zelina into answering. He had nearly killed the woman for assuming the role of alpha as anyone other than his little wolf as the alpha was a preposterous thought. Since Hayley herself had appointed the woman in her absence, he would let it slide this once. With further coercion she divulged the fact that Hayley had not said anything to the elder at the moment because most of the pack was present to hear his proposal however later on she had almost slaughtered the elder in person for even insinuating such a suggestion. She had spent days after trying to make more developments in the pack system and had written countless rules the next alpha should follow. She had even ensured necessary facilities and amenities that would help the back prosper even in her absence so she wouldn't have to give Klaus up. It had taken every single shred of control to not go looking for Hayley for all this time, but now that she was finally returning, he couldn’t bloody wait.

Camillie

Camilie had noticed how distracted he was and tried to glue his attention to her but Klaus ended the dinner quickly and left. She had slipped in a potion she had received as a favor from the witches to get Klaus to sleep with her but no matter what she did , he always looked set on Hayley alone. She knew she would have to atone for what she did to her friends for the rest of her life and she would.She wanted someone like Klaus for herself but it would never be and she had made peace with that.

Klaus

He couldn’t stand the room in Abattior given how much it suffocated him and with his wayward thoughts sleep seemed unlikely so he settled for staring at the countless paintings of his little wolf filling his art studio for it was the only way he could placate the need to not go find her.

Hayley

The air of New Orleans made her too nostalgic. She wasn’t sure how she managed to stay away for so long. She knew Klaus's vampires were tailing her, and while she loathed it initially, she couldn’t help but like the gesture of him watching over her. After her anger had calmed down the violent need to go see, Klaus overtook her. She missed him so much. Were she not busy with observing and visiting other wolf packs and exterminating any threats to the Crescents, she would have gone mad. Bekah had called her to tell her Nik messed up once cause he was too drunk and that the bitch Cami must have slipped him something and she should return, Hayley had told her that even before that Klaus had become retracted, closed off. He stopped his surprise visits to Bayou or stopped being home altogether. Their spontaneous conversations became few and far in between in the days that followed, and she loathed it so much. The fact that he slept with Cami was the last nail in the coffin. Sergio, being the loyal friend that he is, had stuck with her all this time. It was after all his idea to take a trip back cause he couldn’t bear to see her unravel like that. "You need closure,Hayley. " And here she was. "Don’t zone out now. There's a procession here to welcome you," whispered Sergio from behind her. She snapped her attention back to present, and indeed, most of her pack and the entirety of the Mikaelson family save for Klaus were here to greet her. The first family she ever truly had. Tears welled up, but she stifled them like she stifled the pang of pain at Klaus's absence. She vamped to them and hugged Bekah first, who almost crushed her into a hug, not intent on letting go. Di(Davina), Freya, and Keelin joined in immediately after. Separating from the ladies she offered Elijah, Kol , Marcel, and Vincent a huge grin, they all reciprocated before greeting Zelina and the rest of the pack. "You have to come to the Abattior, Hayley, no questions asked. We will kick Nik out for a few days if need be." She laughed at the suggestion. She chanced a glance at Sergio, who was obviously staying pit far enough to not interfere but near enough to hear everything. "Hotel," He mouthed. Hayley nodded, partly sorry that she was making Sergio stay in a hotel alone but it would be far more unfair to make him stay with her and God knows what Klaus would do to him this time if he even shows up , Cami's probably keeping him busy. She shook that thought away. She wouldn't let it dampen her mood. What Klaus had done was on his head alone. The rest of the Mikaelsons are still her family. Did Klaus just agree to leave the compound just so she could spend time with people who were his family first? Before she could speak, he vamped out. "Niklaus doesn't stay here much. He misses you far too much to be able to live here without you." Elijah offered. She wasn't sure what to say. "Cami's then?" "Of course not. The mansion just outside city bounds. Nik doesn't sleep with her, I told you it was a one-time thing, but she is still his therapist. I told you she slipped him something. " "Bekah, let's just eat." The spread was definitely Mikaelson style. There was everything in abundance, but she was sure she spotted all her favorites. "Nik directed the menu." This astonished her far more. The evening was perfect. She enjoyed it to her heart's content, and yet she missed Klaus madly. Damn it. Bekah had told her there was a surprise for her in her room. She was both anxious and excited, but she had not expected that. The few legal complications she had while expanding the Bayou had stopped her from implementing a few of her ideas. Her legs failed her as she dropped to her knees, sobbing uncontrollably." Klaus " was the only thing she could manage to say. So she sobbed his name because it's the only person she wants, needs, and loves so much.

"I made a grave mistake, little wolf, one that you can hold me accountable for all eternity. But it took me a thousand years to find you, so even if it takes me another thousand to earn your forgiveness, I will do whatever it takes." Her head snapped up at that gentle voice. "Klaus..." He was kneeling beside her in a flash. "Tears don't become you, little wolf. I am sorry for causing you such pain." "No Klaus, please don't go... We will find a way, and we will make it work." He kissed her forehead softly with such love, Hayley couldn't breathe. "Thank you, little wolf." "Zelina told me what happened Klaus, it's not going to be easy to move past this stuff, but I love you, Klaus, and we have an eternity together. "My thoughts exactly, little wolf."

