You know who is the most underrated Disney princess? Snow White.

When was the last time someone told you their favorite princess was Snow White?

She’s seen as a the poster child for a dIsNeY pRiNcEsS, that she only exists for a big, strong man to come save her, but it isn’t true! It’s time we sit down and see her through a more positive lens.

Snow White is brave. She was told to leave her entire life behind, to run away from the only place she’d called home, and she did. She was only fourteen, and she left - all alone - without any idea where she was going or where she would end up. Thanks to her bravery, she was able to find a home and new friends whom she loved.

Snow White is hardworking. She cooks and cleans - and while that could potentially be seen as sexist, these are things she likes to do. She chooses to clean the cottage. She chooses to make soup and bake pies. Keeping a home is something Snow White enjoys, and that’s okay too.

Snow White is kind. She treats everyone as a friend. She meets the prince and is instantly smitten. She had no idea her stepmother hated her. She’s kind to animals, and doesn’t treat them any lesser than her human friends. She meets the dwarfs and loves them immediately - even Grumpy. Snow White’s heart is full of love, and that’s something we can all admire.

Snow White is strong. She stands up for what she believes in, and isn’t afraid to stand her ground. Examples of this would be when the dwarfs lie about their washing, or when the birds attack the witch, and she tells them off for misbehaving… she does it in the most polite way possible, but she knows the difference between right and wrong, and sticks to it.

This is not an essay to say Snow White is perfect, because she is not. Her biggest fault would probably be the naivety, and that’s how she ultimately met her uncertain demise. She trusts easily, but that isn’t inherently a bad thing either. Even after being told her own stepmother wanted her dead, she never thought the old woman offering an innocent basket of apples could be dangerous. Snow White would never hurt another person, so why would someone hurt her?

All in all, Snow White deserves better. She should not be reduced to a damsel in distress. The Prince was only in the film for about 5 minutes total, while the rest of the movie was her story. Snow White’s tale that deserved to be told. The animals love her, the dwarfs love her, Walt Disney loved her… so why don’t we love her?

Appreciate Snow White.

but just imagine poe waking up in the middle of the night be he’s feeling super warm only to discover it’s because finn has snuck into his bed to spoon him and then rey snuck in to spoon finn and now poe is the tiniest spoon in all of spoon land and he has to stuff his fist in his mouth for a bit bc these nerds are the best most adorable thing that’s ever happened to him
