i like that the night keeps getting worse parents? dead deaths? witnessed carriage? ablaze desert? treacherous (not only because of the real danger but the fear of danger lurking) the trials? also bad and then he wrapped up the whole thing by going back to his parents failing citystate im glad he’s happy and self-confident and cocky now he’s highkey everything he wished he was as a child and then some i think often about (and this is mostly headcanon territory) how dante thought he might die young and pitied its very possible that he mightve never become sun lord and his parents would have buried him he wanted to be sooo useful as a kid! he wanted to help!! so dying like that would be like a worst fear but also a very possible future and one that mightve felt inevitable something something this is a partial reason why he treats kids like adults he’s not really treating them like adults (unless he truly considers them as such) (rip bella) he’s treating them like people
