god every time i watch leverage i'm just reminded that like. they didn't HAVE to put in the amount of effort that they did! they didn't NEED to keep nate's storylines about his addiction and his son and his father consistent. they didn't NEED to stretch out the parker/hardison slowburn so elegantly. they didn't NEED to give tara goddamn cole a character arc despite her being in the show for like half a season!
but they did!! they did all of these things!!! and they also dedicated entire episodes to team-building (the rashomon job), they also kept sterling consistent, they also made the goddamn RUNDOWN JOB like. this show did not have to be as good as it is!! but it really is just SO GOOD
đĽ˛this is giving many feelings.
God I wish we had this more in the films
thinking about the sully siblings and how Spider was smaller than them physically, but he was still their big brother, and the pure shenanigans it must cause.
like. they're so much bigger than him, but they no doubt still act like they're little compared to their brother at times.
like you want to tell me they don't hide behind him or lean over so they can rest their head on his shoulder or tuck under his arm. tell me they don't lay on top of him like he's their personal pillow.
its not odd to see all his siblings gathering around him, Kiri resting her head on Spi, while Lo'ak holds his arm, Tuk tucked against his waist, while 'tey rests his chin on Spi's head (he loves all the attention, even if he huffs and puffs like any good big brother). they look silly cause the kids have to crouch and twist and bend to use their brother as a leaning post, and he practically disappears under all their blue.
and that includes rough housing, even if it's unintentional. the kids jumping up for a piggyback ride even when they're nearly double if not triple Spider's size.
Tuk wanting to be carried around by her big brother all the time. Kiri accidentally tugging her brother too hard when excited to show him something. the boys teaming up against their brother when playing, forgetting he can hardly handle one of them, let alone both at once.
his siblings getting the rare chance for a sleepover and cuddling around him like a bunch of big cats. they're tucked around him, under him, on top of him, with just enough care to make sure he doesn't suffocate in his sleep.
when they need some loving, Spider has to beckon them down to give their foreheads a kiss or to wrap them up in a proper hug. Spider likes to tuck his siblings head to his chest with both his arms and squeeze them tight.
when he's got to give them a big brother chat, the kids have to be kneeled down so Spider doesn't have to stare up at them (he tends to kneel too, so they're eye to eye, cause when he looks down on them, they tuck their little ears and he feels bad).
like. they're just big babies that need their big brother to take care of them and love them, even if they're giants compared to him.
I'm trying to prove something.
Growing.
So, as a cook and a former intense athlete, I have to be hella conscious about keeping in shape and not gaining a shit ton of weight by inhaling everything I eat 24/7. This is why, when I can, I like to work with healthier shit to combat all the creamy, sugar and fat filled delicacies I make like 24/7. For everyone like me whoâs working on staying in shape or being healthy, this recipes for you, my precious weeb losers. Based on the Honey Lemon Slices from Kuroko no Basuke (my current obsession), I decided to do my own take on this insanely good for you Japanese treat. OH. AND FUN FACT ABOUT THESE. ITâS A SNACK AND A DRINK ALL IN ONE. Youâll find out what Iâm talking about later.
~ Honey Lemon Slices (serves: an entire fucking basketball team ayyoo)
-
Ingredients-
2 lemons
enough honey to fully cover all the lemons*
½ tsp cinnamon
½ tsp  ginger
7 mint leaves (for later)
4 cups water (for later)
*So fun fact for all your plebs out there: thereâs like 5 million types of honeys that vary in not only flavor, but texture. For this recipe, I used a creamy clover honey mixed with a more transparent, thick chestnut honey to combat the sweetness with some bitterness from the chestnut. Use whatever the fuck you want, but if youâre using a raw, or creamy honey, mix it with some water to make it more liquidy and stuff.
~ Procedure-
Thinly slice the lemons, making sure youâre using basically everything but the ends and REMOVE ALL THE SEEDS HOLY SHIT.
Once theyâre all sliced, mix your honey with the cinnamon and ginger until itâs all combined. Then, take a glass tupperware container thing and cover the bottom with a thin layer of your honey mixture.
On top of that, add one layer of lemon slices, and then just alternate between honey and lemon slices until you finished all the lemon slices.Â
Once thatâs done, pour in the remainder of your honey mixture so that it completely covers the lemons, and then cover that with a lid and throw it in the fridge.
Keep it chilled for at least 2 days, and no more than 3 days. Try and shake or mix the container at least twice a day so that the lemon juices can mix with the honey.
Once thatâs all done, throw it in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes so that theyâre hella chilled, and then remove the lemon slices from the container.
After theyâre all plated and shit, combine 4 cups of water, 7 mint leaves, and hell, some ice cubes, with the liquid in the tupperware container.
Defeat your basketball foes with your incredible jumps and your moe qualities.
~ TADAH MOTHERFUCKER. You just made a hella healthy treat for you and your shit weeb friends to eat and drink while youâre watching kawaii dudes dripping glittery sparkle sweat all over the B-Ball courts.
Make this during the summer when you want something cold, sweet and healthy to devour, make em when youâre sick to get some radical antioxidants and vitamin C or whatever, just make them all the fucking time I dare you, you pieces of shit. ALRIGHTY. THATâS ALL FOR THIS RECIPE. STAY TUNED FOR MORE RECIPES THAT WILL DEFINITELY NOT INVOLVE KUROKO NO BASUKE IN SOME WAY (maybe probably i think sort of) Later, nerds. Â Â
Eliot Spencer, Parker, and Hardison- all skittish children/teenagers that Nate finds on the street.
Nate finding them in an alley in Boston. Eliot protecting Parker and Hardison- the meanest glare on his face. Snarling at Nate and using his body to shield them from this strange man. All three of the children look haggard and starving- Parker and Hardison holding onto each other with one hand- while the other is gripping Eliot's dirty torn shirt. Eliot whose blue eyes are hard as a stone- challenging Nate to come closer.
Nate, who has no qualms about three dirty, grimy, and... is that blood? Children in an alleyway. With placated hands in the air- looking directly at Eliot. Honesty on his face- "Come home with me."
They don't. Nate leaves.
The next day- Nate comes back. Asks the same thing. Same response. He leaves after leaving a bag of food behind.
Their wild animals and to get them to trust him- he needs to be gentle. So he continues to do this every time he passes the alley.
Something changes, when one day the girl- Parker- comes to the opening. She's gnawing on her bottom lip fear in her eyes.
"Please!" She begs, "Their hurt!"
Then she it's like a waterfall of words. Parker is explaining how Hardison tried to get food- but was caught and Eli fought the shopkeeper off- but had gotten shot and it's infected and Hardison tried to go for the gun and- and- and...
Nate follows Parker to the end of the alleyway and Eliot looks sick. Hardison isn't looking any better. Parker is crying. She's begging Nate to help.
He does. He convinces the EMT's that they are his adopted kids that ran away for three days. Somehow they don't question him. They take Hardison and Eliot in. Nate tells the doctors to keep them in the same room. He knows how protective Eliot is.
Somehow- they survive.
...Okay. That's all I got. đ
I adore them
Evolution of Eliot/Hardison hugs over the years.
And the one time that Eliot really needed a hug:

the fuck netflix tag
Lockwood & Co fans đ¤ Shadow and Bone fans
If I think too long about Parker constantly poking Eliot's wounds I go insane. Something something he sees himself as this unredeemable monster but she isn't afraid of him in the slightest and she shows him again and again that she's not scared because she knows him, she knows he's a good man despite what he used to do, even if he doesn't see that.
Random stuff I love. Currently obsessed with Lockwood and co. Pls go stream it on Netflix we need season 2!!
