Mama Lisa đ// What did she do?
Reader adopts a cat to help her boyfriend Captain America, Steve rogers deal with the trauma and nightmares
You were woken up to thrashing beside you in bed. Third night in a row. Sweat formed on Steveâs forehead with his face contorted in terror. You rolled over, placing a light hand on his shoulder, he instantly moved into you.
âHey hey, honey⌠itâs just a dream.â You patted his head softly as his eyes slowly blinked open.
He let out a large sigh, sitting up in bed and rubbing his face.Â
âSame one?â
âSame one.â He said in a defeated tone.
You rubbed his back soothingly before getting up to get a glass of water from the sink. Handing it to him in bed.
âThanks honey.â You sat next to him as he took a large gulp, turning back to cuddle into your comforting frame.Â
As he gently lulled off to sleep in your arms, large arms wrapped around you. You mind wandered to all the things you could do to help your poor guy.
3 WEEKS LATER
You placed the gold box in front of Steve on the couch. Holes punctured in the top and a shiny red bow in the middle.
âWhatâs this?â He looked up at you curiously.Â
âOpen it.â You smiled, taking a spot next to him.
Steve inched forward, slowly taking off the lid and peering inside the box.
âOh my goodness.â Steveâs eyes widen in joy at the little ball of fluff, sitting pretty.Â
The calico kitten let out a small meow, standing on its hind legs and pawing at the walls, desperate to be picked up.
Steve took the small kitten in his large hands, encompassing it carefully as he brought it to his chest. The kitten immediately rubbed his ear against Steveâs jaw, purring at the contact.
âY/N⌠you⌠you didnât⌠omg I love him.â
âHer. And youâre welcome. I looked it up and the purr of a cat can help relaxation and healing. So, I thought maybe a couple of kitten kisses will help you sleep through the night.â You beamed at him, your hand going to scratch the little oneâs head.
âHer. Sheâs the best gift Iâve ever gotten. I canât believe youâd do that for me.â Tears started to form in the captainâs eyes as his heart burst at the ball of fluff.Â
âThink of her as our first baby.â You winked.
âGotta name her⌠what do you think she looks like⌠Esmerelda, Fluffy, Ariel?â
âHow about Soxs.â You grabbed the kittensâ paw, admiring the pattern of fur that gave her four perfect little white blocks.
âSoxs. Perfect.â He turned to you, kissing you on the mouth softly.
The two became inseparable with Soxs taking up permanent position sleeping between your heads at night.
The nightmares stopped but Steve got even less sleep after being woken up at 4am to Soxs wanting breakfast.
She'd follow him everywhere, doing little walks between his legs.
The whole of Avengers loved her, with Stark acting like a villain whenever she'd sit in his lap.
Her favourite place to nap was the Avengers meeting table.
Steve would feed her little slices of ham at dinner, dangling it under the table for her to catch.
oh oh i got inspiration request from sr. (rdj dad, netflix documentary) so could you write about chris evans decided to do a Netflix documentary movie from how he became celeb to how he met his girlfriend, reader.
A/N: OK I HAVE BEEN THINKING OF THIS SCENARIO FOR SO LONG. I ADORE THE CONCEPT. Me being a very visual person, I was like... how do I execute this? It was gonna be gifs but then I thought no like let's get that audio visual thang going. So I present to you my shitty little video montage that I spent 2 hours on my laptop trying to figure out, scouring the internet for clips (they're not mine... clearly please dont sue). I kind of set it out as the single interviews, and then you guys getting asked questions by interviewers at home and then all those little scenes.
So when you watch my poorly done video, firstly, don't judge, secondly, imagine it as little home video clips of you. I HAD TO DO IT. MY BRAIN WOULDNT LET ME POST THIS UNLESS I DID IT.
Please enjoy xo.
1v1 Chris Interview
Interviewer: Whatâs one song that describes Y/N?
âKiller Queen. No question.â He smirked, resting his chin on his fingers.
< Video Montage of you starts with the music >
Sheâs just⌠yeah⌠you know you donât meet someone like that every day and the fact that I get to spend every day with her makes me the luckiest man alive.
<Scene changes to you getting comfy on your couch, pulling up a blanket and holding a cup of tea. The room is dark being light by the various warm lights in your living room. Youâre in your pyjamas.>
Interviewer: You guys ready?
Y/N: Oh, this is starting already! God, I havenât even done my makeup.
CE: You look fine. Itâs a documentary babe itâs supposed to be informal.
