And this afternoon they're having a party😄 However, I didn't get the memo sent out last week about the kids making a "Leprechaun Catcher" at home and bringing it for the party, sooo... it didn't get made😐 Now I have about 4 hours to come up with a "Leprechaun Catcher". No matter what project I'm working on (I have several right now, so please excuse the mess😨), Dollar always sits near me and chews on his beef bone. My #constantcompanion , he keeps my feet warm at night when he takes up the majority of my bed, he protects Leocadia, he scares coyotes away, and is a #spoiledrottendog But as soon as my brother comes home for a visit, Dollar quickly becomes his #bigpuppy Traitor. 🤣

Courtesy of @hgtv , the whole of the White House looks lovely (despite who's in it, the decorators always do their best 👍) but what is so jarring is this particular hallway. It's fugly. It should be in A Nightmare Before Christmas fan fic movie (And I love Nightmare Before Christmas). It makes zero sense with the rest of the House, unless the designer/decorator wanted to make a jarring and bleak statement about the current state of affairs...🤔 Anyways, I won't watch the HGTV special, since my 4 year old controls the TV. So those of you who do watch the special, let me know what you think of the White House this Xmas!

I'm working on the dollhouse kitchen today. Countertops and cupboards are now under construction. ✏📏📐✂🛠 You know what's awesome about being a creative, being a maker? That a person can do anything, make anything, fix what needs to be fixed. And have the empowerment to solve problems or puzzles, even when they require another person's help or expertise. I have friends that can create amazing things with the mediums they have chosen to express themselves with. Be that expression come through painting, needle arts, coding, building, paperarts, whatever it is, we are makers, artists, doers, and crafters. There really isn't a distinction. When it comes to self-expression, we are all part of a larger community that should embrace all of our differences. We can't afford to be elitists and exclusionary because its those innovators and dreamers that can and will push us and help us to become the best we can be.
