Cw- mentions of blood, nightmares [reader doesn't think rationally but it's a creepypasta x reader what do you expect]
Summary: EJ appears in your home.
Word count: 3035
“Yeah…”
His mind was going a hundred miles per hour. Every time you spoke in that same damn voice it made me feel crazy.
“Do you always, like er, wear that?” You chuckled light heartedly, commenting on his seemingly identical appearance.
Your words fell on deaf ears. They reached him even making the pointed ears twitch underneath his hood. Yet he didn't respond. His brain conflicted.
He missed you so much but it's not the same. He used to yearn for your voice, to hear it one last time. Now he wanted to rip off his ears to ignore the fact you're actually here and not just a figment of his imagination.
He wish this was just a fucked up joke his twisted mind was playing on him. He didn't want to accept the fact you're here. Because it's not the same. Nothing will be the same.
He's changed. He wants to hold you tell you everything to tell you how fucking sorry he was. How much he missed you, how much he thought of you. You were his only true friend, he never moved on.
Yet he wasn't human. You don't remember what happened that night. You don't remember him at all. So shouldn't he just forget you.
But how could you, how could he when you stood there in front of him, seeking him out. He felt trapped. He didn't like it. Emotions weren't something a monster was supposed to feel.
He was weak and sad.
“Oh sorry, that was offensive” You apologized, snapping him out of his thoughts. He smiled. Why was he smiling?
“No sorry I was just lost in thought, no harm done” He spoke, accent thick. What was he thinking? He could have walked away with you thinking you upset him or something perfect excuse to stay away from you. Yet it's never that simple is it. He wanted to talk to you. Despite every part of him screaming to leave you alone.
You let out a sigh of relief glad you hadn't pissed off this guy. You still were understandably werry of him. You looked up at him and gave him an awkward smile.
“[Name]” A voice called behind you. Hunter awkwardly looked down as he tugged at your sweater. He looked anxious and his black locs fell over his face.
Jack quickly recognized the boy. Hunter was your pride and joy when you were a teen. You took care of him and all his needs. You'd juggle your school along with him. Jack would admire the way you were so put together and responsible at such a young age.
“Oh yeah what's up?” You said turning to the raven hair ruffling his hair making him ease up a bit. Just like you used too. Jack couldn't take his eyes-or lack of, off you.
“Is he one of your friends?” He asked, chipped tooth showing. He looked up at the tall masked man. You patted his head and gave him a reassuring smile.
You looked at Jack then back at Hunter. You definitely wouldn't call this guy your friend. He was still a stranger. A stranger that you feel like you know. Maybe you were just losing it.
While he made you extremely uneasy, every time you spoke with him it felt…natural.
“No me and Mr mask aren't friends, we just keep bumping into each other” You said looking at Jack. The brunette froze. For some reason you looking at him like that made him feel something. It was almost nostalgic.
He realized you were waiting for him to say something. He quickly cleared his throat and nodded his head.
“Mhm…although Is Mr mask necessary” He spoke. Here he was talking to you like it was nothing. Like he was some regular guy. Like he wasn't a murderer, like he hadn't eaten people, like he wasn't part of the reason people were going missing; showing up dead.
He didn't need to be around you. He didn't deserve it. It wasn't right nor fair. You didn't need to deal with him. He caused so much trauma, and you didn't even know it was him. You still sat and smiled at him.
He was selfish. So fucking selfish. Was it so wrong to pretend? At least for a little while…
“Well unless you tell me your name that's what we're going with it” You snickered. Jack would roll his eyes if he had anything.
“Okay you can call me EJ” He stated, crossing his arms. He usually disliked when his roommates would call him EJ or any form of eyeless Jack. It reminded him how he wasn't human anymore. But he couldn't find himself telling you his name.
“Okay well EJ, I'm [name], nice to formally meet you, this is Hunter my younger brother” You smiled up at him. You didn't know why you trusted him so much.
It was like a guy feeling. To just let it happen. You were reckless. This was a stranger, you couldn't ignore the way the feeling of eyes watching you would always find you when he was around. Or deny the way your stomach would twist. How uncomfortable your body and mind seemed to be subconsciously.
“Well I have to finish up some things so, I'll probably see you around. Stay safe!”
“You…too”
—
You laid on the couch in your living room. You were exhausted but couldn't sleep. Hunter had already gone off to bed since he had school in the morning. So you were just left to your own thoughts.
The brown kitten you now called Leona snuggled up in your neck. You brushed against his fur as he purred soundly.
You stared up at the ceiling blankly. The sound of the TV you had on to try and entertain yourself was drowned out by your thoughts.
What was going on with you. Lately you've been having even weirder dreams. So much so you've been avoiding sleep like crazy. You know you needed it. You couldn't function without it.
Yet every time you slept you'd have a dream. A memory. The last one you remember so vividly.
You were in a room. It was dark but familiar. Looked like a dorm. Probably your's. You were in a panic. The way your heart pounded in your ears felt too real.
You remember having one goal. Finding a place to hide. From someone. Something. You could smell blood. It made your skin crawl. You looked for any sign of movement, holding your breath as to not be loud.
You remember hearing the sound of heavy footsteps. A figure stood over you. Looked almost human but it was too tall. It was blurry you couldn't remember what it looked like. You wanted to scream but nothing left your throat in shock.
“Please…”
And then you woke up. Your face scrunched up at the thought. It was just a nightmare yet it felt so real and so familiar. You were convinced it was a memory. Something to do with your past.
Or maybe you were just an insane person whose life has been so distorted you don't know what's reality and what's fiction anymore.
You needed to talk to your therapist. As soon as possible. This was getting out of control.
You signed and rested a hand over your face. You needed sleep. You had to work at the office. The thought made you groan , you could already feel the headache from your coworkers from here.
You needed a day off or something. Maybe you'd take Raven up on her next offer of going out. …Maybe.
