Daniel, wake up. Your readers are calling me “poor little meow meow” on their online forum application. What do they mean by this, Daniel? You’ll recall it was Louis who meowed. Did you not tell them I am incredibly wealthy? One of them said I was “born in a cardboard box and left in the rain to die”. This is a patently untrue telling of my history. You’ve misrepresented me
After studying three of the greats — Holmes, Poirot, Columbo — I have determined that in order to be a popular fictional detective you MUST be autistic you MUST be a nosy bitch and you MUST have a boybestfriend to bounce your theories off of.
‘But op, what about Columbo? Columbo doesn’t have a boybestfriend!’ You fools. His boybestfriend is the murderer.
is it an horrific dream?: a web weaving
The Autobiography of Special Agent Dale Cooper: My Life, My Tapes by Scott Frost (1991)/ Blue Velvet by David Lynch (1986)/ The Hurting by Tears for Fears (1983)/ The Hidden by Jack Sholder (1987)/ Tibet by Rose McDowall (1986)
literally this scene was just unfair
I really love the idea that Ned thinks he’s a gentle parent but like….by northern standards. He’ll be like ah I remember what this was like I can’t be as harsh as my father…..boy hostage fetch my sword I have decided you children will watch me perform a beheading instead of the traditional bloodeagle. I know I know I’m getting soft in my old age (27)
i love how david lynch takes the teen detective trope and goes those kids would be unbelievably fucked up actually. they’d be an 18 year old in the noir world and they would not be doing normal
she’s always just teasing in good faith with a good heart behind it because they’re friends, and she likes him, and he’s a dork and honestly so is she! and he’s never really had someone be nice to him like that, he’s so used to jokes being at his expense and too sharp and with veiled disdain behind them that it’s almost normal. so when Scully messes with him, says things like “must be an x-file” in response to his confusion, he visibly stalls.
