Does anyone have any good online job recommendations for someone who is disabled and still in school?
Hear me out - books with blacklight ink.
It would be more efficient than glow in the dark ink because they would have to absorb light to begin with. And you could read at night in a car without blinding the driver.
You could get either a UV headlight or a UV book light.
I would spend way too much money on this
Theater kids love an angsty boi in a leather trench coat.
It's weird that doctors question me when I say that I have both a heat and cold intolerance.
Like you're the one who asked and I gave you a truthful answer.
YES I have both and YES it makes my life more difficult but I know my limits and how to use heating a cooling tools so that I feel good. I understand why you think it's weird and don't understand why it's possible, but that doesn't mean that you can say that it's not possible.
my personal favorite moments from the listening party/live stream

I LOVE THIS CAST SO MUCH
I have the muscle memory of this fucking song from Just Dance
I am seeing a lot of controversy that Ride the Cyclone is abilist. Don't get me wrong, it is to some extent. But I feel like the people saying that the show is abilist because they introduce a disabled character and almost immediately get rid of his disability have some of it wrong.
The main theme of the show is death (because they all died) and as a disabled person, seeing a disabled character be able to be free of the pain and that he could be 'normal' and do things he wouldn't have been able to do in life makes me feel good. I personally believe that in death, there should be no physical ailments from the living world.
I apologize if you disagree with me, but this is how I see it.
service dogs cost 10-30k. its genuinely disgusting to act like its ablest to “fake” having a service dog when 90% its a homeless person trying to exist in public/someone low income. fucking gross
I don't think Service Dogs have to be trained by a professional trainer who you have to pay thousands to. I am currently owner training my own dog. The only reason I said that 'just because someone is disabled doesn't mean they have the right to fake a service dog' is because my dog was almost attacked by an untrained dog a wheelchair user had in a store. Not only is it illegal to have an aggressive service dog where I live, but it's very dangerous.
I'm not sure if I understand that second part, but no matter what the income is, a dog can still be trained. I don't think it's exactly 'ableist', but just inconsiderate towards real handlers who have put in the hundreds of hours of training to have public access rights, no matter what their status is.
(a mediocre poem by someone who is not a writer)
I cannot leave my room due to pain
I have an invisible illness
I hide my hands out of embarrassment of a rash
I have an invisible illness
I am late due to hypersomnia
I have an invisible illness
I cannot raise up my head due to fatigue
I have an invisible illness
I take a multitude of meds
I have an invisible illness
I am absent due to doctors much more than others
I have an invisible illness
I cannot walk as fast as my peers
I have an invisible illness
I need to sit after 5 minutes of standing
I have an invisible illness
Simply standing makes me short of breath
I have an invisible illness
I use my mobility aids
Do you see me now?