Chris pulled your feet up over his lap, settling in next to you.
Y/N: I still would have done my hair! Iâve never done an interview for anything besides a job, so this is a little different.
Interviewer: Just think of it as youâre in your living room chatting with friends.
Y/N: Alright shoot!
Interviewer: So, Y/N, I guess itâs funny because you donât have a profession in the industry you had no aspirations of being famous and youâve just been thrusted into this spotlight⌠whatâs that like?
Y/N: I mean⌠itâs definitely different. And Iâd be lying if I say I didnât you know think on it and itâs hard because you have to really question is this guy, Iâm seeing worth it? You know? That sacrifice of your privacy or your mundane life. Like yeah, the trips and the nice house and hotels and the events are all great and I canât complain but you know you give a part of yourself up. That part of you that can go to the grocery store in sweatpants, the one where your whole life doesnât come up when you google yourself. That was hard but you know I had to kind of follow my heart and I decided yeah you know; I really like this guy and why not? Sometimes you gotta take a risk and follow your heart and Iâm glad I did it but I donât think Iâd do this for anyone else.
CE: Would you say Iâm worth it now?
Chris smirked at you
Y/N: Iâd definitely say youâre worth it.â
Interviewer: And what would you say is the hardest part?
Y/N: Well, you know no one wants to be disliked and thatâs always hard to have that rejection but imagine that but from thousands of people who have never met you, donât know you from a bar of soap who then go online and tell you that. You know that they donât like you because youâre ugly and fat and youâre a gold digger. Let the record show, I have a really good job that I love so his money was not what did it for me. Especially, since Iâm the one who always buys the coffees.
CE: That part killed meâŚ. Thereâs this girl, you know, my girl that I love and sheâs the greatest thing thatâs ever happened to me and people are just going around online spewing all this hate about her, you kind of feel itâs your fault⌠ya know? She didnât choose this life, I did but by extension itâs her life now. I just donât think she deserves it. The gold digger comment on the other hand is hilarious, I think I owe her $1000 in coffees. She gets weird if I buy her a nice present on her birthday, sheâs definitely not after my money.
Y/N: I wouldnât necessarily say itâs your fault though like I knew what I was getting into, and I agreed to it getting into a relationship with you.
CE: Itâs still not fair though. I have this need to protect her, ya know, thatâs my job to make sure sheâs safe and I canât protect her from everything and thatâs hard.
Y/N: I know honey I know.
You patted his thigh hoping the ease the pain in his voice.
Y/N: Iâve kind of grown immune to it now, these people donât know me or my relationship so Iâm able to kind of shut that out. Itâs as simple as putting the phone down.
Interviewer: Whatâs the best part then?
Y/N: Not having to pay rent in Boston.
CE: Ya kidding!
Y/N: Itâs a really tough market!
Y/N: No in seriousness, I live a really privileged life with the man I love. I had a great life before, but I think being in love and having a person makes you feel complete.
Interviewer: So, weâll set the scene, an A-lister movie star comes up to you on a night out and starts talking to you⌠whatâs going through your head? How did you feel? Starstruck?
Y/N: He looks like every other white dude, so I didnât clock it immediately but when I did I thought I was being punkd or something.â
CE: Oh come on!
Y/N: No seriously and Iâve told you this I was super suspicious about it. Yeah sure, Iâve had guys come up to me in clubs but having someone who you know could have anyone they wanted, and you know Iâm not the beauty standard, I donât fit the mould of bombshell, Iâm curvy and loud and I laugh like a drunk witch I just didnât think that I was someone heâd be interested in.
CE: Speak for yourself I love your laugh.
Interviewer: So, Chris why did you go up to her?
CE: Well firstly, look at her. I mean I first saw her and I think that was kind of the first time in my life I ever got taken back by someone⌠Iâm a big believer in love at first and I think I had that moment of âwow there she is. Thatâs the girl Iâm gonna spend the rest of my life with.â and itâs not just her looks either she had this energy about her that was addictive and I wanted to be a part of. She was laughing and I could see the faces of the people around her they just seemed so entertained and engaged by whatever she was saying. Sheâs one of those people you kind of just gravitate to because she has that gift of lighting up a room. She reminds me of a quote I read once, sheâs like a sunrise, she doesnât care if you watch her rise or not she will continue to be beautiful even if no one bothers to look.
Y/N: He had this big grin talking to me the whole time and I thought oh maybe thatâs an actor thing where youâre not allowed to stop smiling.
