I really do miss back when it was considered fucking weird to ask trans people(or anyone who is even a little gnc/has a label you don't understand/is giving you queer vibes)* what their assigned sex at birth is. Like we literally used to roast cis people for this shit, that's legit why the "what's in your pants" meme exists, but somehow we've reached a point where a very vocal portion of the online trans community genuinely thinks you owe people this information so they can make insane generalizations about you and your life and if you refuse that's cause for suspicion and I really shouldn't have to explain how fucked that is.
Interrogating people about what's in their pants is transphobe/terf/transmed shit. "If you have nothing to fear you have nothing to hide" is fed shit. Tbh "you owe me personal information about your body and medical history" is ableist and intersexist shit. Sex and/or gender tells you literally nothing concrete about a person and there is no world where you are owed this information. Can we cut this shit out and go back to judging people by their words and actions instead of what some random doctor decided their body looks like when they were a squishy baby, you know, like normal people? Please??
*It's also wildly intersexist but unfortunately I don't think we've ever reached a point of collectively accepting that it's horrid to ask intersex people unprompted questions about their bodies and medical histories. You are absolutely not owed any of that information for any reason, especially given that medical history typically goes hand in hand with profound trauma due to how normalized medical abuse against intersex people is, and everyone needs to get that through their heads yesterday. If they want to share they can and will, aside from that it's none-ya.
Funky weird sci-fi story idea that I'm now in the beginning process of writing but haven't gotten very far in: Post-apocalypse, former cyberpunk dystopia The wilderness is uninhabitable due to radiation storms or whatever climate disaster we've caused, refugees and survivors camp out in abandoned buildings and the remains of a civilization that has crumbled beneath it's own excess. A little ways outside of a ruined city there is a small homestead/solar farm. Living in that homestead is a woman who shortly before the disaster went through with a full-body cyborg/android conversion. Human mind, robot body. This homestead would be uninhabitable for anyone else (anyone made of flesh) because of the radiation storms/weather/environmental factors. At the edge of the ruined city there is a group of refugees which have created a small community in what once had been a mall. The mall is liveable because it is receiving power from the solar farm that the cyborg woman lives in and operates, and that community thrives because of what she is doing. However, because she is doing what she does she must stay at the solar farm and her connection to the community she makes possible is limited. Anyway, I thought it would be like a funky character drama thing exploring community and loneliness through the lense of a full-conversion cyborg
When the anti "LGBT propaganda" law passed in Russia, all of you were going insane and cared. Give Georgia the same energy. If you can have sympathy for our oppressors on the basis of them being queer, you should keep the same energy for us, if not more.
If this law passes, every Georgian queer person I know is so severely fucked, myself included. If you make jokes about "being illegal in several countries" you better fucking care about the countries you're apparently illegal in, or going to be illegal in.
Make sure to spread this around. This is important.
the paris catacombs are 1000x more fucked up than i imagined
May your pain medication always kick in right after you take them. May your compression garments always slip on your body with ease. May you always find your footing when you walk. May you wake up with energy and zest. May your sinuses always be clear
