(Photos are not mine, I just got them off of Google) Okay. These things are NOT bees. All of them are hoverflies. Flies have two wings, bees have four. I keep seeing pictures of hoverflies with people being all like, "Haha, look at this cute bee. She's so great, I think I made a friend today!" Well, guess what? That, "Cute bee" is actually a fly DISGUISED as a bee.

Monitoring Vernal Pools with my family and a really neat friend. This is how we had to measure the pools. It was great. 

We had a lot of birds in our area on the Christmas Bird Count.

Sialia sialis - Eastern Bluebird He’s actually a lot brighter. The coloring just went a bit bad since I took this photo through a window, and it was cloudy outside.

This is possibly one of my favorite pictures that I’ve taken so far.
