istg I had notes and an outline and even some dialogue written about Jayce meeting Sevika but it's all poof! gone!
ik I can rewrite it and thankfully I remember most of it/what I want out of that scene but damn, it's frustrating π
An excerpt from chapter one of the Jayvik fanfic "Am I Too Late?" on ao3:
Jayce fell to the floor. He instantly knew he was in the wrong time. Perhaps the wrong timeline. He was in the broken building, except it was whole. The Counsel hadnβt been blown up yet. Which meant Viktor was alive. Seeing Mage Viktor grown old had been itβs own shock. It had been a meeting of warnings and pleas to save his own timeline. There was no time nor the reciprocated desire for a heartfelt reunion, no matter how much Jayce had wanted to hold him.
It had reenforced how Jayce felt about Viktor. He'd loved Viktor for a long time. But loving Mel had been easier. It'd been easier than complicating his friendship with Viktor. Loving her had been easier, and he had loved Mel. He'd loved her until they had grown to be too much and not enough for each other. He loved her still, loved her enough to let her go. But Jayce loved Viktor too much. Too much to let go. He loved him enough to fight.Β
Fic Summary:
After being dropped in the wrong timeline, Jayce takes what little time he has to try to save this world before he leaves to his own doomed timeline. Can the Jayce and Viktor he leaves behind avoid ruin that so many other timelines and worlds are facing? And can they process their own feelings for each other along the way?

An excerpt from jayvik fic "Am I Too Late?" on ao3
Jayce hurried through the halls while his mind raced. His meeting with Silco had gone well, or at least thatβs what he initially thought while he was still high off the adrenaline of meeting someone so dangerous. But now he was doubting himself. He was sure heβd negotiated right, the way Mel had taught him, but firmer. Yet Silco was not from Piltover. He was not a counselor or a rich man with influence in their world. He was a dangerous drug lord from the Undercity- from Zaun. Heβd been around longer than Jayce and used different methods. Had things gone well?
Jayce was still alive. Heβd walked away with an agreement with Silco. He just needed to convince the Council. And pray Silco gave up Jinx. Heβd initially thought it would be a no brainer for Silco. Just give up one of his lackeys for peace between them. But his reaction had made Jayce wonder what Jinx was to him. Or did Zaunites have a deeper sense of loyalty for each other. Always under the foot of Piltover, they wouldnβt trade each other because without each other what did they have left? What if Silco refused to give up Jinx? Could Jayce still convince the council to let go of their control over Zaun?
He needed to find Viktor. He would be able to provide insight to Jayceβs dilemma, but also because Viktor would want to attend the meeting. Viktor came to most council meetings regardless, but this one was about his home. Jayce knew it was the right thing to do. It was maddening that it had taken this long for anything to come this close. For anyone to bring this issue before the Council in so long. Zaun deserved their freedom, and it was long past due.
