Christmas as a cultural icon is starting to get really dystopian in a climate sense, december has historically been a time of year in which there would be snow in a significant portion of europe and north america, and the fact that its not even icy this time of year and all the christmas songs and decorations reference a time of year that will likely never exist in the same way again in my life time is so strange.

I am pretty sure that this is related in some way to ‘rejection sensitivity’ which is at least a bit common in people with ADHD.

Personal headcanons/design things:

The de-facto leader of the sides. Although Character!Thomas is mostly governed by his morality and creativity, Logan is the best at keeping the peace and good relations amongst all the sides. Even before Virgil joined he had amicable relations with the dark sides. Friendly? No. Practical? Yes.

You know what? Yeah. I’ll get a little silly with it. He helped Remus and Janus orchestrate the whole “send Virgil over to the Light Side” thing; He understands those sides of Thomas are sides that are repressed and Repression! Isn’t! Healthy!

Patton thinks that he’s the Get Along Guy but really it’s Logan. Patton has weird standards on who is and isn’t “acceptable” (which change drastically later). But initially Logan is the one holding this Whole thing together and he’s holding it all with twine and scotch tape. He’s endlessly tired.

He and Janus are playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. In that vein, he also views Janus as an intellectual contemporary (though he begrudgingly finds Patton helpful to discuss thought experiments with as well).

Has a mini fridge in his room filled with triple shots.

Has an info-binder on the other sides—their likes/dislikes etc…

He’s extremely observant.

2nd tallest of the sides, after Virgil.

His room has The Archives (copies of all school notes/info Thomas has ever learned)…Every few years or so he does File Closing (shredding) of any info that hasn’t been pulled on in that time. It’s like the burning of Alexandria to him.

He has a very meticulous file system (it’s analog).

Has a 1990’s style computer. It has one game and that game is chess.

I believe in side solidarity so he also enjoys hosting DND one offs with Roman sometimes (Something something combo of imagination and strategy).

One time Remus got ahold of Logan’s sacred Tumbler Cup and refilled it with something absolutely vile. He has not attempted to do so since.

Now I don’t think Logan knows exactly what the dark sides are per se (in terms of their additions aside from Janus—, or what causes them) but he has his suspicions (something something dehumanization).

Somehow has a connection to the Orange side???

 I planned on having a much more “formal” first post but I just need to share this hilarious moment I just had playing the Sims 3.

 I was playing Sims 3 with a fairy I tried to make to be a formal twink named Foreign Person. This is the second week, I decided to tinker with his laptop to build up the Handiness skill. Just as I told him to stop and upgrade the toilet, he gets shocked and starts a fire.

 With the combined efforts of the probably weirded out butler, that I hired on a whim for this tiny apartment, and Foreign, who just wanted to make a self-cleaning toilet, we put it out. One of the firefighters the butler called arrived and I thought this would be over, ending with me being fined or something.

...

But the Sims 3 had other plans for me. Another fire started.

“weird but this happens right?” I thought.

It is put out. But it comes back again. So I put it out again without the help of that honestly quite rude firefighter. The fire starts back again out of nowhere! Once again the firefighter does nothing but complain about my fire alarm, tell me to “be more careful next time”, and get excited about a fire being present.

This was already something weird and pretty funny, but little did I know, it was barely get started.

Somewhere during the period of 10th through 20th fires, the butler finally triggers the fairy trap that Foreign set up in the shower/bath at 3:00 AM the previous night for him. This probably made that poor man even more confused about this week of employment.

Over the next ~12 in game hours, there had been at LEAST 50-60 fires happening. 

Foreign still wants to upgrade the toilet, he had just managed to get 11% done as I kept deleting the fire with cheats so he could just work. 

The butler just wants to take a bubble bath and leave this fever dream of a job in the dust after his payday. 

The two werewolf firefighters are now practically Foreign’s new roommates.

I have been laughing and giggling to myself for at least 30 minutes. I have finally decided to just save and leave before the fire starts again and restart.

I just wanted to share this tale as I never want to forget this.

I will state that when I saw this gif, I immediately teared up as it made me feel seen in the good way.

I use a wheelchair when doing things like grocery shopping, going to school (When I did go), and just going to participate in fun activities that require a lot of walking in between places.

But I always struggled emotionally with using my wheelchair, especially in school, because I could walk easily, I can run, I can sprint really fast for short bursts, I can climb. I can do all the things everyone else can do but I can't do it freely.

If I wanted to be the kid I was when I was first diagnosed and run around having fun with the other kids I could beat in races only weeks ago, I had to stop and think about whether or not if I did, if I would be able to get up the next day. Because if I decided to play but was wrong about how much I would feel it the next day, I would often end up barely able to move around my house.

So I needed the wheelchair, but I wasn't too old and weak to stand up and be able to carry my weight, I wasn't paralyzed, I wasn't missing limbs, so because all the depictions I had seen in media at that point in my life often implied that those were the only reasons for people to have a wheelchair, I felt as if I was some form of faker.

But it is moments like these that are just so casual about it that make the difference in kids' minds when they are going through something or just happen to be different in some way. I know that if I saw this at age 12, I would probably cry from happiness at understanding that there are other people who are like me and that I am not alone with my only company being either faceless people who I am told are going through the same things by a third party that I may never meet or people who are going something similar enough that I can relate to but yet I can tell that I am somehow slightly different from them for something that I can't control.

Sorry for the word rant. This is just something that I wanted to share so that maybe someone out there that is going through tough times needed to see this and ends up seeing it from this post. I hope that I was able to explain this in a way that can be understood and isn't just a jumble of words that only make sense to me.

I'm not sure people realise just how important this second of television is.

After what rtd said about davros and rose in the unleashed episodes, this was 100 percent done on purpose.

When I go out in a wheelchair I am terrified to make it noticeable that I can use my legs. Because ... well we all know why and I'm not really articulate enough to go into everything.

But this. This right here. I doubt anyone who uses a wheelchair didn't have a doubletake. A glimmer. A KNOWING about just how important this tiny, insignificant action was.

And I'm fucking here for it
