Alr I gave him a spiky hat and he looks more goofy than ever lmao
Doing redesign of the Troublemakers. I dunno how to do the hair for him tbh I just hope he still looks good in a mohawk
Something i've always thought as interesting is emphasising that Bot has mighty math powers. There's nothing inherently wrong with that statement...at least at first as its shown that his powers are him being able to count which the team does consider a math power.
The problem is simply just that in terms of in universe abilities the counting isn't really a unique power. (It might be since it was able to shrink Zilch but since the whole team was counting iirc i'm unsure if Bot had an impact)
But even if we ignore that his other "math powers" include:
-Likely hacking/connecting (in)to cameras
-Projecting mechanics of how things work on his screen
-Containing and storing items
-Dispensing tools to use
-Radar
-LAZER
Now I'm not roboticist buuuuut....none of this feels unique in the context of being a robot. Especially if you take "Mighty math powers" at face value and see how they are visualised.
Blue electricity - Super Shapes
White sparkles - Pattern Power
Yellow/Golden glow - Milli measure
Bot doesn't exactly have his own equivelent of these effects iirc. At best he has some lasers that visually are no different than say...the trouble ray. (Iirc Bot's laser is more bland at that)
But I have a headcanon, what if he's powered by math powers wherein the same type of power and energy that Milli and Geo harness is also what literally powers Bot like a battery. which not only gives him a greater understanding of mathematics (Basically makes him a higher end calculator compared to other robots), and can allow him to operate and calculate faster, but also allows him to track and sense Milli and Geo easier as they possess the exact same type of energy.
Like where most robots are powered by like two AAs or a car battery he's powered by literally math incarnate, though this means that he could just have mighty math powers we don't see but he doesn't use them to not strain himself and accidentally run out of juice.
This headcanon is probably batshit insane but I had it on my mind and I wanna let it out.
OMG I LOVE THIS IDEA!!! BOT BEING POWERED BY MATH ITSELF IS SO FUCKING GENIUS SKDJFJRJVJGKFK
If you use arab.org like I do please consider taking the extra 30-60 seconds to click on ALL of their causes. Palestine is important but so are the environment, refugees, children, women, and the impoverished across the middle east and it doesn't take away from Palestine to click for multiple causes. The arab world faces a lot of problems and they only get worsened by how western nations have oppressed and attacked them. Clicking is small but it generates something and overtime it does benefit the greater good. It takes all of us clicking as often as possible but we can do it! It's really easy and safe and they have proofs on their site on how they do make an impact and are donating your click money
Homestuck Bot
Don't mind the void :>
(or the quality ;-;)
I don't complain about ships that much, as I'm a multishipper and I tend to like a lot of ships and character combinations, but I'm so goddamn sick of finding Funny Math Show artists online, only to find that they ship some bullshit like Milli x Big Trouble or Geo x Shape Bandit. Like there's so many characters in the show who are OF AGE and yet mfs keep deciding that the canonical 5 & 6 year olds need to be kissing adults. Like please stop, it's not that hard to keep Milli and Geo away from adults romantically.
I have a Bot headcanon, it's my headcanon of why Bot has his own personality and sentience as opposed to other robots.
So, Bot originally was constructed with the primary directive to protect Geo and Milli at any cost and to take care of them.
When Bot started out he was more robotic and more or less took care of the kids only cause he was programmed to. And he did it in a lifeless and articial way, because he is a robot. But at times he would notice that the kids were unhappy due to no parental interation, so Bot would try to interact and even play with them so he could cheer them up. Since the kids like silly things, Bot would develop goofy mannerisms which bled into a goofy personality for himself to best entertain and cheer up Milli and Geo. He would then slowly develop his own sentient consiousness as it would help him feel more "real" and relate to the children he was caretaking thus allowing him to perform his job much more effectively. He only developed these traits to specifically take care of Milli and Geo and his personality was based on the needs of them. The reason he was even able to develop these traits is, not only is his AI advanced enough to alter and adapt his own programming but Milli and Geo lie on the top of his priorities, even above the three laws of robotics. This also Means that in a worst case scenario, Bot WILL commit murder to protect the kids.
A really long winded headcanon but I've had it on my mind forever and wanted to share it.
No no, I love this headcanon and I also 100% support Bot committing murder for Milli and Geo
Light it up, Blue! happy autism acceptance month, don’t support autism speaks!
