so i haven't read the books but something i so far really love about lockwood & co is the costume design, particularly with Lucy and Lockwood.
Lockwood spends most of the show dressed up in a pretty, pressed suit, sleeves rolled up and tie removed as necessary, but every so often we see him in a plain white t-shirt, a hoodie, but only in his home, only with his team. But even his suit isn't perfectly formal, the fact that he's still kind of a kid peeks through- pink socks and worn-out sneakers and undone top buttons and rolled up sleeves like the layers frustrate him.
Lucy's outfits, once she escapes the ill-fitting, ugly, and ultimately not very protective uniform of her old company, wears clothes that are practical but still very feminine. Thick sweaters and leggings under her skirts and jackets that actually look as warm as they are cute. Her clothes never compromise that she is, at heart, a young girl, without getting in the way with too-tight fabrics or too-loose skirts or any other male-gaze-style costumes.
I dunno, I just love when costume designs reflect things about characters, especially in terms of practicality.

The team holding Eliot back from violence, either with a simple gesture or by putting themselves in front of him.
And the time the violence was encouraged:
Reblog if reading someone else’s fanfiction has helped you get through a hard day
percy shoving annabeth and grover down the stairs so that he can stay and hold off the monsters exactly like thalia did and i bet that's all either of them can think about and just like last time they cant DO anything even though this time theyre older and they SHOULD be able to STOP it or HELP or do SOMETHING but theyre just as powerless as they were all those years ago watching a forbidden kid give their life to protect them because of the gods' pride and jealousy
#Something something about Annabeth expecting help from her mother because she was always the perfect kid but getting sent to her own death and Percy expecting nothing because he doesn't believe in his dad and despite everything being saved from death by him
In The Maltese Falcon Job when Parker is told by Hardison that Tara might've sold them out, Jesus fucking Christ it's terrifying. The way her whole demeanor changed, the mad glint in her eyes, the expressionless scrutiny, the way she grabs Tara's throat and just dangles her over the ledge like it's nothing. 'I dangle myself from buildings with my fingertips. Bye now' and then that smile???? That terrifying, Heath Ledger's Joker level smile as she says Bye Now???Parker is more than just the greatest thief in the world and a damn good mastermind, she's also downright fucking terrifying when she's pissed off with a target and that never comes up in like 99% of the meta and even in some of the episodes and imho that's something that really shouldn't be forgotten
Akashi: Helpful grammar tip: “farther” is for physical distance, “further” is for methaphorical distance, and “father” is for emotional distance!
I still can't get over how Eliot and Hardison do their "secret" handshake- even though Eliot is miffed that Hardison ate his sandwhich.
I still can't get over how Parker calls Eliot "Sparky," and he's scared enough to rip open his apple- because he actually thinks Parker somehow got a razor blade in it.
I still can't get over how Eliot tells Hardison that he won't help him if he goes to far with "Ice Man," and when Hardison calls him out on it- Eliot blames Parker.
I still can't get over how Hardison comes to Eliot when he needs help brushing up on wine.
I still can't get over how Parker goes to Eliot when she's looking for something to love and he teaches her to love food.
I still can't get over how Parker is allowed to poke and push Eliot.
I still can't get over how Hardison riles Eliot up and it's just reflex for Eliot to say; "DAMNIT Hardison."
I can't get over how they became a little family all on their own.

You’ll be okay, friend <3
If you like Lockwood & co, want to see a second season of Lockwood & co, don’t wait weeks to watch it when it’s the biggest genre for getting the axe sooner than you would expect.
Drop it in your background, run while you’re out of the house and start it up again when you get back and put a notepad over it. Watch it tonight, and don’t dole it out like treats. Netflix needs completion not just hours which is depressing because I sure as hell don’t like binging shows anymore than the rest of the country.
We might look okay the way we’re going but I’ve seen shows cancelled in less than a week of it airing.
Random stuff I love. Currently obsessed with Lockwood and co. Pls go stream it on Netflix we need season 2!!