You felt your eyes start to flutter shut as the exhaustion of the day caught up with you. Leona let out a yawn and as if on cue you did too.
“Good night little guy”
—
“You know you should be more careful Toby” The man said, weaving the stitch through the shorter brunette’s wound. Toby watched blankly as the demon carefully threaded the needle through his rough skin.
“I k-know “ He huffed, leaning back on the medical bed.
“Seriously this isn't going to heal if you keep popping the stitch” The masked man scolded.
“Ye-yes doc, since wh-hen did you care so m-much anyway, don't tell me you've gone soft on me” Toby teased. Jack paused for a second before continuing.
“You wish, I'm tired of doing it over and over, you need to learn to do it yourself, you guys love being so reckless but don't know how to patch yourselves up” The eyeless demons stated simply.
The brunette huffed and looked to the side. He felt like he needed to talk about something even if he knew Jack was more than content with staying quiet.
“You know y-you keep disa-apppearing lately” He spoke, his hands tapping on his leg.
Jack paused. He had been leaving a lot more lately. Since you came back into his life. He would always tell himself he was scooping out easier prey areas.
He knew that wasn't true. At one point of time it was until last month. He knew he left more often in hopes to see you. He hated that he yearned for your presence so much.
He was doing perfectly fine up until you came back into his life. Maybe it was because you were the only preserved thing from when he was human. So close but always out of reach. He knew the circumstances. He didn't need friends.
That's what he told himself.
“I suppose I have…”
—-
One the count of reckless things Jack has done in the last year this was the most. He narrowed his eyes watching as the police searched the ground from the balcony he was on.
His sharp teeth went into his cheek as he made sure to make himself as small as possible. He needed to find somewhere to hide for a bit.
Granted he could realistically take out them all. He just was not in the proper headspace. He groaned as he leaned against the glass of the sliding glass door.
He'd broken into places before to hunker down. And from the looks of it, whoever lived there wasn't home or was asleep.
He expected to have to break a lock but to his surprise the door was simply…open. Man who ever lived here was really forgetful or a dumbass.
He closed the door behind him as softly as possible. The brunette smelled another animal in the home. He looked around not seeing anything.
He sat on the floor and whipped the blood from off his mask with his sleeve. He ran his tongue across his teeth feeling the sharpness.
The metallic taste of blood still lingered in his mouth. He just ate yet he was still hungry. It was like no matter how much he ate the fire wouldn't die out.
The hooded man’s ears twitched as a meow filled the quiet room. A brown kitten sat in front of him. He blinked before quietly trying to shoo the cat away. This only piqued the kitten's interest more and he moved closer, climbing into Jack's lap.
The demon didn't know what to do and awkwardly picked up the feline and held him away from his body.
Jack placed him down but the kitten only came back playfully nibbling on his fingers. The small creature was undeniably cute but Jack wasn't here to play with a house cat.
The kitten meows again as if begging for attention. The demon sighed and petted the kitten causing him to purr. Friendly cat.
The masked man's ears perked up at the sound of keys jingling. He was quick to get up. Claws subconsciously gripping his scalp. The cat ran over to the door meowing loudly.
He backed up into the Shadows. He didn't want to kill another tonight but sometimes that's just how it goes. Ready to pounce, the door opened.
“Leona!” A familiar voice rang out. His sockets wided. Every part of his body stood still as you stepped more into the apartment too focused on the brown cat for you to notice him.
He couldn't hurt you. Not like he'd ever think of it. He unfortunately had no backbone when it came to you. After all these years that hadn't changed.
“EJ?!?” You yelled almost in a whisper. Your eyebrows furrowed as you picked up Leona in your arms. You swallowed thickly. What the fuck was going on.
EJ was usually creepy but him in your home especially in the dark was just so unsettling. You reasonably were scared and wanted to yell but you also didn't want to wake your brother.
You took in his figure everything about his usual state was ten times creeper. It's like he was taller, more animal-like. Your eyes widened when you noticed the dried blood on his mask.
“Wh-what are you doing here! Did you follow me? how did you get in ?” you stammered words not coming out how you'd like.
Jack tried to make himself smaller as much as he could. “[Name ] let me explain I'm not here to hurt you” he tried to reassure you, trying to seem as non threatening as possible which was basically impossible.
You were scared and tired. You set Leona down and he stayed between your legs looking between you and Jack. You slid onto the floor and curled up.
“Where you stalking me” you voiced trying to stay calm. Why were you just talking? Why weren't you screaming for help or calling the cops?
“No…I was looking for a place to…lay low it just so happened to be your place since your balcony was unlocked I swear I didn't come intentionally!” He spoke. He was being honest but he didn't know if you'd believe him.
If that would even help his case since he basically just admitted to needing to hide from the cops. Maybe it was best for you to know him for who he was. A monster.
“So you just go breaking into people's homes, not cool man “ you chuckled. You'd always resort to humor in these situations.
“I mean what did you want me to do?” He playfully added. Talking as if this whole situation wasn't insane.
You snorted and shook your head. “Not get blood all over my carpet and cat” you said looking down at Leona whose fur was slightly covered in crimson.
“Sorry about that…” He muttered. This was weird. Why were you too just…talking? He's clearly dangerous so you seriously have no fear in your body. No, not that you were definitely scared.
You were just…stupid.
“I suppose you both need to be cleaned up.” You spoke shakily picking up Leona again along with the bag you came in with.
You slowly walked into your apartment more. Jack didn't know what to do so he just followed. Him walking behind you was so…uncomfortable. Yet you just continued.
You made it to the bathroom. Before placing Leona in the sink. He meowed trying to cling onto you but you unlatched his claws from your shirt.
You were already planning on giving him a bath. You even got him a collar on your way home. You were exhausted, everything was so much. Perhaps you were just too tired for your brain to really register the danger that looked behind you.