It took a while, a lot less groveling and far more honest effort at openness and communication. But it worked, they were happy, just a little bit if Fairplay and yet it could have cost them all their happiness but fairness to each other brought them back. For two people who saved each other from their darkest times, there would be no such thing as an end. Together and in love, Always and Forever.

The dark side of falling in love.

You know, love is a tricky thing. It's like walking blindfolded through a maze, never quite sure if you'll stumble upon the exit or fall into a pit. You can pour your heart and soul into loving someone, give them everything you've got, but you can never be sure if they'll love you back the same way.

It's like, you're standing there, baring your soul, hoping they'll see the love in your eyes and feel it in every beat of your heart. But you can never really look into their heart, can you? You can never know for sure if they're feeling the same way, if they're holding onto you as tightly as you're holding onto them.

And that uncertainty, man, it's like a constant shadow looming over you. You question every smile, every touch, wondering if it's genuine or just a facade. You want to believe they love you as much as you love them, but deep down, there's always that nagging doubt.

So you learn to live with it, I guess. You learn to cherish the moments when they make you feel loved and pray that they're real. You learn to trust, even when every fiber of your being screams at you to run away.

Because at the end of the day, love is a leap of faith. It's about taking a chance, knowing full well that you might crash and burn, but hoping against hope that you'll soar instead. And maybe, just maybe, that's what makes it worth it in the end.

The biggest concern of all Perachel shippers and the most used argument used by anti Perachel shippers is that Rachel is an oracle and she took a vow of celibacy so no dating. That's not exactly how it works.

The reason they are made to make such a vow is to put serving their God Apollo first and foremost.

May Castellan had already had a child when she went to bond with the Oracle, and her not being celibate has nothing to do with that as we know .

Now, even in Ancient Greece, older women have been vessels for Oracles. They just had to put their family aside.

So, in conclusion, the vow of celibacy isn't an obligate condition.

Now for a bit of an history lesson The Oracle of Delphi is extremely unique as she has existed long before the Gods did as a spirit in Lake of Delphi and was often initially referred to as the Oracle of Gaia.

The titaness Phoebe used the powers given by the lake to divine futures. That was how Rhea knew where to hide and how to trick Kronos as she had gone to Phoebe for advice.

Now, for an even more interesting piece of fact after the Gods took control, the Lake of Delphi remained for millenias under the jurisdiction of Poseidon himself.

Priestesses used to come there to seek the power to be able to divine the futures. Only when it was attacked by Python himself and then saved by Apollo who killed the Python did the Spirit of Delphi choose to host itself in Apollos Priestesses thus abandoning the Lake.

The spirit of Delphi has no clear allegiances being able to change who she serves, and we know the Oracle spirit has some fondness for Percy given his own exceptionally prophetic dreams which is a power akin to an Oracle.

This means Rachel can probably choose to serve another God, maybe Poseidon himself, again, so he would revoke the no dating condition.

Or or this is my absolute favorite headcanon about Perachel, that given how many times Percy has managed to save her when Percy eventually ascends to Godhood Rachel and the Oracle spirit, swear fealty to him.

Take that Percabeth shippers. Your only viable argument against Perachel is no longer an argument.

Can you see Percy Jackson as an environmental lawyer that advocates for emvironmental regularions and protections?

Cuz y'know, he cares for the environment. especially the sea life, Grover, his bsf, is passionate about it and I hc that he wants to actually keep up that thing w Pan where he asked them to keep on remaking the wild

Also, smartass, cunning, slightly manipulative Percy, who knows how to twist words and manipulate the law to his advantage like??? I can just see it?

This is such a good take, and while I always love the manipulative and cunning side of Percy, I really think he would hate being a lawyer.

An environmental activist? Sure. But while Percy with his crazy improvisations would find all sorts of loopholes in the law and he would definitely love dishing it out to people and corporations who are actively ruining the environment, I don't think he will pursue the lawyer side of it.

Law is extensive. Percy would have to bury himself in studies to get there. And while we know from ReadRiordan that Percy has gotten better grades than Annabeth and the fact that Percy speaks four languages which means he would definitely get it done easily if he feels like it, I just don't think he would enjoy it.

The amount of legal material he would need to get through would be overwhelming for his ADHD and dyslexia, but he just might get it done if it's to piss off and prove someone who said he couldn't do it, wrong. [Athena or Annabeth maybe]

Also a courtroom is an example of a heavily controlled environment. Everything from posture to pitch of voice, specific set of words, and certain professional language is all mandatory. Percy, out of all others, is the one who detests being controlled or restrained the most.

Then, we have his prior experiences with the law. Police, lawyers, other authority figures. Between him being a wanted criminal in at least 5 states and the whole Sally's misery over compiling a divorce file against Gabe in TLT, Percy has a lot of trouble with authorities. So it's unlikely for him to pursue such a problematic field and one which he has had such negative experiences with.

Even if environmental law is slightly different, it is still a part of a larger bureaucratic and more corrupt system that is inherently rigged against certain people. Percy, I think, would be very disgusted with certain law practices carried out or how heavy the impact of monetary channels are.

Assuming, however, that despite all this, he does choose to become a lawyer, I think he would be extremely bored by the whole thing. The long, tiring court proceedings, the dull testimonies, constantly clashing with the opposition.

But it's an excellent what if since Percy has a varied set of professions to choose from. I think if you could expand a bit more on this for me? Because I get the general idea, but I don't think we are visualizing the same scenarios, so I might be missing something.