Interviewer: But you thought you were getting punkdâŚ
Y/N: If not punkd, that he was kind of just looking for a one-night fling. Admittedly, I judged him. Definitely. I had read the tabloids, I didnât understand why someone like him was single, it was suspicious.
CE: Itâs because I hadnât met you yet.
Y/N: Well, we know that now but back then I think I put a wall up because I didnât want to get hurt. Getting your heartbroken by a celebrity isnât just as simple as you block their number, his face is everywhere, Iâd have to boycott certain movies. Iâd be embarrassed by the fact that I trusted some playboy movie star and thought that I was special enough he wanted to be with me.
CE: God you were soooo wrong sweetheart
Y/N: I can admit that now! But yeah, itâs definitely weird trying to navigate his intentions. But he made it pretty clear from the start.
CE: She said no like 50 times.
Interviewer: You said NO?
The interviewer put on a faux gasp.
Y/N: I had my walls up I just donât think I was willing to be fucked around by Captain America. But I think I realised he was being genuine when he was scheduled to leave to go to some other event and his people came over to kind of get him out and he looked them in the eye and said âno, Iâm in the middle of something important.â I was like oh god this man is DETERMINED.
CE: You were important, I refused to leave you alone until you at least agreed to one date.
Y/N: We would of been there all night if I was more stubborn.
CE: Thank god you caved to my good looks and charm.
Y/N: Yeah that and you also promised me a pasta dinner⌠thatâs my advice to all the girls watching never turn down a good meal especially if the guy is paying.
CE: I learnt early on good food is the way to your heart.
Y/N: And then every date after that heâd bring me chocolate like boxes of truffles or those big industrial packs of Reeceâs.
CE: She loves Reeceâs.
Interviewer: So how do you keep this spark alive? Seems like you two are really in love even after facing some challenges that normal couples wouldnât.
CE: Sex.
Y/N: Chris!
CE: What? I canât say that? Look Iâm a man, who is lucky he gets to go to bed most nights with a beautiful woman I think thatâs a really good part of our relationship that I canât see going away anytime soon.
Y/N: Intimacy is definitely there thatâs for sure but I think also even when you are away we are constantly communicating and planning to do things we enjoy together.
CE: Yeah, when I come home from filming or a press tour my first priority is making sure we have that time to reconnect whether itâs a week, a day or even just a few hours doing something with her and no one else makes me feel a little bit more human again.
Interviewer: Would you say your job makes you feel less human?
CE: In a way yeah, I mean, Iâm playing another character 24/7 and I love my job donât get me wrong but youâre on set for hours every day and then you get pushed into interviews and you have to be âonâ all the time you know smiling and answering the same questions for hours. I think thatâs why a lot of actors do seem unhappy and itâs because they donât get to come home to someone who wraps you in this hug of quotidian. Iâm Chris Evans most of the time but I come home and to her Iâm just âChrissy babyâ and she doesnât expect me to act a certain way, I can just be myself and pretend for a few hours that Iâm just this normal guy coming home to his wife after a day of work.
Y/N: Girlfriend. He means girlfriend. We arenât married.
CE: Not yet but itâs definitely on the cards. Sorry I slip up a bit, it feels like we are married but yeah no secret wedding or anything.
Interviewer: Have you guys talked about marriage and kids, we know Chris is set on a big Boston family..
CE: Oh, every day.
Y/N: Itâs definitely in the works, Chris and I have a similar background in the fact we are big family people so itâs a no brainer that in a couple of years youâll see me popping out babies.
CE: But for now, we are enjoying life just us and Dodger.
Y/N: Yeah, thereâs no rush. Itâll happen though.
Interviewer: How many kids is the perfect number?
Y/N: 3
CE: 4
Interviewer: 3 or 4 which is it?
CE: My number is actually coming down from 5 but obviously itâs her body so if after 3 she feels up for one more, I wonât say no but whatever makes her happy.
Y/N: I need to see how I feel but Iâm confident that Chris will be one of those hands-on dads, so I wonât be left alone with 4 kids under 4 running around.
CE: Oh, definitely not, stay at home daddy over here.
Interviewer: Seems you two have given lots of thought to it any baby names?
CE: The baby names are safely locked up in Y/N notes app but yeah, weâve sorted that out.
Y/N: Iâm not spoiling them.
You grin at the gorgeous man next to you.
