I sent everyone in the third batch an email today that either confirmed your Holiday Card has shipped or included your eCard, so please double check your inbox and junk folders if you haven't seen it come through yet!

Please also wait patiently for your Physical Cards to be delivered; they can take up to 2 weeks to arrive, especially if you live outside the US.

The astute among you might have noticed that last week 48% was covered but this week it's only 44%, and might be wondering where the extra 4% went. Let me explain: When more people request a physical card, the total cost spent on cards goes up. If people don't donate to help match the number of requests, the percentage of cards covered goes down. This is why I always mention the need to donate in my posts!

I really hope that people continue to donate and help cover everyone's cards this year. After all, doing something nice for someone else is what PHSI is all about! i always thought that scene in the taz balance finale where merle reconnects with pan and casts zone of truth to burn away the hunger was kind of a tongue in cheek moment where clint casts his signature spell and griffin as the dm humors him by given it a huge affect. like fun but not too noteworthy. but i literally just realized what a phenomenal moment it really was. because the hunger is nihilism. it's hopelessness and pessimism. but the zone of truth dispels all lies and dishonesty. they cant exist under its spell. and that's what nihilism is. a lie. and so when merle cast zone of truth he burned away the lie of hopelessness and if you don't think that's the best thing ever i don't know what to tell you.

If LEGO made a TTRPG system, providing you an encyclopedia for every kind of piece/item/block they've ever done, including stat modifiers depending on quality. They'd ruin Hasbro without even trying, and might accidentally create a quasi-monopoly on player character figures, due to the ease of customization.

It could also work if that was the premise for another LEGO Movie: group of friends invite the younger brother of one of their players to fill in for him/her, in a TTRPG campaign where they use LEGOs. Our protagonist (both the real guy and his character) feels out of place, that he cannot fill in for his sibling, even though he really likes LEGOs. But through the power of imagination, he finally gets into the groove, providing everyone a wonderful time and successfully defeating the big bad that the GM created for the campaign.

The one page rpg I played was called “Wonder,” and it was about a band working to make one last one hit wonder. Our band was made up of me “Jerk Jacob” on Keys, Dylan “Dynamic Mess” on Bass, and Loklin “Hopilite Harry” on Lead Guitar. Our band was called “Robot War,” and we worked to make an 80′s ballad. We decided to divide the writing in half to speed it up, so we made a 12 line song instead of the 24 line one. Each musical instrument gets different restrictions on how they can add to the song, which introduced specific challenges. Also, whenever you disagree with someone’s lyrics, you mark down a tension, and when you hit three marks, you flip out literally and leave the band. My character would only approve a lyric if they could change at least one word, and once Jerk Jacob got fed up, Mellow Mary popped in and convinced the other two members that the song should end with accepting all people on earth as one person, unified in their love for each other. The song lyrics slowed down as we got near the end, but it was fun to do, and definitely wouldn’t be my first choice for a one page rpg.
