I genuinely have yet to see a literal ao3 comment where someone ACTUALLY questions why the author didn't specify the reader's gender god give me strength

Like I understand if that person is younger and doesn't realize that they should just make an oc or specify the reader more, but if ya'll are actively refusing to say anything then what in the fuck happened to "fanfiction is for everyone"? Like actually call them out if the author is doing this shit whether it's on purpose or on accident because this just can't keep going on and ik ya'll know that a lot of people are sick of it. I'm sorry if this is coming off strongly but I have been seeing absolutely fucking NOTHING but this same exact shit, every. single. YEAR. and it really pisses me off when ya'll don't say literally ANYTHING.

My name is Ahmed, and I want to share my painful story with you. My small family is struggling to survive amidst the ongoing conflict in Gaza. I lived a peaceful and stable life with my wife, Lubna, and our children, Mohammed, 6 years old, and Ameen, 3 years old. Our lives were full of hope until the day everything turned upside down.

One dark night, our home was completely destroyed by the violent shelling that swept through the northern part of the Strip. Losing our home was a huge shock, but it was only the beginning of a long journey of suffering. As the war intensified, we were forced to flee our home and move to the southern part of the Strip in search of safety. Leaving our home was not just a physical relocation; it was a painful goodbye to our cherished memories and dreams.

But the tragedy didn't end there. My car, which was my only source of income, was also destroyed. It wasn’t just a means of transportation—it was how I provided for my family. Without it, we have no income, and at a time when we desperately need every bit of help, we are left with nothing.

Now, my wife and I struggle every day to provide for our children under harsh living conditions. We have no permanent shelter and live in a state of uncertainty. In these difficult times, we rely on the kindness and generosity of others. Every donation, no matter how small, can make a tremendous difference in our lives. Your contributions will help provide temporary shelter, food, medicine, and other basic needs.

Hello Dear,

We, (Najwa, Jana, Farah, and Maryam), are the sisters of Shaheed Khalid Saed Ash-Shawwah, who was martyred on 07/31/24 along with Al Jazeera correspondent Ismail Al-Ghoul and his colleague, photographer Rami Al-Rifi . Khalid was our older and only brother and he was a great support for us and others. As you may heard Khalid’s story in the news, he was bombed while he was riding his bicycle coming back from delivering food to our old and injured neighbors.

Before the IDF forces killed our brother Khalid, they forced us to evacuate our house and left everything behind. They then destroyed our house and our father’s restaurant. We had to move at least 10 times since every new area we seek refuge to gets bombed.

Currently, the 4 of us and our parents, are living devastating and sad life in a bombed room in Gaza. It is extremely difficult for us to get the basic needs of food, water, and shelter.

We sincerely hope you can empathize with our dire situation and consider supporting us. We are raising funds in order to be able to pay the rising cost of basic necessities in north Gaza. Our family is large and the cost of survival in north Gaza is astronomical. If you have anything you can spare, we implore you to support us. Genocide flattens every discussion. There are no new conversations to be had about the destruction, death and cruelty. After more than a year, there is nothing left to be said about various media houses, corporations and international bodies of law aiding and abetting all that has been happening in Gaza, either. It is the banality of evil, it is colonialism. However even in this atrociously banal circumstance, I do think what still is a continued point of hope for Gazans and what still pushes so many of them to reach out to the world, is the support people around the globe have shown and still continue to show. Which is why I am here on behalf of the Shehab family ( @fahedshehab-new ) and requesting  you to help them survive through this winter. This won't take much of your time so please read: 

Fahed is currently supporting 13 family members in total- his own family and that of his sister’s.

He has to look after 8 children now, with the youngest being his son Yayha who is barely having anything to eat because the price of baby milk  is exorbitantly high in Gaza. 

The genocide has taken a toll on Fahed’s daughters. Sahar and Dana spent a whole year under the threat of bombs and right now instead of getting to be teenagers, they ask their father if they will survive. They have even said they don't want to live if they lose someone. 

The family right now immediately needs clothes to keep them warm throughout winter. Fahed’s family is from the north and has been displaced several times before they came south. Displacement is dangerous and a silent killer because often essential items are lost and cannot be replaced in time. 

Please consider that the weather has already turned colder around the world and that which is only mildly uncomfortable to us, presents a dire situation for Gazans. The families don't have a shelter and there is no way for tents to adequately protect from cold winds and rain. So right now the immediate need is for warm clothes and it can cost upto $400 per person. With THIRTEEN PEOPLE to take care of Fahed immediately needs to raise at least 5k to buy the required apparels. So please boost and donate.