< Chrisâs voice over as scenes of you two moving around airports, packing bags and messing around in green rooms plays >
Life is crazy for me right now; you know with ASP and all these upcoming movies and projects. I donât think thatâs something Iâd be able to do if I didnât have her. She is singlehandedly keeping my engine running. Because there are days when it gets too much, and you have so many different opinions coming your way as to what you should do and how you should act. And there she is, right next to me or a phone call away and I can just turn to her. I definitely value her opinion above anyone elseâs and thatâs because I think she only gives it when I ask or when she thinks I need to hear it. She knows me better than myself so if she says, âHey slow down.â I listen because she knows. I know its cheesy, but she is my rock, she is the calm I crave amongst chaos and a minute in her arms helps me get up to do another day.
She inspires me every day, the way she gets up and works tirelessly for others, pursues her passion and is unapologetically herself. They say youâre attract to people who have what you lack, and I think her confidence to say, âHey you may not like it but Iâm not going to conform to what you want me to be.â Is something I admire, and I think being around someone like that really gives me that bit of confidence to kind of shush the anxiety. Thereâs a certain intelligence that comes with knowing itâs not worth it to change yourself to appease others and thatâs why when I say she is the smartest person I know, I mean that.
Sheâs not just my best friend, sheâs, my soulmate.
Hey I miss you!!!! đđđđ
Awwww Iâm on here all the time! Come say hi!! I am writing away babies just on a work trip but that means plenty of hotel room fics coming your way as well as getting through my requests which Iâll probs post all at once⌠maybe Sunday đđĽ°đ¤

Chefs kiss đ
Wow i'm glad you do. For Nick Vaughan i want to ask for a fluff. (i never say no to smutt by the way :) ) Reader came from another country to new york. They met while reader is walking at the city at night. They start dating and fall so hard for each other. They decide to movie in in a small apartment which is a safe, sweet home to both. The first one that they haveâ¤
Also, a request that is deserving of multiple parts! đĽ°
A/N: Ooft... did this take a while! I am so sorry for the delay for my love @atoosa22 but i hope you enjoy the first part of what is sure to be a very fluffy (and soon to be smutty) series. âď¸đ
âYeah mom, of course, uh-huh... yeah Iâm heading home now⌠yes⌠itâs freezing here.â You pulled your keys out of the lock of your workplace, holding your phone between your shoulder and cheek as you listened to your mothers worries and concerns knowing she stood halfway across the world powerless while you were alone in the big city.
But there was no such thing as being alone in New York, all the sounds, the lights, the people. It never slept. But you certainly did.
3am and all you could think about is your nice, warm fluffy bed at home.
âYeah mom, ok well I gotta go⌠I love you have a good day!â
You hung up, slipping your phone into your pocket. Tightening your coat around you, noticing the misty cloud that appeared when you breathed out. Fiddling with your keys in your hand, manoeuvring the teeth of the metal between your knuckles (just in case).
It was a 20-minute walk back to your apartment. What could happen in the 20-minute direct route to your apartment? 20 blocks. 20 minutes. Head forward. Shoulders back. One foot in front of the other.
Stragglers lined the street; sleeping homeless people, drunk patrons who have called it a night and a few bold individuals walking their dog.
Youâre not alone. Never in New York.
You reached block 12 of your journey. With the building above it under construction a makeshift tunnel of plasterboard and wooden beams was your path. Poorly lit by a singular low functioning flood light above but with the rest of the street cut off, it was your only option.
The sound of your boots on the floor was drowned out by the sound of drunk male laughter. âNot every drunk man is a bad manâ you thought as you followed the sound hoping to make it to the other side unfazed.
The tunnel was narrow, and the group of men took up most of the path, leaning against the walls, huddled in a group. Taking in a shaky breath you approached them, eager to pass without being perceived.
âHey pretty girl where you going?â Mission failed as the man snarled at you. You bowed your head, suddenly becoming interested in the tips of your shoe that was until the presence of another matched you toe to toe.
He had blocked your path, forcing you to look up. âHey when a manâs talking to you, you respond.â His voice was louder this time, agitated. You had heard it many times before in men. Angry men. Men who always got their way by force.
You clenched your fist around your keys, feeling the keychain make indents on your skin. The man had an audience, and he wasnât going to relent.
âWhy donât you smile a littleâŚâ His hand edged towards your face but shot away suddenly at an echo from behind you.
âBaby hey why you walking so fast!â A man came up beside you, wrapping his hand tightly around your waist.
âExcuse me guys.â He gave a firm shoulder nudge towards the man in front of you, pushing him the side. Frozen in fear you let him lead you towards the exit.
