just found out that there is a sudanfunds website! like gazafunds, it is a compilation of funds for people facing genocide
you must love life even when you have no stomach for it
I see all that random general knowledge swimming in my head does eventually get to be of use eh.
I happened stumble on the TSP summary on ao3 which i actually read for the first time, and couldn't help but notice.....the name pf the cold case 'red camellia' sounded like smthg i heard before, and after racking through my brain I suddenly remembered it:'the black dahlia'.I don't know if you've ever heard of it but it was a rather infamous case of the murder of a young lady aspiring to become a hollywood star and I don't know, it reminded me of the name arrangement of like a colour and then a flower name.....
it was inspired by the Black Dahlia case! A little, anyway. but that's just one of the most famous floral crime cases out there ( there are TON of flower-nicknamed murders, for the drama ), and I thought Red Camellias and their tragic symbolism were perfect for soukoku.
Hello kind souls πβ€οΈ
β€οΈβπ©Ήππβ€οΈβπ©Ήπ¨
βI am engaged, and my wedding date was at the end of December 2023. I was preparing for it as any girl dreams of a wonderful wedding and starting a new life. But unfortunately I lost all that in the blink of an eye. But my dream remained to have a wedding after survival and to travel with my family And my fiance .β
But I will never forgive myself for not doing everything possible or imaginable to save their lives and get them to safety.β€οΈβπ©Ή
I will not abandon any of them, and I still hope you will donate and share my fundraising campaign to raise enough money to fund their evacuation.
my familyπ©΅π
Fear began to overtake me... I never imagined that I would forget any of the memories of my beautiful home. I had a house in the northern Gaza Strip, in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood... a beautiful house with two floors. I return to it after every ordeal to find myself in the arms of my family, my home that had memories in every corner of it... My family's shelter has become a pile of rubble.ππβ€οΈβπ©Ήπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπβ€οΈπ
Before After
A side of our meaning ππ
Now, my family and I are facing a difficult choice. We need to evacuate for the safety of our lives, but the cost is beyond our means. Each person requires , and without your support, our options are painfully limited.
I humbly ask for your compassion and generosity. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to safety and a chance to rebuild our shattered dreams.
Please, if you can, consider donating through the link . Your kindness could make all the difference.
Thank you for standing with us in this π₯ΊπΉπ·
A Call for Help Amidst the Devastation in Gaza
My name is Hanan Al-Salout, a Palestinian mother and children's counselor. I write to you today with a heart heavy with indescribable pain and sorrow, due to the loss and destruction my family has faced as a result of the war.ππ’
The relentless violence has taken everything from us our home, our livelihoods, and even the sense of safety we once had. I lost my job, and my husband He lost his job too is fighting with all his strength to keep our family standing amid unbearable suffering. ππ
But the greatest pain is seeing my little child, Yaseen, who is not even two years old, live in constant fear. Every day he wakes up to the horrors of war, sheltered by a torn tent that no longer protects us from the cold or the wind. π
My elderly mother-in-law is also suffering, as the catastrophic conditions of the war exceed her weak body's ability to endure, causing her to suffer from anemia and severe weakness, leaving her in a pitiable state! π’π
Winter storms have destroyed the last bit of shelter we had, leaving us exposed to the harsh elements. We have sold everything we own,
Now all we have left are our prayers and hope that your compassionate hearts will hear our plea.
This war has turned into an extermination of innocent families, children, and dreams. We live each day in fear of becoming another number in the growing list of casualties. π’
We plead with you to look upon us with mercy. Your support could be the difference between life and death for my family. ππ€

someone: hey I noticed this thing you did in your writing!
me, kicking my feet up flirtatiously: oh??? do you want to hear my thoughts on why I did that? do you want a play-by-play of the language choices in every related sentence? do you want an exhaustive breakdown of The Themes???

israel's invasion of jenin is so aggressive and inhumane that it speaks volumes how underreported it is in mainstream media. blocking aid from the refugee camps (classic starvation tactic), displacing at least 20 families in the last 24 hours alone, and now setting fire to jenin's market. they are razing streets with bulldozers. people are left without electricity, food, or water. and now they're targeting ambulances and medical staff without even trying to pretend it's erroneous or they're just terrorists. this is what complete impunity looks like
sorry to all the βbsd is badly writtenβ believers unfortunately there is no feeling quite like doing background research and having a lightbulb moment when you make the connection of why asagiri wrote a character a certain way
