The problem with dragons is they tend to extend their wings off the page.  I tell them to keep it down, but they won't be bossed around.  Relax, dragon!

I think I'll leave it at this for now.  I Have tentacles to take care of.

Here's a maniacal, motivational goburin for your Mondays. Daily sketches. Ended up liking lil' hattie gob, so I did a (not so)quick animation for kicks.

I've been meaning to migrate my old photo blog into tumbler, and I'm happy I finally did it!  (http://boxybryfly.tumblr.com/) Armed with a new lens, an oiled up bike, and new, secret, Wacom tech, I am ready to attack the free world once again! After lunch.  And maybe when it's not too hot to bike around in full gear. >_> <_<

More birds in a basket, etc.

1) My spirit animal in the morning.  We both wake up with our hair up.  That and I like grey. 2) A collared dove?  They love to sit in the tiny seed boat.  Sometimes, I notice a finch sitting up on the hummingbird feeder while the doves eat below.  Is it possible that the finch is keeping watch for the dove?

Also:  The finches used to prefer the millet seeds, leaving the sunflower seeds for the big birds like the dove and the occasional western scrub jay.  But after running out of millet seeds, they started to eat the sunflower seeds more, and now eat the sunflower seeds first and leave the millet seeds alone.  Did they acquire this behavior from the big birds? 

Another thing I’m curious about:  after setting up my seed buffet, more and more types appear to visit - finches, jays, and doves. Squirrels too!  I can understand finches communicating to each other, but how do other species find my buffet?  Merely by seeing other birds flock?  Inter-species collaboration?

3) Not a hummingbird. 5) Fly trapped 6) Basil growing nicely 7) Imagine if every Starbucks cup was re-purposed as a planter.

In the near dystopian future, proper ladies will carry octopus umbrellas. Will that then make it more utopian? Yes. Because that’s how octopuseseseses will take over the human race. They will pretend to be umbrellas and whisper into our ears while we blissfully stroll around, none-the-wiser.

Why it took me so long to get into Spine, I don't know. But now that I have, I've been digging into whatever art I've done to, quite literally, breath some new life into them. For those who don't know, Spine is a really neat program that makes it relatively easy to animate 2D art and even deform them to mimic 3D. Great for game dev or just fancy gifs if you like. This particular piece was from 5 years ago, and looking up the old employer I discovered that they actually released the game August of this year! Too bad I don't have an apple device.   Last night:  Half asleep while scrolling through my feed, I misread "Juvenile Cuttlefish" as "Bovine Cuttlefish."  Somehow it became this.

I noticed my nephew liked to pretend he was excavating fossils (crayons and coins) from my play-sand so I baked some clay bones for him to discover hee hee. It was surprisingly fun to do but I apologize to paleontologists everywhere for the... freedoms I took hehe. Also, I may or may not bury a unicorn fossil in our backyard. >_>

Edit: Uh-oh. I think he liked it too much. He actually thinks that, somehow, a real fossil made it into my room. hehe.
