the prophets are just waiting for you to forgive yourself
EXPLAIN THIS IMAGE? WHAT? WELL - I think baby harnesses are hilarious. AND ADORABLE? BUT MOSTLY HILARIOUS.
also as previously explained I like the idea of Odo being a super gung-ho dad. Odo brings this baby around EVERYWHERE. It makes everyone kind of uncomfortable. What do you want me to do, leave it playing around the bizarre vaguely sexual jungle gym that occupies most of my room??? HMPH
Quark is wondering if the baby harness is a harness or an extension of Odo’s terrifying goobody. Quark is wondering if the baby is A PLOY TO RUIN HIM FINANCIALLY.
and Morn’s there because I just realized I’ve never bothered drawing him before. WHICH IS CRIMINAL, BECAUSE MORN IS FUN TO DRAW
i love you and your ridiculous puffy musclesuit, Morn
I have thoughts about that one time Kira and Odo spent hours in a closet together
DS9 didn’t have to go this hard with a brilliant illustration of traumatic grief in the first episode
Kira Nerys you own me

y’all so i knew about garak and bashir like peripherally right? BUT NOBODY PREPARED ME FOR HOW OUTRAGEOUSLY QUEERCODED THEY BOTH ARE????
like?? garak literally just checked sisko out?? i know he’s supposed to be vaguely threatening in this scene! but! i completely understand why the actors literally performed fanfiction 20 years later. i would be sick of producers’ bs too if THIS WAS MY FUCKING CHARACTER.
also i saw a post that said siddig just “played along” like NO WHAT there were several scenes where bashir VERY OBVIOUSLY checked out men too. this feels like a very deliberate writing AND acting choice.
and, despite what y’all may believe about me (see: fandom participant), it actually takes quite a lot for me to truly believe that characters are queercoded, especially in more recent history. sure, i like a good romance-y fanfic as much as the next person (sometimes i just think characters would make an interesting couple without respect to canon, sue me!), but in terms of ACTUAL characters that i think were written with intentional subtext? there’s very few.
all of this is to say: holy shit. i knew they had some subtext, but i wasn’t prepared for it to be like THAT.
edit: this is S2E18 by the way!
total collapse of entire cardassian society -> collapse of strict social norms and regulations -> people no longer required to have That One Haircut -> post-canon garak should grow his hair out long and luscious. maybe put it in a nice braid. some white streaks in there catching the sunlight. are you picking up what i'm putting down
