Finger armour thingy I wanted to CAD and 3D print over the winter break that I never got around to.
Made the paper mockup one night at home and was super happy w it. Then did a stupid and kept it in my lanyard thing and then I lost 2 of the pieces π’. Took longer than it should've to lose them, considering their precarious position, but I was still devastated. Tried remaking it later on but it didn't work out π
I tried to CAD it once sem2 started up, but I realised I have no idea how to do so. I tried to do smth where I get the profiles down w extrude cuts, but I couldn't get any angle other than complete birds-eye/side-view from looking like ass. smh i'll try again some day

Some Alice in wonderland redesigns I was playing with during uni.
Want to go back to and properly draw each one

Gr11 assignment that was a bit of a disaster. Cutting the shapes out of the vinyl was ez, but I remember the printing itself was a disaster.
Kinda doesn't work but that's aight. Meant to be the printmaking where you scrape ink onto a shirt or smth and there's the fabric thingy in between.
I tried printing it on my sketchbook before but it didnt work cos the ink was made for fabric. Did it now w acrylic, but it bled a lot. Could do the strat where u paint in base colour first nd then the wanted colour, probably.

Little painting I made during a paint night with my family. Was me playing around with specialized colour palettes.

This was supposed to be a themed trilogy, but I, like always, did not really have a theme in mind. I was kind of going for 'where art and technology/science meet' but it was really shoehorned. This was going to be a beautiful piece symbolizing medicine w elements of the staff of asclepius w the snake and her arm.
Making this was really, really annoying. I hadn't done a multi canvas piece since the cardinal (which was five years prior) so the idea was I go all out for this one (bad idea, never got finished). I did really like the style and the overall composition of the piece, but there's a 0.00001% chance I ever go back to this because of how big of a task it'd be.
First of all, making the wooden frame just to hold the canvases in the right position was terrible. I made the spacing smaller because I didn't want to lose details, but because it was so thin it broke 24/7. Don't even talk to me about the nailing/gluing process.... horrible.
Painting it was also a feat, because it took up so much space and I had to dance around the pieces constantly.
I got it to a place where it was finished enough, and then I was done with it.
(also I changed the position of the legs in the painting to make it more anatomically correct, but it ruined the silhouette)
The canvases still exist in my house, but the frame is long gone.

Little watercolour portrait I did at my uni's art club watercolour workshop. Went w my roomie and just chilled.
Chose a warm colour palette just to make things easy, dk waht compelled me to do a portrait. I like how it ended up tho >:J
Also I brought my own watercolours and brushes because it just makes things easier, but I let others in our little circle use them and one of them was using them as you would acrylics I was mortified β οΈ

Initially wanted to do a full garden, but I was a bit tired of doing full backgrounds so i settled for a tomato plant
Pretty simple, I like the different textures I can get with this one brush. Sometimes reminds me of the technique used in chinese paintings to draw bamboo/trees

Redrew the hellboy drawing digitally. Got to clean it up (the white in the background of the og was quite smudged in places) and fix some anatomy issues.
Also, damn, the og drawing is just... a bad drawing lmao π I can't get over how wonky his face is how did I not notice that back then??? π
Shoutout to my friend who was like 'why's he so skinny' when I was in the middle of the lineart - idky i always make hb so skinny. Bulked him up after thatπ
Planning on printing these to make posters and perhaps sell at my uni's artist alley
December 25, 2019 - December 28, 2019
I either wrote down the wrong artist acc for this one, or echollart deleted all of their old posts and underwent a major style change π

Grade 5 - 2015/2016
Wait this was supposed to be the first post??? I didn't get around to cleaning it up until ~3 weeks after I'd queued up all of the tumblr posts π
Ig I'll see how making the post date in the past works >:)
Anyways what I can remember of the prompt was that we were supposed to make masks that represent a specific emotion. We were in pairs and I did it with my friend.
Making it out of wood was not a requirement, but I'd gotten it in my head and I knew my dad wld be able to cut the wood for me πI made a paper mockup, and then my dad took care of cutting and gluing together the pieces. Two masks were made, one for my friend and one for me.
iirc, the emotion I was going for was happiness, but it really doesn't read that way. There used to be paper fluff stuff hanging from the back, but the birds ate that stuff up. They also bit a whole bunch of chunks into it π
I don't remember what happened for it to break that badly. Prolly fell