You told Jack he could wash his hands in the tub almost like a command. He nodded and turned to the low tub. The bathroom was a bit cramped with you both in it because of his large stature .
He made himself as small as he could. He looked more human now. So many thoughts filled his head but he just bit his lip.
“You know I should have known you were some serial killer, your odd appearance and the recent murders, should have been more suspicious huh” You said trying to find humor in the situation.
Your stomach turned as the blood washed from his chestnut colored fur. His green eyes looking up at you, big and wide. You smiled a little, scratching under his chin.
“Yea and yet you're not calling the cops” The masked man said, making sure to get up under his clawed hands. He watched as the blood followed in the water down the drain.
“I should…”
“But I won't “ You said, grabbing a towel to rub Leona dry. You really should. That would be the logical sensible thing an adult should do. This could put your brother at risk but when look turned to look at Jack still hunched over the tub you just…couldn't.
“EJ”
“[Name]”
“You have a lot of explaining to do” you spoke, picking up the now shivering kitten completely wrapping him up in the towel.
You seriously needed a break, you were just so tired. You sluggishly flopped on the couch. You put the green collar around his neck.
“There you go Leo! Matches your eyes” you baby talked him. He meowed ears twitching. His head rested on your leg. You sighed.
“His name is Leo?” The masked man said, his British accent unusually prominent as he spoke.
“Leona,” You corrected before sitting up.
Jack stared at you. This felt so familiar just sitting talking. Just like when you were two stupid teens. He sort of envied the way you managed to stay practically the same. He was more than different looking from when he was a teen.
He watched your lazy eyes as you yawned. Your work clothes a mess and your name tag hung from your neck by your lanyard.Dark circles are very clear on your face. He could tell you weren't sleeping often.
“So why were you hiding from the cops “
“Hungry”
He was being honest. No point lying to you. Hiding himself from you.
You quickly put two and two together. You face subconsciously cringed. Your skin crawled as you realized he was behind the killings involving missing organs.
“You're a …cannibal wow that was just not on my list of things to find out tonight…none of this was” You said petting the purring cat that was buried into your lap.
Jack huffed. “I wouldn't say that, I would be if I was human”
“What do you mean?”

Not my usual posts(trey x reader on the way dw chat I swear I'm working on my requests) but
Who up thinking about ex!LEOVIL
-Vil is so strict about his diet so of course he includes his veggies, Leona hates this because Vil will force him to eat at least some once a week
-Vil who would sneak kale or broccoli into Leona's protein shakes/smoothies whenever he makes them(Leona always notices)
-Leona would give all the toppings of his burger to Vil even if he knew he wouldn't eat it anyway.
-Leona who still sometimes checks his food for hidden vegetables even if him and Vil have been a thing of the past for awhile
-Vil who will sometimes on instinct ask Leona about his eating habits as if they were still dating.
he used to be so cute and chubby now hes just an evil twink
Why did you grow up to be the worst guy ever

CW- mentions of blood
Summary: Despite wanting to, the masked man can't forget about his past no matter how much he tries
Word count: 2682
Jack was always the one who wanted attention. Wanting to be known. At least growing up. He craved for people to notice him. Quite the opposite of how he is now. Loud and always monopolizing attention.
Almost as if he always needed to be the center of attention. Your typical snarky elementary school boy you see in a show. The kind who would make fun of the main character for praise. He was every teacher's "problem child", no doubt causing headaches whenever he'd cause a scene.
So it was a surprise when they put you at his table when you switched schools after being adopted. You due to the lack of social experience were quiet and easily intimidated by anyone who was remotely similar to Jack. You were always cautious around the brunette.
An even bigger surprise was how you two hit it off three months after school had started. It took a bit of warming up but soon you two became two peas in a pod. Wherever one went the other followed close.
Teachers could see the way Jack helped you come out of your shell. You went from only talking when doing group assignments and answering questions to talking about whatever in class to the point teachers had to shut you up.
You were the brains, he was the bronze. The wild child and the know it all. You two were inseparable, basically attached by the hip. You would rant about whatever you were fixated on for the month to the boy while he would scribble whatever he could think of on your palm with a sharpie or occasionally pen.
" [ name ] sweetie, maybe you should try hanging with the other kids?" Your old music teacher spoke softly. She had a good heart. She liked knowing you had at least one friend. She still would occasionally try and get you to be more open and make more friends but it would always be the same response.
"But I like just hanging with Jack" You said, slightly muffled as you drank from your juicebox. The curly haired teacher sighed, accepting the fact this is as far as she's gonna get with you. Watching as you kicked your feet in your seat before waving over to the brunette.
"I know"
When middle school had started not even that could come in between your bond. People expected the changes that came with puberty and such would change your relationship.
If anything it made you two closer especially with Jack's family issues around that time. He knew you were always there for him and he appreciated more than you even knew. You tso were stuck together like glue making sure you'd get all your classes together including your electives.
Same followed suit throughout highschool with a few changes like Jack becoming more self reserved. He still made a lot of friends but he didn't go out of his way to impress them. He mostly hung with you and studied.
He really was smart; he just often didn't apply himself until his sophomore year. You would joke about not knowing he had it in him to be smart. It was a bit of a surprise to you when he brought up his interest in biology and the human body. You made sure to show him your support none the less
—-
You kicked a pebble back and forth keeping it within your reach as you walked along the pavement. The bright sun bothered your eyes. You listened as the sound of movement next to you suddenly came to a stop. You halted your steps.
You turned back to see the tall scruffy brunette standing still. He seemed to be lost in thought. His hair brushed against his freckled face as the wind blew slightly.
"What's up?" You asked seemingly startling the boy like he had completely zoned out and your voice brought him back to reality.
"It's nothing..." He eventually responded, hand fiddling with the drawstring of his hoodie.
