Announcing the first ever Draw Prongsfoot Badly Challenge!

🌟🐕🦌Calling all Prongsfoot enthusiasts and questioning shippers - with or without artistic talents!🦌🐕🌟

Get ready for April 2025 and the first (of hopefully many) annual Draw Prongsfoot Badly Challenge!

The concept has been shamelessly stolen (with permission from the lovely @julcheninred) from the Draw Drarry Badly Challenge - if you missed it, go check it out - you won't regret it!

"But I can't draw!" I hear you say... Awesome! Then this is just the fest for you!

"But I don't have time!" Great! Spend 30 seconds on the back of your exam paper, coffee-stained napkin, or meeting agenda. Bad art doesn't take time.

"But I have no ideas!" Draw a scene from your favourite fic or recreate a meme. Just make sure to do it Badly!

"Excuse me, I happen to already be a well-renowned Prongsfoot artist. Do you expect ME to draw Badly?" YES! Draw with your non-dominant hand, wear a blindfold or try your hand at clay sculpturing. I believe in you!!

The rules of the challenge are simple:

Anyone can join! Even if you've never held a pen or only have access to a stick and a puddle of mud

Any media is allowed! It doesn't have to be a drawing if you'd rather knit or stack cheerios into the shape of James's broomstick - as long as you made it and it's Bad!

Anything goes! Make your art silly, funny, wholesome, romantic, sappy, smutty or bloody - as long as it's Bad (and please apply appropriate trigger warnings)

Post your Bad Prongsfoot Art with the tag 'draw prongsfoot badly 2025' and @ this blog - then I'll be ready to smash the reblog button. No upper limit on how many submissions you can make!

Some things I’d loved to have seen more often in the marauders fandom characterizations:

Ravenclaw barty ( ALL owls, enough said)

Pandora NOT being crazy/ a sear (Luna 100% got that from xeno)

Regulus not necessarily agreeing with pureblood rhetoric but seeing that his family is safer with it and also more of his relationship w Voldemort ( he didn’t become the youngest deatheater on a whim )

Sirius being a black, he was a total troubled teen and honestly probably still didn’t feel much empathy for muggleborns. Also running away didn’t erase his entire life up until that point

James being a total dick. (Hate him)

Lily getting the love she deserves instead of her entire character being watered down to nothing without her husband (I’m looking at u jegulus vs jily bitches) Lily can be her own person even if James isn’t dating her!!!

Bellatrix black. Right hand WOMAN of lord Voldemort??? Pls I need her so bad

Snape being so similar to Tom riddle and Voldemort using that to his favor ( yet making a critical error in killing Lily)

Voldemort using his charm to seduce and win favor and then as his descent into madness thickens, he relies on his magic and their fear more and more for followers

I could go ON and ON about this but I don’t want this too long 🖤 pls discuss in the comments/or replies this is my favorite topic. (This is a safe space to talk abt ur niche headcanons for characterization within the fandom)

your conscious movements have already been planned by your brain milliseconds before you decided to make them :)

they had people make random arm movements and report when exactly they decided to make them, all while recording their brain activity

i think this says some really neat stuff about how we view consciousness. esp in joint with the fact that damaging certain areas of your brain can change your personality fundamentally

your james potter gets mad at sirius post prank my james potter kills severus in broad daylight to see sirius happy

the fact that lily and james BOTH chose sirius to be the godfather to their only son, knowing that they were in a war, hunted by voldemort, and would likely die.

like the bond is already there between all three of them. prongsfoot is basically half canon, jily is canon, and lilypad exchange letters + have a deep amount of trust for the other

jily and prongsfoot are the only agreed upon soulmates in the marauders canon (whether ypu believe it romantic or platonic)

it would be such a natural, believable evolutiom for jilypad to exist

but no, we ship jily with their best man/best friend/godfathers blood supremacist brother whom they never canonically interacted with

we ship the muggle born and blood traitor with the death eater

over the blood traitor black who they both loved

why ship jegulily when jilypad is right there

Lawyer Sirius eviscerating his opponents with bullet-proof arguments and biting wit while looking supremely bored.

I accept wolfstarbucks only in the form where prongsfoot are smitten with each other and they're official but Remus is just given scraps and is brought into the bedroom to spice it up for James and Sirius but they don't REALLY like him it's just fun and Remus knows and is completely okay with it because it's the only way he gets romantic attention from sirius
