"We need more complex female characters" you guys can't even handle Chappell Roan, Real Life Woman with Boundaries
Here ya go, Nina! *gives her an AK-47*
She collects weapons!
i do think there should be more stories and shows and stuff about guys falling in love with butch women actually, i think that’d be a good thing. and not ‘this is as butch as twitter can handle’, i mean butch as can fucking be without apology, and making those boys weak in the knees about it. i think it’s great actually to have f/m romances that exist to break gender norms, too. i think it sucks that the only mainstream het romances that exist are either about women who are already feminine or with women who are just a little too scarily masculine and have to be fixed into being girlier. that’s shit.
maybe a bit controversial, probably not but lace code is alive and well and i find it weird that some people throw a fit over that.
(please keep in mind this blog is written by a German from a German perspective and with German lace code in mind, red =/= Nazi here)
the only people I've ever really seen throwing a fit over lace code still being taken seriously is Nazis trying to signal their allegiances without having to live in fear which is absolutely fucking stupid because Nazis aren't safe and shouldn't feel safe. especially not in a community that is literally built on leftist politics. and the other people is people who for some reason feel like they cant just wear for example red laces without being a communist or anarchist, like that's fine. antifascists wear them too!!
lace code is alive and well and is getting used daily by many people, whenever I've asked people if their shoelaces have meanings if they have different coloured laces in their boots it was rather "yeah its my favorite colour" or "yeah its lace code" and both is totally valid especially since in Germany or at least were i am the only suspicious colour is white, or white paired with literally anything else.
i personally wear a pink and a red pair of shoelaces and i used to wear red and blue or pink and blue, I'm currently looking to extend my shoe lace collection but its extremely difficult to find coloured shoelaces IRL so i might just dye a few at this point
oh yeah and here's a little cutout from my reworked lace code blog from my banned spacehey acc (rip) I'm probably gonna republish this and then also throw it onto here it has a bit of history and stuff
Love for soft butches. Love for butches who don’t work hard labor, blue collar job. Love for butch academics, butch retail workers, butch office workers. Love for butches with soft hands and soft bodies, without callouses or scars, without those features that are considered appropriately masculine. Love for physically disabled butches, for fat butches, for butches with stretch marks that aren’t from building muscle, for butches with big tits, hips, bellies. Love for butches without tattoos, butches that like to bake, butches that are homebodies. Love for butches that wear sweaters more than leather, sneakers more than boots. Butch hardness and more stereotypical masculinity is beautiful, but butchness comes in so many forms, many of them soft, and the softness of butches deserves just as much love as any other quality.
Being on tumblr is fun because you get to meet people who are like yeah I wanna be punk but also I don’t want to give up Harry Potter, it’s too special to me, also I’m poor so I shop on Temu, and my art skills suck so I would rather buy my patches on Amazon, also I don’t thrift because they never have anything that I like or that fits me, so I’d rather just buy it from Hot Topic, and-