Your brows knitted as you poked the inside of your cheek with your tongue. You weren't just going to take that for an answer. You've never seen him so out of it. He was extremely focused. He seemed almost... troubled.
"Jack.."
" [Name] "
You folded your arms and cocked a brow. You stared at him waiting for him to just cave. Speak his mind. Instead he just stared down at you with those dark brown eyes just watching.
You could see the way he tried to make himself seem more like himself, giving you that stupid look he'd make after telling a shitty joke. You knew him long enough to know when something was wrong however.
"What's wrong, what's got your head up in the clouds?"
"That was corny" The brunette let out a chuckle showing off his dimples. You shot him a glare before unfolding your arms and letting one rest on your hip while the other rested idle next to you.
"ha ha you're sooo funny, Seriously though I'm concerned you've been so distant lately and I'm starting to get worried you brush it off everytime I bring it up" You spoke. Jack didn't make eye contact with you as you spoke but you could tell he was listening.
There was silence for a bit. You were going to drop the subject so as to not push him. If he didn't wanna talk you wouldn't make him.
"It's just...what if we aren't together during college you Know... You end up leaving and forgetting me"
"Care to elaborate?" you said tilting your head slightly. He just looked down at his feet and he let out an awkward chuckle before clearing his throat.
"It's stupid I know but If I don't get into the college we agreed on going to, we probably won't be able to see each other for months at a time... My Dad is thinking about moving out of state and if I don't get in I'm have to go with him"
"Well that's not a problem I know you'll get in"
"I'm smart just not enough...not like you "
"Jack please have faith in yourself, you're smart, hell you do all that coding shit I can't even comprehend , plus even if you didn't I'd never forget you, you know to many things "
He snorted at your response, smiling again this time genuinely. You smiled back at him reassuringly.
"I guess you're right, I was just.... worried, " Jack said, almost breathless, ruffling your hair.
----
A squeal rang through his ears He could barely put down his book before he felt himself being squeezed in a hug. Man you had a grip. Jack smiled and hugged you back before pulling away. You gave him a big toothy grin before twirling around with the acceptance letter.
"You seem more happy about this than me" The brunette said, putting his hands on his hips. Watching the way you basically bounced around with excitement.
"Maybe, but I told you you could do it! We can be together, like always , you're never getting rid of me."
----
At least that part was true.
He couldn't get rid of you no matter how much he tried to forget. He still thought of you. Years passed. He'd wonder if you thought about him too.
If you remembered the late nights at his place where your study sessions turned into playing video games and eating nothing but junk until your stomach felt sick.
The days where you'd bring over food for him randomly because god knows he can't cook and neither did his stepdad. The times were you'd braid his hair when it got to shoulder length before he cut it again.
Almost a decade since your last encounter. Since the incident. Since your blood stained his hands and his lips the taste metallic and muddy. He could still remember how his teeth sunk into your flesh.
The way your eyes sided in shock. Your tears filled your eyes. The way you begged to be spared, you didn't even know it was him. You'd kick and scream. It was ingrained into his mind.
9 years since he saw you, heard your voice. He hated how he'd long for the past. He wouldn't blame you for not wanting to remember. To never see or hear from him again.
Sometimes he wished the demon transformation took his emotions with his human self. They were too much to keep up with. He was a demon. A monster. Something he accepted a long time ago.
He was nothing more than a monster fueled by blood lust. Everytime He felt an emotion. He felt pathetic and helpless. Made him sick.
Until a month ago. He thought finally he was starting to forget. To finally start anew without the constant feeling of loss but here you were weaseling your way into his life again without even realizing it
. The demon simply thought he finally started going crazy when he saw you at that counter.Yet it was you definitely you.
You just so happened to live in the small town he and his "coworkers" had bunkered down in to let things die down a bit. They targeted mostly large areas and that eventually caused a pattern. In addition it was to help slow down killings. You can't kill a bunch if the population isn't that big.
It was so surprising running into you at a convenience store. Same everything, nothing changed. Same eyes that would give him dirty glares across the room in class. Same hair he had learned to style years back. Every last detail was the same. Including the same scar he had caused all those years ago on your arm.
It made him feel something he hadn't in years. Something he couldn't explain.
The brunette didn't miss the way your eyes seemed to be curious about him. Staring at him cautiously yet so intrigued.
Then it hit him. You don't remember him. You two are merely nothing but strangers now. You don't share the same past anymore, only he carried the memories with him. That thought made him feel...sick.
On one hand it was good for him and honestly for you too. Yet a part of him hated the fact you didn't remember. He felt trapped in a time that he could only remember.
He studied you as you finished ringing up the bandages he had grabbed real quick. A dog had bit him while he was trying to eat. He somehow didn't smell the scent of any kind of animal in the house before he broke in. The wound was bad, well for any human.
The demon was fine and the wound will heal quite quickly. He just needed something to cover it with and he didn't feel like going all the way back home just yet.
Being forced to play Mario party with BEN and Toby was less than ideal. They can get competitive and he did not have the energy for that.
You two said your goodbyes after he was done and he made sure to leave as soon as possible. He felt suffocated like he was in a small space with only just you. It was weird. Maybe you two weren't supposed to meet again and seeing you once would finally give him some peace of mind and he wouldn't have to worry about you anymore.
He was oh so wrong. He thought about you even more to the point it became distracting. He hated it. His head was full of questions he'd ask, what else he could have said to keep up a longer conversation.
He heavily disliked human feelings. It was annoying and he found it stupid how much he cared for someone who doesn't even know his name anymore while he can still list off your favorite shows from when you were little.
He ran into you again while he was looking for weak points with easier targets. He'd been eating more than usual, he noticed. He had a weird hunger that he couldn't just ignore, yeah he could go long without eating and quite frankly he didn't like the mess he'd make after plus he'd always have a lingering scent of blood after.