You both walked in silence to the next block, far gone from the narrow tunnel.
âThank you.â You finally let out.
âOh, foreign that explains it.â He mutters. The fear in your body had now left, replaced with annoyance.
âWhatâs that supposed to me?â You pushed out of his grip around your waist. Now face to face with the man who technically saved your life.
He looked down on you, while a little wayward in appearance, he was tall and handsome a scruffy beard curving around a strong jaw. Even with layers he looked as though he packed a decent bit of muscle, enough to push your average creep down if needed.
âIt means anyone whose actually from New York knows that when you look like that you shouldnât be walking around it at 3am.â He spits, cocking his head to side in a condescending manner.
âFor your information, Iâve done that walk many times since I moved here and that has never happened. And since when is it a womanâs responsibility to reconfigure their whole lives so creepy assholes donât have a chance to take advantage of them?â
âThatâs not what I meant.â He pinched his eyebrow in frustration.
âWell thank you for very much again and I hope you enjoyed your knight in shining armour moment.â You continued to walk, leaving behind your handsome saviour.
âHey wait.â He jogged up behind you. You stopped in the middle of the sidewalk.
âGod you do walk fast donât ya?â His joke was met with your scowl.
âLet me at least walk you the rest of the way home?â
âOh so you can know my address and then break in and kill me?â You scoffed.
âI would of been happy with a cup of thank you coffee.â He rubbed his neck, smirking at you.
âI donât even know your name and you want to come back to my apartment?â You looked at him like he had two heads.
âWell, itâs Nick, and if thatâs not good enough its Nick Vaughan born 14th of June 1981. Professional failing trumpet player, full time adored son, part time knight in shining armour, and my social security number is 79-.â
You put your hand up to stop him âOk ok I get it youâre not a murderer.â
âHey you cut me off at the best part!â
âOh really?â
âIâm also the guy who makes sure a pretty girl who just had to deal with a drunken creep gets home safe.â
You pursed your lips inward to hide the smile threatening to come up as he called you pretty.
âFine.â You let out.
âWait a minuteâŚâ He stepped closer, holding out his pointer âWhat if youâreâŚâ His finger threatening to push past your coat and touch the exposed skin of your chest. âThe murderer.â
âY/N, foreigner, passport holder of [your country], professionally [dream job] but also full time, loving daughter and occasional victim of drunken creeps.â
He thought for a moment, looking up at the skyscraper above him âYeah that checks out.â
He held out his elbow, edging you to thread your hand in it. You looked at his arm in confusion.
âYouâre cold I promise itâll make you feel better.â
You were cold and his strong arm was inviting and with your limited experience of his arms around you, you knew that you liked it and it wouldnât hurt to be able to savour the feeling this time. You begrudgingly slid your hand through.
Nick: âIs it rude to ask why you are walking home this late?â
Y/N: âPushing it but if you must know I was closing at work.â
Nick: âAlone? They make you do it alone?â His voice laced with concern.
Y/N: âIâm not 15 so yes, they make me, an adult women close up shop at the end of the day.â
Nick: âRemind me not to start questioning the independence of a clearly very strong-minded woman.â
Y/N: âYou learn quick, too bad you seem to be 30 years too late.â
Nick: â3 sisters, so excuse the natural instincts.â
Y/N: âFair enough.â
Nick: âHow do you drink coffee from where youâre from?â
Y/N: âIn a mug.â
Nick: âFunny.â
Y/N: âI know. Now my turn.â
Nick: âShoot.â
Y/N: âWhy are you walking alone this late?â
Nick: âIâm a musician.â
Y/N: âYes, but not a vampire soâŚâ
Nick: âMost gigs are at night as well as drunk people are more likely to give up their cash.â
Y/N: âSo, youâre a hustler?â
Nick: âI prefer the term opportunist.â He smirked at you.
âThis is me.â You motioned towards the front step of your building.
âItâs pretty late-â
âI should let you go-â
You looked at each other, letting out soft laughter.
"Thanks for walking me home. I guess I owe you that cup of thank you coffee."
Nick grinned. "I'll hold you to that. How about tomorrow morning?"
"Sure, why not?" you replied, surprised by your own eagerness.
"But you're buying, you know struggling musician and all."
"Fine.â
"Goodnight, [Your country]."
âGoodnight, Nick.â
As he walked away, you couldn't help but feel a flutter in your stomach. Opening the door to your apartment, your back hitting the door as you slid to the ground, grinning like an idiot.
