Even in the tiniest details could make a difference. 😌💚
the tiny specks of colour in their eyes
the bass and background sounds in a song
starlight on a cloudy night
how someone looks when they think nobody can see them
the mannerisms of a stranger
real meanings behind spoken words
subtle facial expressions which last a second
the underlying flavours in food
emotions that a friend is trying to hide
little lights in a sleeping city
flowers growing through cracks in the pavement
the mixed colour palette in a piece of art
the melody of someone’s voice

Galileo Galilei, my heroes. I'm gonna miss you guys ❤
Late-ish upload again, sorry! Happy Phycology Friday! This week’s featured friend is also a familiar one: Chondracanthus exasperatus (explanation for why I redid this in the last paragraph). C. exasperatus (common name: Turkish Towel) is a species of red algae. Its appearance may vary with its environmental conditions; for example, its blade shape can vary depending on water velocity, and its colour can vary depending on water temperature.
It also makes for a good loofah, apparently. 😝 - A while back, I drew C. exasperatus and I wasn’t happy with it (it was really rushed and I didn’t have my small brush on me), so I took my sweet time with attempt 2. I think it turned out alright! (or, at least, attempt 1 pales in comparison). I also have a pressing of Chondracanthus (shown on the left in the first photo), which was awesome—it’s always nice to be able to have the real thing in front of you. - What would you like to see featured on a future Phycology Friday? Let me know! ☺️
Galileo Galilei is your type of rock band with a dog and children’s laughter all together at a small garage in a not so cold and cloudy day but with clear extracts of every instrument from the bass, synth, to the drums, guitar, and vocals that could bring out a little hint of warmth --- a bit of summer. Each song tells a timeless story of bittersweet nostalgia and love. It gives a sense of relief that at the end of the day, things are going to be okay.
Spring tour has ended.
early 2013: " 本当どうかしてるみたい ”
It was around early February that I *finally* convinced myself to watch the series AnoHana. The reason was that the anime title always ends up in front of my small laptop screen haha it was a bit shocking and weird. Before I knew it, I was naturally caught not only the story of the anime but also GG’s song that was resonating to me like an echo finding its way back. Gosh I hope I make sense ;_;
It was actually very hard to find a full version of Aoi Shiori . There were covers and squeaky full versions of the song but I just couldn’t find it on youtube. So I tried my hardest to find it in the deep corners of the internet and yesss I found it in super hd haha (●´ω`●)
I searched crazy on the internet about GG and it seemed that this band wasn’t really that famous like other Japanese bands that pops up quickly when I search it on google. I remember when I finally found their music on youtube. I was so happy when I found their own official channel but turns out their channel wasn’t available in my country ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ but but there was one English channel who had most of their songs and at the very least there was someone who love their music as much as I do. Back then, one song used to be only 800 to 1000 views and the most viewed had only 4000. But still, they had awesome sounds and few people outside Japan loved them.
So I downloaded every song I liked in my old pink phone which is still in use for listening music --- Freedom, Arigatou Gomen Ne, Wakkanai, and the likes (▰˘◡˘▰). Too bad we could only get it on youtube and feel guilty to not buy their albums huhu.
After that, the movie trailer came out. AnoHana had another place of bittersweet nostalgia in my heart once again lol.
mid 2013: “ 時に追いやられ”
The movie was released on summer, August 31 in Japan. Of course, people outside Japan had to wait for the online/english subtitle releases for another year. But their ending theme song came out earlier than expected.
Circle Game was part of their new album ALARMS back then. When I first heard the song, with the english translation aside, it felt all indescribable that it *kinda* resulted to this blog (◡‿◡✿) we’ll get to that hihi.
There was this part of the song that caught me and it felt magical. Without realizing, I was writing, drawing, painting this phrase over and over again on my notebooks, journals, sketch pads, even at school... it was strange and interesting to me. I kept listening and listening until I drowned myself in uncertainty(??) aah I don’t know what I’m saying ;_;
2014: “ 曖昧なことも単純なことも”
That year, everyone was all in their own to fulfill what they had to do. Friends, family, people I look up to, everyone was fulfilling their dreams. “I could do that too”, seeing them in high spirits. To me, everything was yearning for action.
In October 2014, I finally had the guts to get things real with myself. To properly put my fragments of thoughts and little experiences of life in a tiny space on the internet, to have a small part of me in the vast interconnected system. And I decided a URL right away, the one that I’ve been fascinated: Chased away by time.
GG’s See More Glass (2014) album was uploaded and found my way back at the channel with most of GG’s songs for free. They still have that dream-rock vibe in them. More people were admiring GG, views went up to over a hundred thousand. It was insane haha.
Months later, they FINALLY got their official channel. “Finally, more music!!”, I thought that maybe they made the channel for more of their music to be witnessed by people outside Japan.
2016: “Sea and the Darkness”
Surprised. Shocked. What happened? Why?
I’m not going to see them live. Those thoughts of seeing these guys in a full sold-out live house will never come. Galileo Galilei has really made a great big bang in me. Three years? Not bad, I’m quite thankful (◡‿◡✿) hehe but I’m still going to print a GG shirt no matter what.

Australia's burning, unsustainable tourism slowly thrives in my island, bleaching corals almost everywhere. Being just a mere spectator in all of this totally sucks. A decade for change and action please. 💚 Let's do what we can, we have no time for wars.
There has been a whale shark interaction recently established for tourism here in my place and it was suspected for feeding. Whale sharks follow a migratory path for food in the waters and if the feeding and baiting goes on, then their paths are definitely disrupted. The province has been on the issue for quite some time now, and orders were given to the municipality to take necessary action. But from what I have heard, people operating the site didn't claim to feed the fish but instead baiting them. I personally don't know how that differentiates with feeding. I find it strange how people desperately find ways to protect the obviously wrong things.
I had zero knowledge of the whale sharks before I encountered them in Oslob, Cebu. Back then, they were feeding them with uyap (baby shrimp). I knew nothing about the massive ecological disturbance of the people and the business did to our waters. But I'm here trying my best to use what I had learned back then and do as much as I can. So far, volunteering has been my greatest achievement and I look forward to my contributions though small, at the very least it's enough to contaminate the minds of other people haha 😂😉
Hi
I'm Hana and this is my blog. :)
My name is Justinne Hannah but you can call me Hana for short (◑‿◐)
I love art --- drawing, painting, photography, crafts, DIY, fashion, music, etc etc. I have this Nocturnal Mind where all my ideas pop up like in the middle of the night (I sometimes draw/paint at 2am). I am an idiot by day and a productive idiot by night. there's a difference
Yes, I have Japanophilia. As you can see I looove Studio Ghibli ^^ From an anime phase to Japanese street fashion, KAWAII, their language, their culture, and their music. To Japan with love someday :3

Also spreadin' kawaii love since I don't know when <3
In short, I am chased away by time ;)
Let's be friends!! <3
Peaceful place we stayed over that was a hundred kilometers away from the city. 📚✨
Some photos from our previous trip to northern mindanao🌲and went pass through plantations of pineapples for those tidbits I keep getting 😋🏡🍍
Looking forward to Shinkai’s newest film!!
Some stills from “Your Name” Director Makoto Shinkai’s new film “Weathering With You” (天気の子 Tenki no Ko, “Child of Weather”) in Japanese cinemas 19th July 2019.
It's Easy To Blame The Weather After two days of heat, sweat, and extra-large water bottles at the sports complex, I finally laid my hands on Magnolia's Avocado Macchiato ice cream huhuhu 😭 Even though the sun was crazy the whole day, right when it was about to set, we all saw this little flare of color in the sky 🌈