It was a weird and unsettling feeling of him simply needing to sink his teeth into something. He needed to get it under control.
You seemed to be coming back from somewhere. He spotted you before you even knew he was there. You were quite unaware of your surroundings. He could have prevented you bumping into him but how else would he have an excuse to talk to you.
He fought back a smile as you blurted out an awkward apology like you would whenever you were late for a class or weirdly apologizing to an inanimate object that you bumped into. At the end of the day it was still you. The same you.
That's the problem.
It was still you. He's changed dramatically and you were still, you. The same person he had been longing for, for years. Now you're here yet he feels even more lost. You don't know him like he knows you. You two have history only he can recall. Only he knows. You probably don't even remember what he used to look like when he was human.
Now he's unrecognizable. Gray almost blue skin. Animalistic features. And most notably eyeless.
"Do you... remember me?
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
He was making a fool of himself. He felt sick to his stomach. He really didn't like this. You were making him crazy, driving him fucking mad and you have no idea that you were. Not a single clue whatsoever
---
"Where were you?"
"Out"
The raven hair titled his head and scoffed.
"No shit Sherlock, that's not answering my question" Jeff spat leaning on the chipped counter.
"I went out for food" The brunette shrugged while digging through the fridge, setting on a jar full of raw animal parts. It would have to do for now.
"Not buying it you're not covered in blood like usual, plus you're digging through the fridge right now couldn't have been that successful of a hunt" The lanky male said.
Jack's eyebrows knitted and he took a deep breath. Sometimes Jeff was insufferable and it made him want to punch him in the face. He tolerated the guy though.
"I'm not going to be questioned by a guy who smells like he's going through puberty everyday all day okay " The demon responded before standing back up properly. The shorter male just let out a dramatic sigh rolling his eyes.
“Well Toby wanted you to help him with a stitch he pop”
“Again?”
---
"[Name] can we pretty please get one more bag" Hunter begged, holding a huge bag of candy. You ruffled his hair and shook your head.
"Didn't I just buy you a bag the other week? You couldn't have gone through it all already"
"I didn't just left it at Dad's place and I'm with you for an extra week remember"
"Hmm that's not my problem"
"Pleaseeee" The young boy begged. You chuckled and nodded your head defeated. You couldn't say no to him. You watched as your younger brother put the bag into your cart of groceries. You checked your list and realized you needed a case of water.
When you found your way to the drink aisle you spotted a familiar figure. How many times were you going to run into this creepy masked dude. You didn't even realize you made your way to him until you started speaking
"Oh it's you again"
Your words rang through his ears. He stared down at you. Oh you really were everywhere.
He was reckless. He knew going out in public especially how much he stood out was risky but usually he didn't care how noticeable he was.
No one who remembered him lived long enough anyway. Now he wishes he could just blend in and say he didn't know you and you were mistaken. He couldn't.
“Yeah…”
---
"I'm so sorry please forgive me”
Pairing: Jamil x Kalim
Cw- none- it's pretty short from what I usually post but I'm so proud of how the writing came out for this
Word count: 662
A/n: I'm working on two x reader requests atm but I have such a whitefang brainrot so I just had to write Abt them. (do Kalim and Jami have an actual ship name btw bc I haven't seen any so I've just been recurring to them as whitefangщ(゜ロ゜щ))
The sound of fireworks drowned out everything around them, bursts of color painting the dark night sky.The air was thick with the scent of smoke and the distant laughter of students celebrating, but for Kalim, all of that faded into the background. His gaze, unwavering, was fixed on Jamil.
For once, Jamil looked peaceful. The tension that usually sat on his shoulders seemed to have magically…vanished, if only for a moment. He wasn't wearing his usual guarded tired expression. He wasn't wearing that mask he put on for others. He was at peace
Kalim had always been, without a shadow of a doubt naive , but he wasn’t a fool. He knew the truth. He knew how Jamil truly deep down, even if it hurt to acknowledge it. It ached his heart so.
No matter how many years they had spent together, no matter how many times Kalim had called him his best friend, Jamil would always see the gap between them. That painful, undeniable gap between the two. Jamil was here to serve not to be his friend.
Yet Kalim treasured moments like this. Moments where the walls between them didn’t seem so high. Where, just for a little while, they could stand side by side as equals. He could pretend they were the same.
A cool and gentle breeze blew, the wind brushing against Kalim’s face causing him to close his ruby eyes, scrunching up his nose. When he opened them again, Jamil was already looking at him.
It wasn’t his usual exhausted stare. There was something softer. Something almost… sincere.
Jamil let out an intake of air he had been holding without even realizing. This was refreshing. After everything that had happened over the past year—the general chaos, the overblots, the endless stress, the burdens he carried.
This moment felt weightless. No responsibilities. No expectations he had to uphold. For once, Jamil wasn’t just Kalim’s shadow, his second in command. He wasn’t just a servant of the Asim family.
He was just… Jamil.
“Happy New Year, Kalim,” he murmured, his voice quiet yet steady, just loud enough to be heard over the distant crackling of fireworks. Jamil couldn't ignore the way Kalim's face lit up instantly, his smile causing his eyes to crinkle.
“Happy New Year, Jamil! Here’s to another year with my amazing vice housewarden!” he chirped, placing his hands behind his head.
Jamil let out a quiet exhale, forcing himself to turn back toward the sky before Kalim could see the way his ears were burning.
He could still feel Kalim’s gaze on him, so warm, so unrelenting. His fingers twitched at his side, and on instinct he reached up to pull his hood over his face—only to remember he wasn’t wearing it. Instead, his fingertips brushed against something else. A flower.
He had almost forgotten it was there, tucked neatly into his dark hair. A small, white flower that
Kalim had placed there earlier in the night, despite Jamil's protests. Laughing as he insisted it suited him. Jamil had scoffed at the time, but for some reason, he hadn’t taken it out.
