THIS. I really wished they kept their personality change in Stampede. It made Knives’ turn that much more poignant.

Reading the manga and I’m literally SO fucked up over baby Knives. Like…

KNIVES was the emotional one. KNIVES was the crybaby who wanted everyone to like him. VASH feels more like the calm emotional-support twin, which makes it SO MUCH MORE DEVASTATING what happened? Like I am positive a million people have already talked about this, and better than me, but. Knives WANTED to love and be loved by humanity. He didn’t end up the way he is because he’s evil or anything, he’s just SCARED. He saw what humans did to Tessla, and later on what they do to other plants, and he decided that the only way to keep himself (and Vash) safe is to get rid of them. And I mean, look at how they attack Vash for being a “monster,” even when he hadn’t done anything wrong? I don’t blame him for feeling that way!

I’m curious why Vash ended up the way he is. Like, they really did seem to switch personalities a bit after the Tessla incident. God I just need more Knives and Vash TT_TT
