⇝ standing, sitting, leaning, shifting weight, crossing arms/legs

⇝ body temperature, fidgeting, heart rate, character quirks

⇝ descriptions using the five senses, setting, character’s appearances

⇝ emotional reaction to what was said, reflection of past experiences, connections to other characters/settings/actions

I think Arcade is really stiff when you try to hug him until you've been traveling together long enough that he finally tells the whole truth about his father and the Enclave and then numbly lets you pull him into your arms and hold him, keeping him rooted to the here and now as he squeezes his eyes shut against the tide of memory.
