google search how to stop experiencing anticipatory grief when this world has taken so much from me already
Things you can do to help someone while they're in psychosis in a psych ward:
Bring them necessities like soap and clothing and good toothbrushes. After being forced into gowns for a while it's really nice to be able to wear something personal and comfy. It's also nice to take care of yourself when coming back to reality. When realizing you haven't washed in ages a good shower is beyond awesome
Bring things to distract them like books and magazines that suit their interests. Hospitals can be incredibly boring. They can also most certainly feel like jail. It's brutal sometimes. These places have the bare minimum and any little bit of this helps a lot
Visit to show moral support even when they can't communicate or keep their eyes open from sedation. Physical company helps a lot of the time
Accompany them for walks when permitted. Feeling the wind or seeing trees or stars after being unable to for a long time is priceless
Keep them company by calling them after visiting hours end
Gift them coffee or comfort food. They can be big sources of endorphins. Something yummy will always be yummy no matter how detached from the world you get... provided things like delusions don't get in the way
Remain calm if they lose their composure. It personally tended to help me ground myself or lessen the panic I was having. People who were reactionary to me in a negative way defeated the purpose of being around me at the time
Show good vibes. When living a mental nightmare this can help improve state of mind or even delusions and hallucinations. Like even a smile can help tons ngl
Keep patient and don't take things personally. I had my own mother and doctors yelling at me because I wasn't acting the way they liked and it made things so so much worse
Understand that someone unwell might have a long grueling road of recovery ahead of them. Best thing to do is accept them regardless of what occurs
Advocate for their personal needs such as dietary preferences
This of course is all dependent on what's allowed at the psych ward
“i’m a serious artist” i say, making another shitty meme comic
AU where Zuko and Iroh join up with the gang in Book 2 while they're fugitives in the Earth Kingdom. Except when they get to Ba Sing Se, Azula doesn't realise this and still offers to take Zuko make to the Fire Palace
Zuko says yes and spends all of Book 3 acting as a spy in the Fire Palace
Honestly, talking to our hallucinations is hilarious.
There's a weird figure in the dark? Dude, get off of my lawn. Go home.
We see a cat for a split second but it was never there? There goes the extradimensional cat, that's a good kitty.
We see bugs that aren't real? Besties you really gotta start paying rent to be in here!
There's weird figures darting around the corners of our vision, never clear enough to be seen? Sorry we looked at you, I totally get social anxiety!
It makes it seem less serious and lets less room for fear to creep in, because when we get afraid is really when it gets bad. "Why are you talking to yourself?" So I don't go insane actually. Deal with it.
When Wild was overwhelmed or scared during his first adventure, he always ended up playing with Wolfie
One day, Wild tapped Wolfie’s snoot and Twilight kinda jerked back, not expecting to be touched that close to his face while he was half asleep
The reaction made Wild laugh and he has a habit of doing it now
That habit expanded from just Wolfie
His first victim after Twi was Sidon. While he was thinking about trying it on Sidon, he kinda was just like 0_0 for a few minutes
Sidon asked what was up after the very uncomfortable silence between them, Wild told his giant ass to lean down, Sidon did and he got booped
Sidon had a more confused reaction, but laughed with Link. Sidon’s been booped before, it’s been 100 years, but he still remembers the feeling
Third victim was Tulin
This is pre-totk so he’s still just that little guy who flaps his little wings when his dad hits one target
Wild went over there to ask/tell Teba something and Tulin begged Wild to shoot, so he did. When he got back to Tulin, the little guy was elated definitely not because he didn’t accidentally forget to switch arrows and therefore wasted a bomb arrow Wild became very happy and was reminded of how much he loved kids and booped Tulin who got extra happy
Tulin is autistic guys😔
This habit is still very ongoing. He’s victimized Zelda too. It didn’t help when he was suddenly surrounded by more boopable victims
Especially with one with a very pointy nose…
He made Time his first victim in the Chain. He had a similar reaction that Wolfie did
Wild loves his nose and keeps booping it, Time has learned to except his fate and follows his nose tap with him ruffling Wild’s hair
Anyway, yeah, Wild likes booping noses
Please boop him back, he loves it

blowing a kiss to all the disabled people who cant work and a kiss to all the disabled people who shouldnt be working but have to because of their circumstances and a kiss to disabled people who have never and will never work and a kiss to the disabled people who dont want to work your worth is not measured by your productivity ily
What Jason thinks happened with Tim becoming Robin after him.
Shoutout to people who relapse quick.
Shoutout to people who try to recover, but it doesn’t ever last long.
Shoutout to the people who want to get better, but they’re struggling to start.
I see so many people comforting those far into recovery who’ve relapsed, saying that it is a normal part of recovery and they will be okay. Which is completely true! But I rarely see that same energy for people who haven’t been clean for long or who relapse often.
It’s hard to get your footing in recovery. Wanting to get better and taking steps to get better are two very different things; one much harder than the other.
Even a quickly failed attempt at recovery is something worth celebrating.
Trying to recover, knowing you probably won’t stay clean for long, and still deciding to try again is something impressive.
The only consistent trait in recovery from anything is relapsing at least once. If you don’t relapse, then you haven’t done the work to heal the cause of your destructive behavior. Relapse is integral to healing.
While it is ideal that these relapses are few and far between, that is something that is just unattainable for some.
I often see comments on tiktok that talk about how annoying it is when someone says “one second clean” or something along those lines, but I couldn’t disagree more. I am such a strong believer that every single second you aren’t acting on self destructive impulses is an accomplishment.
Especially if you’re actively resisting that behavior.
Relapse is normal in recovery. That includes relapses that happen after months of being clean, and relapses that happen within hours of being clean. While you should always strive to go longer and longer without relapsing, any amount of time spent not relapsing is something to be proud of.
Intent matters. Wanting to get better matters, even if you aren’t making much progress, is something to celebrate. Strive to be better, but don’t forget the little victories along the way.