Kalim’s smile somehow grew even wider at the sight. A blanket of comforting silence fell over the two. They were taken back when they heard a voice call out to them
“Jamil, Kalim! Get over here already!”
Yuu stood a few feet away, holding a very drowsy Grim in their arms. The little monster let out a tired mumble, nuzzling into Yuu’s jacket, barely able to keep his eyes open after stuffing himself with whatever food he could get his paws on.
Jamil nodded and, without thinking, reached for Kalim’s hand. Their fingers laced together naturally, and Kalim, of course, didn’t hesitate to squeeze back.
They made their way toward their friends. It felt right. For once they were just two normal teenagers.
Perhaps, one day, that distance between them wouldn’t feel so impossible to cross.
Kalim wasn’t stupid.
But he could dream.

haiii I love your writing and esp your self aware au!
Do you think you can do one for your au with Riddle and mc where mc basically fusses over him (trying to do all the chores before and after work so he doesn’t have to even though he has nothing better to do, double checking for his needs/wants a lot) all the time like they’re trying desperately to keep a house plant alive even though he’s more than fine?? (If that makes ANY sense 😭)
thanks a bunch, take your time!🖤

Self-aware!Riddle Rosehearts x GN!Reader
Cw- Reader honestly just overworking their self, fluff, oneshot
Word count: 1446
A/N: HII imma be so honest I hope I did this req right if not I beg your biggest pardon 🙂↔️(fancy voice), also while this is technically a yandere au this one is just Riddle getting reader prioritize their needs so, either way enjoy!
Riddle Rosehearts was always your favorite twisted wonderland character. Even so you never expected or could have prepared for him to not only gain Self-awareness but also become a real person.
Since he's started living with you, you felt the need to monitor him almost like a toddler. You're always cooking and cleaning for him , despite his constant protests. Yeah he can do everything himself he's fully capable but a part of you is so afraid that he'll break or something if you don't.
You would wake up early in the morning just to make sure everything was tidy and Riddle would have breakfast when he eventually woke from his slumber. You would always clean up after him even if he told you he was going to once he was finished.
You made sure he'd get sleep or drink enough water. Which would be fine if you yourself did the same. You're always so worried about if he's getting enough of something or if there was anything he wanted, yet when it came to you, you'd completely brush them off.
You stumbled through the door late at night. Riddle watched observantly from the couch, closing the book he was reading. His gray eyes followed you as you went to set the bags you held in your hands on the island surface.
“You're home rather late [Name] “ He spoke as he stood up, slowly making his way over to you. You just yawned and stretched out your stiff body. You could just feel his gaze on you.
“Yeah sorry they had me working late— yawn , you need anything? I could make you some dinner if you hadn't already or I could run you a bath” you responded trying to stay upbeat despite your clearly tired appearance.
Riddle shook his head. “No not at all you should sleep “ he spoke sternly, crossing his arms. You let out a tired giggle.
“Yeah yeah I will, after I finish cleaning up the kitchen — speaking of did you eat and drink today?”
The red head let out a sigh. You'd constantly worry about him, he was completely capable of taking care of himself, he wasn't a small child anymore and despite not being completely familiar with this world he wasn't stupid either.
“Yes, I did but from the looks of this you clearly haven't, ” You snickered a bit before shaking your head.
“Oh you worry too much, I've just had a busy night I'm fine” You replied, walking over to the other side of the island just to be stopped. You lazily tilted your head as Riddle held your wrist firmly.
“I already cleaned the kitchen while you were away” The house warden said, before gently guiding you away with a hand on your back.
“Great, I'll make us something to eat” you said, letting out a yawn. Riddle sighed before leaning you over to the couch.
“You shall do no such thing, now sit” He commanded, his voice stern. You blinked , but continued to sit anyway, not wanting to see what would happen if you didn't. The idea of him using his signature crosses your sleep deprived mind and it makes you shiver despite him ever using it on you since he got here.
“Riddle I'm fine I promise I just need to—”
“To what Collapse of exhaustion?” Riddle cut you off, his voice was pointed and full of authority. Much more serious than before “You're overworking yourself again, I'm more than capable of taking care of everything so just relax” he continued, expression softening at your tired state.
You groaned and laid back against the couch cushions. You felt a little guilty. He was the one teleported into a different world. You should be the one taking care of him and all his needs, not the other way around.
Riddle moved around the kitchen with ease. You watched as the red head got on his tippy toes to grab one of your mugs from the cabinets. You wanted to tell him you could do it for him but you just knew he'd protest. You slumped into the couch more.
He was quick to take the kettle off the stove once it started to hiss softly. He carefully poured the hot water into the cup. Riddle was observant and made sure to add just the right amount of sweetness. It had to be perfect. Once satisfied he set the tea down to go find the cookies he had made earlier.
He had a lot of time to spend when you were gone after all. He made his way way over to you, gray eyes watched as you perked up at the sight of the sweets.
“You didn't have to rea—”
“Don't start “ The house warden cut you off. He handed you the cup, carefully so you wouldn't burn your hands. He placed the cookies on the coffee table before sighing.
“You seriously work yourself to exhaustion and still proceeded to worry about me, it's foolish if you ask me” Riddle said, placing his hands on his hips. You looked down at the warm liquid in your mug thinking for the right words.
“It's just, I'm supposed to take care of you , I owe you that at least you know… “ you mumbled before taking a sip of the tea.
“You owe me nothing, I am not a child who needs to be protected, I am not fragile and neither are you however “ He pauses for a moment looking down at you. “You can become fragile if you do not upkeep yourself “
You opened your mouth to respond;to protest, but Riddle held up a hand to stop you.
