the way in season one halbrand just ... sits next to galadriel after the battle. the dark lord. just. sitting. and next to galadriel. his enemy. the person he knows is hunting him down in a grief-stricken rage after the death of her brother. the person he is hoping to build a strong enough bond with so that when his true identity is revealed she will accept him and his past so they may build together a future. accept that their souls are both lightning in a world full of moonbeams. their souls are fire in a world full of frost. in a moment of contemplative stillness he just goes and ... sits next to her. and some people think he doesn't love her. couldn't be me. i have eyes.
