If season 2 is about one particular theme, for me it's the power of grief. Yes season one is about grief too, but damn s2 is drowning in it.

Jinx attacking the council at the end of s1 out of grief and anger. She rarionalizes it as getting back at them for the loss of Silco.

Cait grieving her mother and seiging the undercity with the Gray. Inevitably falling to fascism and becoming a dictator

Vi grieving her past relationships and then becoming even more destructive after Cait leaves.

Hell even Sevika is greiving Silco. That's one of the reasons she teams up with Jinx, their shared grief

Jayce grieving Viktor both after the council attack and after he leaves

And then the true foot of it all, Singed. His grief is what truly started it all. Grief led him to make shimmer, just to bring his daughter(?) Back to life. It made him warp Vander into Warwick.

Grief defines the very essence of the story.

Noticed something while rewatching Good Omens s2

When Jim said in his second big flashback “It would be an institutional problem”, It can actually be interpreted in two different ways. First, we realize that it is in reference to what the Metatron said about Gabriel being cast down to hell. He is saying that Gabriel won’t be banished from Heaven for rejecting Armageddon 2.0, but instead be demoted to scrivener. Except at the culmination of the episode, we learn that Gabriel had been meeting with Beelzebub, falling in love with them. So when we go back to the “institutional problem” line, it now has a second meaning. Having another set of Angel/Demon run off together would make it seem like an institutional problem, meaning that they would be wrong on another occasion.