“I am not ungrateful,” he spoke out, his voice softening yet still stern.“I appreciate everything you’ve done since I arrived here. You’ve given me a home, patience, and care that I could never have expected. But…” He hesitated, his gray eyes searching your face for a moment before he continued. “...You can’t give all of that to me at the expense of yourself.”
You blinked at him, a little stunned by the depth of his words. “Listen I’m not—”
“You are,” Riddle interrupted firmly, leaning slightly closer. “You work late, come home, and immediately worry about whether I’ve eaten or rested, yet you neglect your own needs. Do you think I don’t notice? I’ve seen you skipping meals, staying up far too late cleaning, and leaving your own tasks undone to take care of mine.”
You frowned, shifting uncomfortably under his gaze. If you could you'd sink into the couch cushions even more. “I know that, Riddle. I just… It feels like if I don’t do these things, I’m failing you somehow.”
His eyes widened for a second before shaking his head. “No, no how could you be failing me? If anything you're failing yourself”
You hesitated, your tongue poking at your cheek as you toyed with the mug in your hands. "I'm not failing myself," you tried weakly, though the exhaustion in your voice betrayed you. Riddle let out a long sigh, running a hand through his vibrant red hair.
“You are," he countered, his voice lowering. "And if you won't take the necessary steps to care for yourself, then I will ensure it happens."
Your breath caught in your throat "You don't have to do that, Riddle," you said, "You're supposed to be my guest, not my caretaker."
Riddle's lips twitched, his frown somehow deepened more for a split second. A look of…disappointment? "A guest? Is that how you still see me?"
You blinked at him, caught off guard by the question. "I mean… I guess. I don’t know how else to describe this situation. All I know is I don't want you to go back to being under that pressure like you did back at home”
His mind went blank for a second. He shook his head and cleared his throat. “[Name]” he started softly. You watched him as he looked away with red cheeks. After a moment he continued.
“Like I've stated before you've helped me in ways I couldn't imagine you don't need to push yourself just for my sake I can help I am a house warden after all, I care for you…a lot so do not tangle yourself in with my needs if you are not to take care of your own…please”
You wanted to protest but the words laid flat on your tongue. You could just nod in defeat as you rested your mug on the coffee table. Riddle smiled slightly before clearing his throat and putting back a stern face—blush still clear on his face.
“Good now I shall go run you a bath, then you shall get some much needed rest” The house warden said taking your now empty cup and plate into the kitchen.
When was the last time you felt cared for like this? All you knew was that it made your heart swell. Riddle Rosehearts was always your favorite..

"A Distant Memory I Used to Know"
Chapter -1 EyelessJack x GNreader
Chapter index
CW- None
Summary: Back in college an incident left you traumatized with memory loss and constant paranoia. 9 years later after you start to get a better life killings start to show up in your small town. You meet a strange familiar person and it makes you uneasy. Who... is he?
word count: 2142
You let out a groan as the alarm you had put on snooze for the third time rang through your ears. You shifted in bed staring, at the white popcorn ceiling before eventually sitting up. Your hands rummaged through the sheets to find the cause of the unrest. Once you found your phone you rubbed your eyes before making sure to hit 'stop'.
You rolled over covering your face with your hands letting out a sigh. After a bit of debate, you realize it was for the best that you get ready for the day. Reluctantly you dragged yourself out of bed before shuffling your way out of your room and into the bathroom down the hall.
You stood in front of the mirror just staring at yourself. Your eyes looked tired and you had clear eye bags. You should stop staying up for days at a time to finish work. You splashed your face with cold water in an attempt to wake yourself up. It worked but immediately you regretted it as you scrambled to find the towel hung up near the door.
After you dried off your face you filled the cup hidden inside your medicine cabinet with lukewarm tap water. You shook two of the small white tablets out of the orange bottle they were stored in and into your palm. You threw them in your mouth before quickly swallowing them with water. The bland and slightly metallic taste of the water coating your tongue.
You were starting to wonder if the pills your psychologist recommended were starting to not be as efficient. They were meant to suppress your already weak memory to prevent anxiety attacks and additional stress. You haven't experienced any episodes that derived from the traumatic events of the past in well over a year.
However, lately, you've been having weird and unexplainable dreams. Dreams that felt more like memories than anything. They're faint and you could barely wrap your head around what they meant yet they still worry you. You'd be sure to talk to your therapist about it next time you have an appointment.
You were 18 when whatever happened to you occurred, You don't, well you can't remember what happened. It was your sophomore year in college. Everything was a blur, your brain blocked almost everything out. There was a chunk of your memory that was entirely missing like it hadn’t even happened at all. Just…gone. One thing you did know it had to do with some kind of mass murder and a cult.
At least that's what was what the police were saying and what made it to the news. You used to get some faint memories and flashbacks but all that did would give you panic attacks. So you were given pills that helped you forget whatever happened to you completely. It was better that way. To forget your college days.
There's one thing you couldn't forget, a person. You don't know who though. It confuses you because you just remember a person. Not a single detail other than it was a person. A person in a black hoodie. You can't remember their face or personality just that you…wanted to be near them.
It was weird because you held such an odd sense of longing for them. Can you even miss someone you don't even remember? Can you want someone to be around you if you don't even know who they are?
Sometimes you'd sit in bed and wonder what they were like. Are they smart? Were they a close friend, how did you meet them? What was their personality like? Were they kind, or were they snarky, did they care about others, were they selfish? What were they like for them to stick around in your mind after all this time? Why can't your brain just let them go? Why can't you remember? Thoughts like that kept you up at night.
You shook your head at your spiraling thoughts before stretching your stiff body. You finished up the rest of your morning routine and then made your way into the kitchen. You sucked your teeth as you realized your apartment was deprived of any food.
Ever since your old roommate who was the cook of the house moved out it was hard for you to stay on top of eating or keeping the house restocked with food. You were so used to your old roommate being the one who went grocery shopping for the place. So keeping the house stocked up is something that you are still getting used to. You settled on using the last of the milk you had with some cereal.
