act ii officially underway!

hellooooo im resuming my mondayish uploads for act ii of my fic, looking out for you. i'm really excited for all the relationship building and bonding (including a Bonding Moment) that takes place in this arc. one of my biggest gripes with the canon content was that we never saw the paladins just.... hanging out as friends and getting to know each other as people? so im attempting to write in my own little moments, mainly from keith and lance's respective POVs. (bonus: adam w content!!! i love u so dearly adam and everything you could have been to shiro and the rest of the paladins) pls enjoy <3

hi have you ever returned to your hometown and your childhood home and realized that everything around you is different and changing and the people around you are moving on and nothing will stay the same and you're having a hard time reconciling with the grief of change and growing up and navigating the landscape that is family dynamics and transitioning into being an adult?

lol jk but icymi, chapter 11 and 12 are going to be character-centric. chapter 11 is solely dedicated to lance and exploring his fear of being left behind/not good enough, his relationship with his dad, and his relationship with his siblings. chapter 12 will be focused on keith.

taking a bit of a step back from the group shenanigans at college for the next 2 chapters but i really enjoyed writing lance's section and getting to know him as a character, and i hope you all do as well :)

I just finished reading your fic. The combination of found family, developing relationship, established relationship, and just overall healing from trauma and growing together was just everything and so cathartic. And the fact that all of it happened as a direct result of not one but two (2) stupid ass rivalries, made it all the more enjoyable and entertaining. (The dynamics of all of the characters was my favorite part). Anyways, my question is will you be doing any other works in the future.

🥺 thank you so very much! im taking a break rn bc 187k words was a LOT but i do have plans for more works in the future! i've thought about expanding the universe a little bit more and writing a shiro/adam side story but im also hoping to experiment a little bit more with my style and voice. i have an idea for a fic marinating rn but i rlly want to try and push something out in a few months now that i've gotten back into the flow of writing again

hi hello promoting first 2 chapters of my fic here. we r back in 2023 with slow burn college au klance, found family. all that good shit.

vld had the potential for a lot of character development and enrichment of the different character interactions and it kinda fell flat in the later seasons. (do not even get me started on how disappointed i was with lance's character development or lackthereof, as well as allura's ending...) at this point, i'm not sure if i actually like the show or the fan interpretation of the show more.

anyway i decided to try my hand at reworking the character arcs and their dynamics this time around because there's so much potential for all the conversations and dynamics that i wanted more fleshed out in the show, like keith and pidge, lance and shiro, allura actually being friends with lance. (reminder this is a KLANCE fic so all other pairings are platonic)

i started writing a few drabbles earlier this summer and then the drabbles took on a life of their own and now i have a beta reader—they dont have tumblr but love u bro— and i've published to ao3.
