Fuck am I gonna have to watch my parents get divorced again???

The x files… the themes… WHAT HAPPENED!!!!! If the x files had stuck to its theming it literally would’ve been the fact that Mulder and Scully loved each other that would save the day. But instead they decided to hurt them over and over and they never got their happy ending. Divorce arc and family members dying one by one and they never get anything they want and the grief is overwhelming and THATS NOT EVEN THE POINT OF THE SHOW!!!’ ITS JUST THE DRAMA FOR TELEVISION!!!!!

So i’m near the end of season 8 (and potentially putting it off a little) and with all the spoilers I’ve seen… how tf do they not both kill themself? Like all the grief I hear that they are about to suffer and then “yeah and then Scully just goes to be a normal doctor in the revival and they don’t really talk anymore” WHAT DO YOU MEAN? How does that happen? Like i’m sure I’ll find out but i feel like the show could’ve ended at season 5 (i do love dogget and reyes tho)

Hey!!! I did end up making a post about this, cannon is wrong not me, i am aware that this is establish in s3e23 wetwired❤️ i don’t feel like digging through my blog to find it so ill just reiterate myself: it doesn’t make logical sense for him to be red/green color blind. In either colony or endgame or both (i cant remember off the too of my head) he can tell the difference between green “alien blood” and red human blood, so he is not red green color blind as he does not perceive one as the other and can clearly see the distinction (it does happen other times in cannon but i dont feel like digging through the wiki rn)

Edit: also if he were color blind enough not to be able to perceive the colors in wetwired he would’ve failed a Farnsworth D-15 test and not be allowed to be in the FBI it was a throw away line plot device that they didn’t think through

My unpopular hot take is that I don't think Maggie Scully is nearly as open and warm and purehearted as fandom likes to think she is