You weren't a breakfast person if you were being completely honest but you were too tired to eat anything after you came home last night and showered. You pulled your phone out of your short pockets as you poured the sugary cereal into your bowl. You got a notification from your friend Raven. She was one of your very few friends. You weren't much of a social person after your whole incident.
Raven★: Hey, I have a big favor [ name ]
You: Yeah whats up?
Your thumbs mindlessly skimmed across your keyboard. You flicked through the spoons in your drawer looking for one of the smaller spoons. You were debating just to get rid of all the serving spoons at this point you never used them.
Raven★: Are you willing to cover a shift for me? I have something big i need to do but i understand of ur busy
You weren't busy. You'd assume by now Raven would know you enough to know you were never busy. At least not on days when you don’t have your younger brother Hunter. You were happy to cover a shift for her with no complaints. She was a good friend so there would be no reason for you to not help her out. She would also help out with Hunter, periodically whenever your shitty dad got tired of taking care of him and just dropped him on you.
You: Sure u can count on me rea-rea<3
Raven★: THANKS SO MUCH! I'LL BE SURE TO PAY U BACK I PROMISE
You wanted to tell her you didn't need anything in return but knowing her she'd still give you something in return. Arguing with her would be pointless. You let out a sigh and rolled your eyes. You quickly finished up your cereal before it became soggy and inedible. After you finished up you figured you could clean the place up for a bit before getting ready for work.
———
You worked at an office however when you needed some extra cash it came in handy to have a second job. You didn't have work at the office today. However you agreed to take Ravens shift at the convenience store. You were planning on working the night shift anyway so it wouldn't be too much. Usually, you worked at night so afternoon shifts were a bit busier than you were used to but you made it work.
You said fuck it and took the night shift as well because you had nothing better to do and the small extra pay can go into you getting a better car. You soon came to regret the decision as you had only gained a few hours of sleep the night prior. You groaned as you watched the clock and prayed to whatever higher being that time would speed up in your favor and you could go home already.
9:37 PM
You were paying so much attention to the clock that you hadn't even realized that another customer had come in until they were at the counter. You looked up to see a tall male. Your heart skipped a beat at his appearance. You blinked a bit trying to collect your feelings.
Something about him was familiar. Maybe because you were sleep-deprived and running off B12 but you could have sworn you knew him. He wore a black hoodie. A familiar black hoodie. Okay, maybe you were stretching it. Brown hair poked out from under it. What stood out to you was the blue mask covered in some weird black...paint. No can't be, it looked too much like… goop? It was weird on its own but it sent shivers down your spine as it felt all too... familiar.
"Excuse me, I just need this" A slightly deep British voice called out startling you from your thoughts. The man put a pack of those stretchy bandages on the counter. Right, he was probably just another really weird customer that you probably won't see ever again! You're overthinking and complicating things [Name]. You thought to yourself. You let out a forced cough before nodding.
"Yeah um so sorry about that-" You said awkwardly before taking the bandages and scanning the barcode on the plastic covering them. You told him the cost and he gave you the money from a pretty worn-out wallet. You wished the man a good night and he just gave you a nod in return. You slowly lowered your hand from your wave and sighed.
When your shift ended you were quick to pack up and head home. The convenience store was a walking distance from your apartment, however, you wished you took your car. It was night and you already had some weird feeling you were always being watched but with recent numbers of people going missing or showing up dead in your city lately made you on edge more than usual.
Police keep playing it as just one mass serial killer but you had a theory. It had to be more than one person. The killing styles keep changing there's not a pattern it seems unpredictable. One that stood out to you were the killings that resulted in missing organs it was much different than the other murders.
You let that thought die down because if you were to try and explain that to anyone they probably would think you were insane more than you already come off as. As you tiredly searched your pockets for your keys you heard a meow. You looked down at your feet to be met with a brown striped kitten.
It meowed and tumbed its tail up and down. From what you recall thats what cats do when they are curious. You smiled and crouched down to the little feline. You stuck out you finger for it to sniff. It did and moved closer to you. You internally cried when you realized you can't afford to take care of a cat right now.
It bumped its head up against your palm and purred. A cute cat after just a long night is just what you needed. You heard a shuffle come from somewhere and you tensed up. Before you started to freak out and let your sleep deprived brain draw up crazy concussions you tried to think logically. It was probably another cat,or the raccons were back. You thought . Unfortunately the cat scrambled off at the sudden sound leaving you alone. You let out a sigh before standing up.
You couldn't help but feel like you were being watched as you successfully this time got out the keys from your pocket. It wasn't uncommon for you to be paranoid. You were all kinds of fucked up. This time it felt different. Like way different. You couldn't pin what it was. You felt let a pair of eyes were staring into the back of your head. Drilling into your skull. Again that wasn't too uncommon. They felt... familiar. Man what is up with you today? You shook your head and took a deep breath. You just hoped you weren't going crazy or something. You stuck the keys into your door you turned them with a click.
You practically kicked the door fully open. You used your foot to shut the door and you made sure to lock both the top and bottom lock to give your paranoid brain some sense of security. You took off your shoes and tossed your stuff on your couch. You needed sleep lots of it
and preferably something to get your mind off that guy from the convenience store.
———
"Can you be any slower?"A high pitched voice sounded.
"Says you! I'm just trying not to fall okay!' another child's voice called back.
"whatever dork do you wanna see the the Pokemon cards my dad got me?" The brunette boy asked before jumping off the jungle gym.
"mmm only if you promise to trade with me"
"No! You probably have bad cards " The boy said crossing his arms.
"Nahuh!" The slightly younger child responded putting their hands on their hips
"Yahuh!"
"You suck Jack"
"You love me"
"I don't love boys and their greasy hair"
———
What a strange dream.
